Ch-19 < revenge and travel >

Kevin stood with his arms crossed, gazing at the protective shield, his mind occupied with how Bronya's evolution had temporarily trapped them within this pocket of space-time.

His thoughts were interrupted as Jyahnar, Kiana, Bianca, and Elysia approached him. Each of them had a curious look, particularly Kiana, who was still wrapping her mind around their new situation.

Kevin turned to face them and said, "I need to explain something. Because of Bronya's evolution, we're stuck here. The world's barriers have detected her transformation into a Manas being, and it's not letting us out. We'll have to wait until there's some space-time vibration strong enough to form a void gate. Once that happens, we'll be able to enter the Tensura world."

Kiana blinked, her mind still grappling with the concept of "Manas." She scratched her head and asked, "So… we're trapped here because Bronya's changing into some kind of super-being?"

"Correct," Kevin nodded. "The world recognizes her evolution as a potential threat. It's not going to let us through until things stabilize."

Elysia leaned against a tree, her arms crossed. "So, we just need to wait it out? I can handle that. But what about the other stuff? I feel like there's something bigger on your mind, Kevin."

Kevin nodded. "Yes, but it won't be too long. In the meantime, if there's something you want to do… something that's unfinished, now's your chance."

Jyahnar, standing beside Kiana and Bianca, stepped forward, her eyes shining with a vengeful light. "Then I think it's time we settle things with Otto. He's caused enough suffering for Kiana and Bianca."

Kiana clenched her fists, her expression hardening. "I agree. He's done too much. It's time he faces the consequences."

Bianca's eyes flared with a mixture of anger and purpose. "He has to pay for what he's done to our family. To Dad."

Kevin observed the fire in their eyes but remained calm. "Cana," he said, addressing Jyahnar by the affectionate nickname, "Otto might not submit, even if you kill him or torture him. He's too obsessed, too far gone in his delusion. You won't break him that way."

Kiana and Bianca exchanged puzzled looks, but Jyahnar raised an eyebrow. "Then what do you suggest, Kevin?" she asked.

Kevin sighed, and after a moment of thought, he began to explain, "It's not about killing him, not directly. It's about taking away what he values most. You see, Otto's entire existence revolves around one thing: Kallen. His obsession with bringing her back has driven every action he's taken. If you want to hurt him, you don't go for his life—you go for what he's dedicated that life to."

Both Kiana and Bianca looked intrigued but confused. Kiana spoke first. "What do you mean by that?"

Kevin smiled grimly. "I'll give you three things that will break him more than any physical pain could.

Kevin leaned in slightly, a plan forming in his mind. "First, tell him that Kiana—the Herrscher of the Void—is being taken to another world. Make it clear he'll never see her again. That alone will shake him to his core, knowing he's losing his key to the resurrection he's been chasing for centuries."

Bianca frowned. "And that's supposed to affect him?"

Kevin nodded. "Trust me, it will. To Otto, Kiana is the key to his plans. If you take that away, he'll lose a large part of his purpose. But that's only the start."

He continued, "Second, destroy his most prized Kallen collection—figurines, paintings, fantasies, all of it. Otto has kept an entire shrine to her memory. Breaking those things in front of him will tear him apart emotionally."

Kiana blinked, looking shocked. "Wait, seriously? Figurines and paintings? How does that—"

Kevin held up a hand, cutting her off. "It's not about what they are; it's about what they represent to Otto. He's spent centuries collecting these things as tributes to Kallen's memory. It's a direct attack on the foundation of his obsession."

Jyahnar's smile widened, her eyes glinting with amusement. "I like it already. What's the third thing?"

Kevin's gaze turned serious. "The third is the most important—his Divine Key of Infinity. The Divine Key represents Otto's ultimate hope to bring Kallen back. If you either take it from him or destroy it in front of him, that will give him the kind of despair he can't recover from."

Bianca's eyes widened slightly. "So we just… destroy everything he cares about?"

Kevin nodded. "Exactly. Otto's madness is based on his obsession. If you strip away everything he's obsessed over, the man that's left behind will be nothing. That will be your victory."

Kiana and Bianca exchanged glances, processing Kevin's plan. Finally, Kiana grinned. "I like it. Let's go crush him in a way he won't recover from."

Jyahnar clapped her hands together with a sly smile. "Leave it to me, Kevin. No one harms Kiana or Bianca and gets away with it."

Kevin smiled back, knowing that Jyahnar would carry out the plan with her usual efficiency. "Good. Just be careful. Don't underestimate Otto, even in his weakest moments."

With that, the trio—Kiana, Bianca, and Jyahnar—vanished from the pocket space, heading back to the Honkai world to carry out their revenge on Otto.

---

The next day, Kevin sat by a small stream within the space, awaiting the return of the girls. He wasn't worried—they were more than capable of handling themselves, and with Jyahnar's cunning, he knew Otto wouldn't see the blow coming.

As the familiar energy signatures of the three women reappeared, Kevin looked up to see Kiana, Bianca, and Jyahnar returning, looking incredibly satisfied.

"Well?" Kevin asked, raising an eyebrow.

Kiana smirked. "It worked flawlessly."

Bianca nodded, her expression one of pure satisfaction. "Otto didn't know what hit him. First we beat him to pulp. Cana torture him but it didn't work like you said .

Then we told him about taking Kiana to another world, and you should have seen his face. The moment we smashed his Kallen figurines, Kallen fantasy and burned her paintings and figurines, his entire composure cracked."

Jyahnar chuckled darkly. "But the best part? We took the Divine Key of Infinity and destroyed it right in front of him. His eyes… the despair was real. He begged, Kevin. He actually begged us to stop."

Kevin gave a small chuckle, satisfied with the result. "Good."

Kiana grinned and sat beside Kevin. "I gotta admit, that was more fun than I expected. I didn't think watching Otto break like that would be so satisfying."

My poor Kiana. She has changed. She is not pure like cannon. Kevin thought while looking at her face.

Kevin then replied, "breaking a person isn't about fighting them directly. It's about taking away what they hold dear."

After the ordeal, Kevin used his time authority to slow down the flow of time inside their pocket dimension, allowing the days to pass more quickly outside. He knew that soon enough, they'd experience space-time vibrations that would allow them to open a void gate.

As the week neared its end, the system finally alerted Kevin that the time had come. "Host, space-time vibrations have been detected. A void gate is forming."

"Time to go," Kevin announced. "The space-time vibrations are strong enough. I'll activate the travel, and we can reach another world."

Kiana and Bianca nodded eagerly, while Jyahnar and Elysia looked at Kevin with mild curiosity. "Let's see what this new world has to offer," Elysia mused, giving Kevin a teasing smile.

Kevin activated the system, a portal forming in the space before them. "Everyone, stay close. We'll enter the Tensura world together."
