With little difficulty, the man in grey was transported and contained, locked in a highly securised room, which would still need regular repairs and upgrades to keep him from breaking out.

As far as the unknown group was concerned, it was a complete success, at least it seemed so at first, the consequences of the entity's action were much more widespread than expected, it was quickly brought up that the events at Oliver and other areas had all been due to a 'paranormal creature'.

As much as they could try to cover up for it, it seemed like this explanation had become inexpicably the most popular, especially since the man in grey was nowhere to be found or perhaps because this idea was more alluring as it alluded to the existence of more phenomena of the same nature.

The people in charge of understanding and keeping the man in grey, as it had now become known as, didn't care much for this however.

At first, he simply kept on trying to go back to chasing after his target, leaving little room for them to try and understand more about it, all they knew was that he was capable of exerting an inhuman amount of strength, which called suspicions on some of its known behaviors.

It had never killed anyone other than who it was targeting directly, despite having the strength to do so easily, it could definitely strike someone hard enough to render them to the state of a liquid in an instant.

One of the things they knew for certain was its way of killing its target, whatever may the circumstances may be, it would always sexually assault the victim whilst generally breaking some of their bones and mutilating them in other ways.

Which made the entity quite vulnerable to attacks as it needed to put its focus on its victim first, they couldn't tell what was the exact reason it did so, the entity didn't talk and it didn't appear as though it gained anything for it either.

Its known abilities weren't observed at all either, as it must have not seen it fit to use them in its current situation, it was confirmed to have high problem solving skills and a certain awareness of its surroundings after all, it wasn't confined to mindlessly going straight for its target as it had demonstrated in the hospital.

The man in grey wouldn't escape from the unknown organisation's grasp for at least another hundreds of years, after nearly a century in confinement, with all of its targets having succumbed to old age, the entity stopped trying to escape and instead stood perfectly still.

Allowing the searchers to investigate it more thoroughly, their attempts at truly killing it had proven naught, it might seem like it had been completely eradicated but sometime the second no one was looking or even after days, it would appear again as if nothing had happened, each of those situations occurring without much explanations either, it had done so in all each order and from the exact same method.

It could be seen standing without a head after a while or lay inert for hours, its vitals also weren't consistent, its hearbeat could be zero or incredibly fast at all moments.

The lack of targets, allowed the searchers to try and send convicts and such to observe its behavior when in chase, allowing them to see how it went about to solve problems in details.

But, as if it knew clearly what they wanted, it would only sparringly demonstrate its abilities and only use already known ones.

Leaving them with only what they already knew and the information gathered on when it could have shown up and the path it had taken before arriving in Oliver.

The first verifiable accounts of it went way back into the past, all the way to another continent before it seemingly suddenly stopped acting, for a reason that is not known for certain.

But a few months before coming to Oliver, it had appeared again, leaving mangled and violated bodies in its wake, it seemed like it had had its female form at the start before switching back and thus shifting its victims, as it only targeted those that could see it, so either men or women.

It hadn't racked a significant kill count as a series of fortunate event made that it had to follow a single victim across the country not long after arriving into a populated area.

It was to note that it seemingly made a list of target based on the people it had seen, going for the last person it had encountered and going down the list if now one else was added, this only included humans, no animals could see it at all.

This was all that was figured out in all of those years before it broke free.

As it turns out, even without targets, it hadn't given up on getting out, it had simply become much less dire.
