Loyal servant

Agatha completed her story and looked up to see Ava deep in her thoughts. She had been thinking about Dominic, when Agatha told her about his sudden change in behavior it irk her thinking what happened to him which changes him completely.

"Agatha.. have you seen your king changing into a wolf" she asked and was totally surprised when she saw her nodding. She thought no one inside the palace knew about it.

"Then... did you get scared?" she further asked amused by her casual reaction.

"My grandparent have been loyal to the royal and we had took the oath to not reveal their identities to anyone. We have been the only human family who knew about their existence"

Her words came like a blow," Does it mean even Felix father knew about this?" she thought after listening her words.

"So all of them working here are wolf's" she again asked.

Agatha nodded her head making her gasp in shock. All these years, she was living a lie knowing that the royal were just higher officials who were far to reach, but to her shock they were supernatural creatures who were ruling the kingdom.

"A-are the villagers aware of it?" she asked gulping the lump in her throat.

"No...no one is aware of their existence. They have been under the impression that the royals are just people like them without knowing their real self" Agatha was answering her every question.

"How is that possible? How can they never see any change in them?"

Ava was getting it hard to digest the new information she learned about them. How can they hide themselves all these years without giving any hint to the humans. Is that even possible....

"The people who come in contact with them or face them only see what they are shown hardly making them doubt about their true self"

Agatha frowned when she felt she had been to much open mouth and kept on talking scaring the queen with the piece of news she got...

Ava was deeply thinking about words she just heard, when her mind went to remember what her father said," They are not normal people what they seem to be?" his words kept ringing in her ears.

"Does it mean father is also aware about their existence" she thought...but how is it possible?

She didn't knew anything, the more she asked the more she was confused. How can her father know this? Was there something which she didn't know, was her father hiding something which she didn't had a single idea about..

Agatha was about to speak, when Dominic entered the room and hinting her to leave. Following the kings order she left the room silently without making any noise.

Dominic looked at his wife who was deep immersed in some thought. Making his way towards her he snapped his finger in front of her eyes breaking the train of thoughts.

"Huh"

"What is my wife thinking?" he sat next to her resting his elbow on the bed.

Ava was startled by his husky voice, she looked down only to see him leaning next to her. She blinked her eyes on him giving him a confused look.

Waving his hand, he stopped her action," Wife do you remember who I am?" he asked when he saw her act all dumb.

"Shut up" she jerked his hand making him smile at her sulky face.

"What are you thinking, you didn't even see me" he got and stood straight looking at her small frame. Ava was just a small figure who didn't even reached his shoulder.

"Nothing.." she dropped her shoulder in boredom and looked around," Where's Agatha?" she asked when she didn't see her in the room.

"I send her out"

Dominic face became gloomy, he thought his wife was more interested in the maid rather than him. Why was she supposed to ask about others when he was in front of her.

Ava watched how his appearance changed from happy to sour, and she loved to see him getting annoyed. And idea popped in her mind and she decided to tease him.

"What kind of king you are? Don't you have work?" she asked and got up making him flinch back.

"Or you only waste your time in finding your food in the forest?" she grinned as his face burn in anger.

No one dared to speak with him like this manner and here this girl was literally teasing him? Don't she fear I would get angry on her like the other day...

Dominic pulled her by her waist engulfing her in his arms, if she wanted to play then yes he was in. He was not someone who would tolerate anyone's words against him.

Startled by his action, Ava found herself completely hidden in his arms. From the time she had come there was not a single chance he left to embrace her.. can't he stand still for a while without pulling her.

"Why don't you want your husband next to you?" his lips curled into a light smile when she tried to free herself, but as usual it was of no use.

Flaring at him in irritation, she raised her brows on him making him chuckled at her cute face. She was definitely a small kitten ready to attack by her small claws.

"I didn't mean to say that.. "

"Then what do you mean?" he leaned forward as his face came close to hers inhaling her scent. This has been his new addiction since the time he met her. He felt her body smell so calming that it soothe his nerves making him relax.. like nothing else matters.

Drawn into their closeness Ava forgot why did she tease him. She would always forget to think straight whenever she was close to him. He had been like a magnet always pulling her towards him. She had never been close to any male, but his embrace felt safe for her.

They way he held her with protectiveness, would always make her knees go weak. He was again using his seduction card on her making her completely melt in his hold.

"I....don't k-know... what I meant" completely spell by his eyes she forgot her statement.

"Little kitten.. you know your innocent cute face is seducing me right now.." his breathe fan her face making her close her eye as she listen his hoarse voice.

Ava felt her heart skip a beat as if his words were like a plea and not a command. Opening her eyes, she looked at him. His green eyes showed an unknown emotion which she couldn't guess. Her eyes were stuck on his charming face slowly memorizing every detail of it.

God had definitely took his time creating him before sending him down on earth. His thick brows would always stay high giving him a devilish look as if he would always have anger on his face. He had this long eyelashes which would even shy a girl. His long pointed nose would always make him look like a prideful person and last but not the least his thin lips would always look tempting to her human eyes.

Dominic smirked looking at her completely lost in his beauty, she didn't even blink or lost her focus from his face as if she was engraving it in her mind.

"Ahem..." he cleared his throat breaking her chain of thought pulling her out from her dream.

"Little kitten if you have finish gazing at me.. I would like to take you somewhere" his hold on her waist loosen as she pulled herself out from his hold getting all shy on her action.

"Ava what are you doing?" she cursed herself inwardly hiding her face to cover her shyness. She was embarrassed on her action and was now trying to hide it from him.

Looking down, she played with her dress avoiding his intense gaze on her. She was feeling the heat building up in her body. Even if she hide herself somewhere, but how was she going to hide her blush.

"W-who is looking a-at you" she turn to cover her shamed face from him.

Dominic by now understood her little bit that she was not going to accept anything she initiate towards him. Shaking his head he held her wrist and drag her out from the room.

"Where are we going?" she said walking along with him.

"Somewhere you would like"

Following along with him without uttering a word, she kept looking at their intertwined fingers. Ava felt the warm of his hands which held her closed to him. Walking through the stairs they went out from the palace and reached the place where he wanted her to see.

Ava was surprised to see where he had brought her...

"Select which one you have to ride" Dominic asked her to select herself a horse.

She turn to the side looking at his smile, did he read her mind? she thought and put on a fake smile.

"I can't ride a horse" she said him making him chuckle at her words.

"Who told you will ride alone" he leaned close to her ear and whispered," I will be next to you"

Feeling ticklish by his breathe, she moved back and gulped the lump formed in her throat. This man was not good for her health, his closeness was disturbing her heart making it beat every now and then.

"NO! I should maintain my distance or else my heart would bump out from my chest" she thought placing her hand on her chest trying to count the beats.
