Shadow

Kuro thought to himself as he looked around the house and took a spoon 'should he do it? Or shouldn't he do it? After all, he may die.'

Kuro decided to satisfy his greed—he searched around this 'refrigerator' which a cooling magic was used on. Hell, there's even an time deceleration magic that's manually put on the ingredient at its lowest temperature.

This was the most amazing refrigerator Kuro have seen in the world.

There it is… Kuro's eyes went to the milk in the carton , although it was past the expiration date, die to time deceleration magic, Kuro knew that it must be okay. Just in case, he tested it.

'It's okay.'

Disclaimer: It's Kuro's first time drinking a milk.

I can finally start my brew-manship. Even though he was stressed and his percentage even went up to 51.0%, that doesn't mean that he won't be bored.

So as to satisfies his boredom, and his thirstiness as he never drank water till now, he tried to brew a milk. At first, he though of making a milk coffee, but stopped at the thought of it can potentially lower his height growth.

Luckily, Kuro found a cocoa here.

To make the milk-cocoa he wanted, he took a spoonful cocoa, and drop it inside the glasses he found. Afterward, he also put two spoons of sugar. Which then, with the boiled egg, he filled quarter of glass.

Mixing it well with the spoon he have, he tested it. Although the taste were too strong, it was completely fine as the taste will lessen after Kuro filled the whole glass with milk, as well, the ice will absorbs some of it.

With a perfectly calculated amount, even though it's Kuro first time making it, he was pretty sure that it would turn out delicious.

While filling the glass with milk, he continued to mix, making a small vortex within the glass. Now that the color has lighten a bit, Kuro took out an ice, and put exactly three of them and complete.

'Not bad!' Kuro seriously hesitated whether to make [KuroBucks] in future as a business.

Kuro slowly took a sip as he looked over the two similarly-looking girls with only age differences, lied in the floor, unconscious. The other one was a children, her stomach expanding and minimising from time to time, while the adult just completely unmoved, as if she was dead.

"I miss her…" Said Kuro while thinking about this longest 1 day in his entire life.

"Who is, her?" From sideway, a voice sounded out as it questioned Kuro.

His attention diverted from the voice, due to unpredicted situation, it surprised Kuro a bit. But in the end, he bitterly smiled. "My hope."

The girl holds her head out of frustration. "Ahhh, I know that! I am asking, the, name, dimwit!"

"Can't you let me continue my acting to look cool? Sigh… she is called Nakiri Ayame." Kuro laughed in rather exaggerated manner.

"Bleh! You'll never look cool in your entire life!" The girl, rather blushing/embarrassed, mocked Kuro.

Whilst Kuro asked her to her 'do you think so, too?' in quiet voice she wouldn't hear, the girl opened her mouth once again.

This time, slowly, her voice was shaky. "Murasaki Shion."

Kuro who didn't expect her to tell her anymore, was surprised, but nodded. "Just Kuro. Nice to meet you. Would you be my friend?"

Shion twitched for a second, but she tried to hide it as she smiles. "I, this great Shion-sama have no choice! I'll be your friend!"

As the two tried to shook their hand as to mark their friendship, the adult suddenly stood up, and shouted. "DOWN!"

Kuro was rather quick to respond for this, as he dragged Shion's hand down—and his body.

The adult witch, who shouted, without confirming for them, swept her hand in the air, as if to draw something.

Which up to the air, a mana circle was formed, and another one—next to next.

When the witch's hand stopped, 10 layers of mana circle was formed, each one with different attributes.

Soon afterward, from high above the sky, an meteorite was falling, it's surface was slowly being reduced due to the heats and acceleration it was in. The reduced meteorite was slowly turning into stardust, making a beautiful glimmers, as if covering the sky with star.

The meteor, although small—was quite powerful. Once it collide with the 10 layers of mana circles, the upper part of mana circle was pushed down by the meteorite, like a soccer ball and net.

Eventually, it was teared down.

The 9th level…

The 8th level..

7th…

6th…

All 5 mana circle was broken, and all left was 5, the meteor almost touching the house, but it barely didn't burn the surfaces of the Sin's Hut's roof.

Finally, the meteor was eventually stopped, and like a heavy object dropped on the slime, it bounced off. Purely due to its' heaviness, the meteorite fell as soon as it was bounced off.

Even though the meteor didn't even touch the Sin's Hut's roof, the force behind it was clearly taught to Kuro, as during its collision, a huge earthquake were happening inside the house.

Rather than huge, it was 'strong' so strong that it scared Shion. "Don't worry… it'll be fine."

Kuro patted her head, as he covered her back with his body.

The witch who was full-focused on the meteor, sighed in relief as the danger has disappeared.

Then, she took a look at Kuro.

"What are you going to do about it, I got blacklisted at Heaven ໒( •́ ∧ •̀ )७ there were some flowers I waned to collect at Heaven…" The witch complained to Kuro and swung her hand to the corpse as transparent object flew over to the cleaned up body.

The heartbeat carried the blood, the blood awakened up the cells, and the cells worked up the video. With her brain working up normally now, the once dead woman opened her eyes, before going unconscious once again as Kuro made her.

"Are you really fine with that?" The witch was confused at Kuro's action.

In contrast, Kuro shrugged her question. "It's better for her to not know that she died once. Moreover, it's more comfortable to stay unaware that someone once deliberately killed you, right?"

The witch just stayed silence. She just felt that something wasn't right.

Even though he is an outsider. Is it really right for a children who's just barely 5, to think this complicatedly, and painfully? As the Sin of Pride, her thoughts toward life has lessened, but since Shion was born, she unconsciously began to think of a life more importantly.

So, as an opinion from a single mother, she just purely thought: that is not a face children should be making.

When she noticed it, her body has already moved up, to embrace Kuro's small and cold body.

Kuro just stood there, without doing anything, while being entrapped within this warm feeling.
