After some minutes and the ringing persisted stronger than ever, if that could be, she switched the phone off. Hazel held the phone in her palm for minutes staring at it like it could telepathically tell Alpha Xavier that she was safe and was out here gallivanting with her ex-mate while he called her like she had gone missing. She continued staring at it as if to tell the phone to speak and deliver a bit of information to her without Alpha Xavier knowing. He would notice that she switched off the phone but what could she do? That was her only choice. She swallowed thickly, nodding and slipping the phone into her pocket, making her mind not to worry nor overthink that she somehow would find a way. Like most people, Hazel just wanted to have fun and be at ease at the moment while at the back of her mind also fabricating and weaving together a lie or excuse that she would offer to Alpha Xavier later. The goal was to go with the flow and not worry heavily about what lay ahead.
