Drastically Hot

Benedito and I somehow got coerced by Ma to stay in one of the guest bedrooms downstairs which had technically become our bedroom since we slept there whenever we visited. Benedito was just happy his legs did not dangle off unlike my bed the first few times he visited. 

There was a buzz in the air when we woke up. It seemed everyone had somehow known that the baby shower was going to happen today. Not that I minded because it had been a while since I had been surprised with a surprise party, the only down part was that I could not drink. 

I was sitting on the bed that morning dressed in my best jeans, I got a size a bit bigger so that they would not be so snug, still a hoodie because they had become my uniform, I had even shaved; I was pulling out the big guns this time and my black Stetson Presidente hat. My feet were still too swollen for boots so I still wore my slippers.
