coffee incident

kaisha was still munching on her breakfast when she heard someone speaking through the intercom in her office.

"I'd like to have my coffee now".

the voice was husky and magnetic.. she immediately wiped her mouth and got out of the office.

she found a kitchenette on the same floor.

but the problem was how to make the coffee.

"ooof.. I can do it. it's just coffee right?"

"how hard could it be".

after her little session of confidence boosting, she proceeded in making the coffee.

10 minutes later..

'knock knock' hitting her thin hands on the hard door, the tray of coffee on her second hand struggled to maintain balance, making sweat roll down her face.

"come in " surprisingly the CEO didn't take time in answering her.

she strolled into the office nervously and dropped the tray on his desk.

"Good morning sir" she greeted him, but didn't get a response.

seeing that her work there was done, she turned and left his office.

inside her office, she was eating her remaining doughnuts, while going through the meetings he'll have to attend and the scheduled time.

a voice rang from the intercom again.

"come to my office now". kaisha picked up the file that his schedule was printed on.

on getting to his office, she knocked and entered without waiting for his response.

looking down at the busy city from the transparent wall, Javier held the cup of coffee kaisha made for him.

"Ms Wilhelm, can you please tell me why you would add salt in a cup of coffee". Javier asked in a dangerously calm voice.

"was I supposed to not add salt?" kaisha muttered timidly, not knowing it reached Javier's hearing.

"you're asking me?.. is this a joke Ms Wilhelm"

"no no.. it's not a joke" kaisha replied immediately, waving her hands in disapproval.

"actually, I thought it was sugar, I'm new here, so I don't how things are organized in the kitchenette" she ended her statement with a fake giggle.

I really should stop saying 'how hard could it be' it always ends up harder than I imagined. kaisha's thought was muddled as she looked down, feeling embarrassed.

moving his long straight legs, Javier strolled slowly, still holding the cup.

'he can't be coming towards me right?'

'i only added two spoons of salt, it's not like I added poison... so why's he making a fuss'

she was still looking down, while saying dumb stuff in her mind.

then a pair of shiny black oxford shoes stopped right in front of her. kaisha raised her slender long neck to see the man in front of her.

he stood in front of her, looking down at her. A domineering, powerful and cold aura was oozing out of him, all at the same time.

as kaisha raised her head and saw the man, she shivered unconsciously as she met his dark eyes. out of reflex, she took two step back, standing close to him was intimidating, plus her neck was strained because of the height difference between them. he stood tall at 194cm, while she was a little less than 170cm.

"are dumb or do you just enjoy lying?" he questioned her coolly, because he just couldn't believe that she couldn't differentiate between sugar and salt.

"I'm not dumb and I'm not lying, forget about this. give me the cup I'll make the coffee again" she stretched her hands to collect the cup from him and mistakenly brushed her hands against his.

KRAK!!

the glass cup fell to the ground, splashing it's content and breaking into smaller pieces.

Javier stood in daze looking at nothing in particular, he felt a sensational shock as her soft finger brushed his hands, and apparently.. the cup fell to the ground because of the shock.

kaisha got down on her knees as the cup broke and started picking up the broken pieces with her bare hands.

"OUCHH" kaisha's pain filled cry broke Javier out of his reverie.

"you're so dumb, how can you pick of broken glass with your hands, get up" Javier held her hands and pulled her up..

he took her to one of the couches and sat her down. " wait here, I'll get the first aid box" he got up and walked hastily to a drawer and brought out the first aid box. he returned to were she was sitting in a few seconds.

all through the time he dressed her wounds, he was scolding her for being dumb and irrational. but he cleaned the wound gently as he saw her face, that looked like she was about to cry.

"thank you Mr Marshall" kaisha stood up and gave him a little bow.

"wait" Javier stopped her as she was about to open the door.

"you don't need to make my coffee by yourself again, make sure you place an order for a cup of coffee and bring it to my office, 5 minutes after my arrival" he obviously didn't want to have taste of her terrible coffee again.

******

hours went by fast and soon it was almost lunchtime.

"Mr Marshall, you'll be having a lunch meeting with one of our foreign clients in the next 20 minutes"

"venue?"

"daffodils"

"let's go now" Javier stood up from his chair and took his suit's jacket that was hung on a rack and put it on.

"excuse me sir, am I meant to follow you?"

"are you this dense?...if you're not following me, who will?" Javier sneered and passed her a cold glare, to which kaisha almost cowered in fear... but she still had an important question to ask, so she did not back out.

"ohh, but what about my lunchtime?"

"you'll have lunch with me.." that sentence made a blush creep up kaisha's fair cheek.

the sentence Javier uttered unknowingly made kaisha have sweet wild thought

'am I really going to have lunch with THE Javier Marshall?'

'is he finding ways to impress me?'

'omg, it's my first day at work and his already giving me this kind of attention'

'Queen kaisha still got the charms'

she squealed inwardly, a shy smile displayed on her lips as she tucked a lock of stray hairs behind her ears.

".. during the meeting" after Javier completed the second half of the statement, he walked out of the office in long strides... while the smile on kaisha's face turned ugly.
