His Eyes

All around the kingdom Vastei joyous voices rang. "A prince has been born! All hail the King!" Someone had shouted. Children laughed, adults made merry in the sunny afternoon light. Yet there was one that had disappointment written on him. A fourteen year old boy with platinum blonde hair and eyes covered by a black cloth. Dressed in a loose-fit buttoned shirt and brown cloth trousers the boy ran through the crowds, a large cat right behind him as he was heading towards the castle at the edge of the valley of which the village was built on.

Chapter 6

The two boy quickly turned towards the sound that made Sigurd's ears perk up. When Baga saw what was there he froze in fear. There, wrapped around a deer, was a Naga. Taller then all of them even when curled up it laid there, not noticing the trio. Nagas were known for their piercing eyes that could paralyze its prey, but it was hardly known that they were deaf.

"Oh god, I think im gonna be sick." Rina whispered, her voice trailing off at the end.

"Be quiet!" Baga covered her mouth with his palm.

"Don't worry yourself, it doesn't know we're here and we're gonna keep it that way." Raivis said.

"Hush! I hate snakes, just do whatever you need." Rina whispered.

As they stood there the snake moved causing Rina to jolt. That's when Baga saw it.

"It's already dead…" he whispered.

Sigurd looked over,"Then how is it moving?"

Baga slowly made his way over to it only to see a gash on the naga's side and it laying in a puddle of it's green blood.

"Well what's wrong with it Baga?" Rina questioned while cowering behind a large tree.

"It's definitely dead." he responded.

"Then why is it still moving." Raivis thought out loud.

Raivis walked over and pulled on the antler of the deer, getting it away from the Naga so they could get a better view. Baga gasped dryly.

There laid a squirming Naga child with auburn hair and a long red tail smeared with crimson blood. Quivering it spoke.

"Please, don't kill me. Please, please, please…" The high pitched voice pleaded

Baga, still in shock, could only say," Don't worry, we won't hurt you." with a small smile.

"What happened to you?" Raivis asked.

"Hunters, they hurt mama! I was too little to do anything!" She started to tear up.

"Hey, don't cry kid, do you have any other family that we could take you too?" He said kneeling in front of the child. She shook her head.

"No papa?" Baga questioned and raivis chuckled.

"Mama ate Papa. Baga's face turned pale white.

O-Oh, is that so? Well why don't you stay with us for a while? We're travelling all around, maybe we could find someone for you to stay with." Baga said, voice still shaking.

"But what about Mama?"The little girl asked.

"We leave her here, the hunters will most certainly come back to get her so if we take her they will probably think she's not um, gone, and will hunt after her again." Raivis stated.

"Well, what do you say?" Baga asked.

"I guess I'll stay with big brother then."

"I thought you didn't have any family? Where's your brother little girl." Raivis probed.

With that she pointed her little finger at Baga.

"Me!?! I'm sorry little one but I don't have any sisters."

"But we have the same colored hair." She said close to tears yet again.

" Don't cry! If you want me to be your big brother I guess I can be."

"Yay!" she squealed.

"By the way, what's your name?" Raivis asked.

"I'm Tutsia!" She said with a smile.
