A young lady was running down the hallway, sweating and gasping for air as she tried to escape their mansion. She is holding her stunning green gown, which is adorned with various types of embedded and expensive gems. She had already tried to seek help from the mansion's maids and her loyal knight, but no one was willing to help her.

The crown prince had ordered the royal knights to take her, dead or alive, as she attempted to murder the crown prince's fiancé, Vivian Hesthburg. She is the daughter of Duke Hesthburg, a well-known young lady in the Chloristia Empire with a lovely face and a sweet smile that can easily capture people's hearts and attention.

The lady just keeps running to save herself until her brother suddenly blocks her path and looks at her with disappointment, causing the lady's heart to thorn into pieces as she senses her brother's disappointment in her. She clenched her teeth and yelled at her brother, attempting to push him away. "Get out of here! I need to get away!"

"Face the consequences, Historia. Don't worry, we'll make sure the crown prince doesn't kill you because you're Duke Crane's daughter. Father will speak with the emperor and investigate what happened," her brother said. Historia's tears began to fall as she looked at her brother, causing his eyes to widen. It's the first time he's seen Historia cry, and seeing her sister's tears fall from her eyes hurts her brother.

The royal knights are now behind her back, and before they can take Historia, her brother quickly hugs her. She pushes him away from her and looks at her brother with resentment, breaking her brother's heart as he watches her sister look at him without love. As if he was looking at Historia in a completely different person, Historia doesn't look at him like that before.

Historia is taken from the Crane mansion by royal knights and delivered to Trim Zandravel, the crown prince. Trim sat in a chair, disgusted and enraged, staring at her.

Trim stood up and approached Historia, slapping her on the cheek so hard that she was taken aback. Trim gritted his teeth, looking at Historia, and exclaimed, "How dare you attempt to murder the future empress of the Chloristia Empire, lowly wench!" Historia just chuckled after hearing those words from Trim which made him irritated.

"Let her die in jail, don't give her anything food or drinks! Don't let anyone visit her, understand!?" Trim ordered the royal knights in a stern voice as he walked away from Historia. The royal knights bowed their heads before leaving along with Historia.

After a few days, Historia's skin had thinned to the point where her bones were visible. She can't even move her hands, but she forces herself to raise her head and gaze at the ceiling, tears streaming down her cheeks. She cried silently before looking up and speaking.

"Life is unfair." Historia slowly closed her eyes and collapsed on the ground. She was having a hard time breathing until she decided to give up on living and died alone in the dark jail.

"Alkina! Watch your step!" an old woman shouted pointing at Alkina's steps when she saw the path she was going to take was wet. Alkina slid all of a sudden, causing the juice she needed to deliver at the table next to her to be thrown to her head, causing everyone in the restaurant to laugh at her.

Alkina had no choice but to clean up the mess she had made. The old woman grabs her arms, startling her, and both of them come to a halt in the kitchen. Alkina receives a hard slap from the old woman, widening her eyes. The restaurant's owner was an elderly lady, and Alkina wanted to slap her as well, but she couldn't because she was afraid of being fired.

"Pack all of your things and go home, you're fired!" the old woman shouted and left Alkina stared at the ground. Her coworkers were all disappointed and disgusted with her, and they were all blaming Alkina for their boss's rage. They were all aware that if their owner became enraged, everyone would be drawn to what she had done.

Alkina simply wiped her face with her hands and walked to her room to fix her things before beginning to pack everything into her locker. She saw her father's photo with her, in which he was dressed in his police uniform. Before Alkina could graduate, her father died because of the mission he needed to complete a few years ago.

She sewed the photo to her bag and began to wear it. She exited through the back door without even saying goodbye to the old woman because she already knew what the old woman would do to her.

As she walked down the street, she looked around and noticed people laughing with their friends and families. Alkina envied their way of life as her life didn't have good memories because her mother died while giving birth to her. Her grandfather, a soldier, died of cancer when she was ten years old. Her uncle and grandmother died in an accident after seven years, and her father died in a mission before she graduated.

She didn't even make a friend at daycare because the kids didn't want to be friends with her. They don't want to be friends with a child who is ugly and dark. They bully her daily and make fun of her, which has caused her to distance herself from people since then.

Alkina was now walking on the dark road, kicking the stone in front of her; she didn't care about those around her because she wanted a peaceful night walk with herself to think. She had no idea that someone was roaming around stealing people's belongings until a stranger ran up to her and stabbed her neck, causing Alkina's eyes to widen and her neck to bleed.

"W-what happened?" Alkina stammered holding her neck and slowly losing consciousness. Her body fell to the ground, and she looked at the man, who was grinning as he took her money from her bag. Alkina's tears stream down her cheeks. 'So, this is how my life will end?' she thought to herself as she struggled to open her mouth and speak. Her eyes began to close until she ran out of air.

After their death, the two ladies were now floating deep beneath the surface of the water, their eyes closed. Both of them desired to die forever and to live if given another chance. They wished to live a happy life, but only one of them would be able to do so.

The God of the other world selects one girl whom he believes is capable of carrying out his plan. He had transmigrated her soul and was now resting in the body of the villain.

Alkina shakes her finger, sensing the presence of something on her bed. She touches it and discovers it's a pillow, which confuses her. She has now opened her eyes because she senses something is wrong. She jumped out of bed and looked around, discovering a large and lovely room.

She also holds her neck and does not feel any scars, wounds, or blood. She shakes her hand and stares intently at her snow-white, smooth hands. She wants to scream but refuses; she also touches her hair as it grows longer and wavy.

"W-what happened to me?" Alkina questioned herself, her body still trembling. She was perplexed and terrified by what had happened to her. When a stranger stabbed her neck with a knife, she knew she had already died.

She looked around and discovered a mirror beside her bed. She jumped to her feet and dashed to the mirror to check herself out, where she saw a beautiful woman with golden eyes and brown wavy hair. Her eyes widened as she slowly touched her face, which was very smooth.

She then lifted her hands and looked down at her legs. Her entire body changes! Alkina stared at herself in the mirror and began to scream when she realized that her soul had been transmigrated to another body after she died, just like the novels she had read in her previous life!

Alkina walks back and forth, thinking about how to get back when three maids appear at the door, following a young man on their back, looking at Alkina with a bright smile that confuses her. He is dressed in a blue knight's uniform and carries a blue sword around his waist.

The young man dashed towards her and quickly embraced Alkina, which surprised her even more. She wanted to push him away, but she was worried that the young man might have a close relationship with the body she had been transmigrated to.

The young man releases Alkina from his embrace and speaks. "Historia, you're finally awake," the young man said, his eyes welling up with tears. The young man was Redam Crane, Historia's brother, who had been waiting for her to wake up.

"Historia?" Alkina speaks while looking Redam in the eyes.
