Chapter 2

One morning Horus had finished helping Lilitha around the house, and went to play with the other boys close to his house, up until Troy came looking for him, as he wanted to take him for hunting. They both made their way towards the forest, accompanied by his cub Tolby. As they travelled talking, singing, with Tolby chasing from behind as he was being left due to getting distracted on the way either by a butterflies or something moving in the bushes. Troy said ''You know Horus, I was very happy when the elders gave me this job in being your teacher, and I think you are a great student'' Horus replied ''I think you the best mentor one can ever ask Troy''. Troy replied '''am glad my friend, just stay close to me, you would learn all the tricks there is in the whole world, and one of the greatest lessons my Zen master taught me was to speak only when what you will say will be greater than your silence.'' They eventually reached the Mountainous area that was Horus favorite part of the scene as he enjoyed hiking and mountain climbing. All of a sudden the heard a noise as if it was a combat between animals close by, they went to look and found out that it was the bears who happened to be stuck by the mountain bed due to an avalanche and calling for help. They both ran fast towards the direction where the sound was coming from, flew over the trees and reached the bears, tried to use their powers to split apart the stones which held the bears stuck, and drew out the bears to a safer place. One of the bear shouted ''Wow, that was a close one'' Troy asked ''Are you guys alright'' and they said they just had little minor injuries. Troy said ''I suggest we take you to a healer who stay close by and look at your wounds'' Horus asked ''What were you guys doing here anyways'' and one of the bears replied ''Looking for honey, what else''. They all laughed at the absurdity of looking for honey by the mountains, and head their way to the healer who stayed closed by, by the name of Taiwa. Taiwa was an old man, who lived in the bushes, and many in the village consulted him for healing remedies. Taiwa saw them coming from a distance, as he sat under a tree shade with his beer jug. They all arrived by him and he said ''What brings you here today Gentleman or have you come to make trouble''? Troy assured him saying ''Fear not wise one, we come to seek for your healing for the bears'' and Taiwa sad ''What trouble have these gotten themselves into now"? they all laughed and the bears explained the story, in which Taiwa assisted them and they were healed immediately, and thanking him for his great service. On their way back, as they passed through the woods, chatting and laughing, something strange approached and interrupted them, it was flying vultures, which made noise above them, and a dark shadow which descended and turned the whole forest dark. Troy tried to bring everyone together, and said ''We are under attack'' the bears said ''It is so strange, which force can this be here, this is not a dark forest''. Troy said ''Show yourself, what do you want''. Then a whirlwind came with flashed of fire and a figure of a man, who was half man and animal appeared. Troy said ''Oh my goodness, its Seth''. Horus asked ''The dark Lord who wants to kill me''? Troy said ''Yes, we must be ready for a combat''. The vultures turned into horrible beast together with Seth. Troy exclaimed ''What do yo want Dark one''. Seth responded ''Troy, how you have grown, have they made you guardian over this boy? you know you are no match for me'' Troy took out his sword, which was burning with fire as he took it out and said ''We will see about that, as I am ready to defend this child and everything that is on this planet from your likes''. Seth laughed and said ''We will see about that''. The bears said ''Troy you take care of the big guy, will take care of these guys'' pointing to the vultures who now turned into gobbling, and the fight went on, while Troy and Seth wrestled with their powers, making lightnings as they fought. Horus was assisting the bears who were now all forging into a combat, seeing to it that all eyes were on Horus at whole time, as it was he that they protected. There was dust, vapor and energy dispersing everywhere as the combat went on, the bears were now defeating the gobblings, and Seth realized that he was standing alone now, and getting Troy's attacks, he stood up in the mid air and said ''This is not over Troy, that boy is mine, and his seat of power belongs to me'' Troy responded ''Over my dead body Seth'' then Seth disappeared. They were all now laying on the grass, exhausted, licking their wounds, and Troy assured if everyone was okay. Luckily Taiwa had seen the combat from a distance, and brought all his medicines, when they fight was over, he appeared from the bushes crying ''Gentleman, I realized you still need my assistance''. Troy responded ''Taiwa good friend, good to see you again''. Taiwa treated all of them, and they made their directions back home, tired and Horus shocked, he has heard about Seth before, as he was a dark god, who had been in rival with the god of the sky, and wanted the throne of power that belonged to Horus for himself, and that this wrestle between him will be the final frontier for his destiny. The bears went their way to their homes, and Horus and Troy went to theirs, as Troy had to meet with the elders and give a report of what had just happened. Horus went to take a nap, Ma and Lilitha also learnt what took place and felt sad for their child to experience such trauma, as they felt he was still too young to face such a trauma, but the elders felt it was necessary as this was his life, and was a great preparation for what is to come.

