Chapter 33

Amelia had visited Kerioth in her chambers.

It was just as beautiful as Amelia's,with rose petals all over the place and with the neatness one could say she was just like Amelia.

She made the maids work double time making them reclean and clean the chambers until they were drenched in sweat and kneeling begging to be released.

Kerioth was King Ramos's second wife. He had married her a year after his marriage to Amelia to insult and degrade Amelia in the eyes of the people.

Too bad he failed because birds of same feather flock together as they say.

Amelia had just punished as many people that tried to show defiance to her and killed many as well then in two days she had became close friends with Ramos's second wife.

They would visit each other and seat to talk for hours non stop, maybe because they knew neither of them could go higher in status than they already were.

That none of them could give the King a child.

" Princess Kerioth the Queen has arrived and would like an audience with you" A guard yells once he sees Amelia approaching.

"Let her in,the princess has accepted" A maid shouts in reply.

In Gabesh only the crowned Queen answered Queen every other wife of the King were called princesses and his concubines... mistresses.

"It's nice to see you Amelia,you decided to grace me with your presence today" Kerioth says smiling.

They both move and give each other an elegant hug before pulling away.

"Please,have your seat" Kerioth says gesturing to the couch at the side of her room.

"My friend,I am here for an important issue" Amelia says.

"What is it? didn't your spies give you accurate reports this time?" Kerioth asks..

"No it's not that,it's the King I have come to talk about" Amelia says.

Kerioth adjusts in her chair giving Amelia full attention.

"And what about the King?" She asks.

"Was he in any means in your chambers yesterday evening?" She asks.

"No,you and I know that the King seldomly visits my chambers,he had other mistresses and am less worried " Kerioth says

it was true, Kerioth was as cunny and ruthless as Amelia but she didn't like nor want the King's attention like Amelia did.

Before she had married the King she was inlove with a farmer from the village. Her parents had forced her to marry the King for money and fame.

She in turn turned into a hostile evil somebody,a way to reduce her anger and frustration. Thus the King disgusted her. That didn't mean she didn't love her position here in the palace.

"He wasn't in any of his mistresses room either" Amelia says.

Kerioth laughs loudly,a little unladylike but she didn't give a damn.

"What? you went to all his mistresses room to find out if he was in any? wow!" Kerioth says still laughing.

"This isn't funny Kerioth, something's up" Amelia says.

"So what are you now my Friend? a seer? how could you know something's up? Besides he could have decided to visit the royal brothel and add to his mistresses or whores why does that worry you? I mean it isn't new" Kerioth Scoffs.

"No he wasn't in the Royal Brothel" Amelia says.

This makes Kerioth sit up shaking her head in amusement.

"Don't tell me you went there too?" Silence follows Kerioth's words. "Did you get sleep last night Amelia?" She asks.

Silence.

"Wow,You are going to go insane if you follow that mad King" Kerioth mutters under her breath.

"I get,I get,if something happens don't say I didn't tell you" Amelia says embarrassed.

"Yes Mrs soothsayer....You should actually join the socerers you'll be good at it" Kerioth smirks getting up.

"No my friend to be more hospitable,what can I get you to drink?"