Troy returned from the elders meeting and on his way home, he decided to pass by Horus house, and was met with Lilitha who was sewing by the porch of the hut where Horus and his mom stayed. Lilitha saw him first and said ''Hello Troy'' and Troy responded ''My lady'', Lilitha was flattered and made a giggle laughter as she responded ''Its not all the time am called that'' Troy responded ''But you are, am glad am one from the few, the rest cant just see, better forgive them, for beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder''. They both laughed, and it was clear that Troy had hearts for Lilitha, as they were closely peers and Troy himself not married. Troy said ''How is Horus'' and lilitha responded '' his been asleep since you brought him, I think he was quite shaken, you had two events in one day, and the last was major''. Troy nodded and looked down, as he said ''He always saw the idea of Seth as a fairytale, it was a lot coming into his reality''. Lilitha also nodded and took a sigh, Troy looked up and said ''That sigh sounds Zen, for Zen disappears into the forests with a sigh to cut down woods, so says the great masters''. Lalitha smiled and said ''Its Zen alright''. Lalitha put aside her sewing, and said ''Can I fix you some tea, beer''? Troy looked up and said ''No thank you, I was already leaving, its been a hectic day, all I now need is a warm bath and head straight to bed, the sun is also already setting, will have wine when I get home and unwind while watching sunset non my home view''. Lalitha smiled charmed, and said ''Spoke like a wealthy man''. They both laughed, and Lalitha asked ''Can I ask a personal question''? Troy said ''Sure go ahead'' Lalitha looked shyly as she tried not to sound offensive, and said ''Why is a handsome guy like you, with such influence not married yet''? Troy looked aside and smiled, and responded ''perhaps I have never met the right one yet or the right one is not yet aware that they met me'', they both smiled, and looked down shyly as they both could feel where all this conversation was leading too. Troy looked up and said ''Well in that note, I think I might be on my way if there is anything else, and we can see each other tomorrow''. He got up, said his goodbye and left. The next morning, Troy went to school into Atlantis, and was given a lift to the Ocean where Atlantis was by his Dolphin Sophie, as they were travelling, splashing in the waters, Horus was giving details of his day yesterday, offloading his feelings to Sophie, who responded and said ''Am so sad for you that you went through all that, can you imagine if Troy was not there and it was just you and the bears'' Horus replied ''My goodness, I don't even what to think about it, not that am saying the bears were not strong, ,because they really helped by being present, we could only sort out the gobbling's, we could have not been able to handle them and Seth at the same time, I am no match for Seth'' Sophie tried calming him down saying ''Its alright, you still young and growing, you will be of age and strong like he, is just a matter of time, and yesterday was just a preparation towards that''. They got into Atlantis, and Sophie dropped him off and left, promising to be back to fetch him later on after school back home. Horus went with other kids and was met his school mates Nardia, Persues and Hercules. Nardia said ''Thank the gods you are alright'' Horus responded ''Oh my word, you guys heard''? Persues replied ''Dude, news fly like bugs''. Nardia was busy hugging Horus, as she also had crush on him. Hercules said ''Dude, how did you cope with Seth, only I could have been able to handle him''. Nardia replied ''Oh please, you like to think you are a superhero, none of you all are a match for Seth at this age''. They all started to argue about who was more stronger to have handled Seth, and that it was good thing Troy was there, and then school started and they all had to get into class. After school Sophie came to fetch Horus back home, and left his friends behind, arrived home, and found Troy waiting there for him as usual. He greeted them, and Ma was also present and made sure he had food to eat before he went with Troy on that day's lessons and expeditions. When Troy was done, he left with Troy, on their way, Troy asked ''Would you like us to check the bears how they doing''? Horus replied ''What are we doing today anyways''? Troy responded '' We going to see the Zen Master'' Horus replied ''Oh my, is that today, am I ready for that now''? Troy replied ''Yes you are, it was decided by the elders council yesterday, you need to receive some few wisdom's and gifts, you showed courage yesterday''. This was an important day for Horus, because nobody just saw the Zen Master, unless you were favored. He was holding himself, wondering what to say when he met the master and if he was at his best look and behavior. On their way, they headed by the bears and found them all sitting around their houses by the trees, still chatting about yesterday also, and very happy to see Troy and Horus approaching from a distance. Troy said ''Good friends, how are you all today, we thought we should come and check you up'', the bears responded ''we fine, thank you for popping by, we were also still talking about yesterday, can we fix you something to drink, bread and honey, where are you heading too''? Troy responded ''We heading to the Zen master to introduce this guy'' they were all making noises and admirations that Horus was going on such an important trip, while preparing wine, bread and honey for them.
