CHAPTER 1

MAGEDELENE'S POV

PUSH..

"Push, Push," the doctor said after being in the labor room for close to two hours now.

He knew he was in for it this time, this time he had to choose between the mother and the child..

one of the toughest decision he has to make as a doctor,

a father to be..

He already knew what to do..

This beautiful brown skinned woman who was in labor because of him had whispered to him..

"Choose the baby....choose... her"..She said, 

that was the last time he heard her scream, he heard her say anything at all..

Then he saw 

The baby, coming out covered in blood..

The mutters under his breathe..

"It a baby girl, my child" ..he said aloud.

It all comes back, the memories, the stories, being told of how her she killed her mother, the woman who chose her without thinking of the consequences

Magdelene wandered home today in this big city, this is the third time she would be relocating, this time it was because of college.

 PHILIP 'S POV

Philip is in his room, playing this current car race on his PC.. there's no version of it he doesn't have..

He heard a glass shatter..he ran downstairs to know what's going on.

 " Darling, I would like us to try for our own babies "

Mary said while mixing the eggs together as the fire heating the pot on it

while Dave packing the shattered glass on the floor.

As she said those words,

Dave went towards her and held get hands gently and Said

"We will figure this out together...I love you"

Philip had overheard everything, this was the first time he was hearing this

could it be..

" Our own babies" he muttered it out loud

He was adopted..he didn't want to believe it..

they had never treated him like he wasn't thiers

he has been provided,loved, sheltered, catered for...He always felt belonged..

He also wanted siblings, but it never occured, his parent has also been trying for another

should he confront them?

should he ignore this?

"Philip, Philip.." Mary called, snapping him of his thoughts 

 DAVE'S POV

I really messed up

how was he going to tell Mary the truth?..

how was he going to face her? 

That there's a child out there that he's ..

A child he doesn't know of.. that he only saw during at birth, he didn't get to hold for too long

A child he had search for long, 

A child he cant even recognize even if he saw today.. 

A child he trashed away because he was too young, a child that wasn't Mary's

How could he tell Mary that he had cheated on her, lied to her face..

How was going to tell her that he was the problem, and he was the cause of their misfortune.

"Doctor, Your attention is needed right now ".. 

A nurse ran hastily to him in his office and was about to leave, when she realized he hadn't payed attention to her.

"Doctor Dave, there's a severely injured man in room 16, your attention is needed" she said loudly..this time he jerked up immediately leaving his thought behind to face reality.

MAGEDELENE'S POV

"Hi baby, how are you doing, how's the college life" Steph said over the phone to Maggie

Steph, a single mom to magedelene.

"Ma, I am doing good , how about you, hope you dont miss me too much."

Magedelene loves Steph, she couldn't have any other mother..

she watched Steph fought strong to get custody of her from her abusive husband who just wanted to spite her..she watched Steph struggles.

Despite that steph never made her felt like she never belonged.. Steph did all she could for her like any mother would do for their child.

"Of course, my darling I do, always hit me up, feel free to come to me about anything, I have to go now baby, love you.

Steph knew when to be a mother, a friend, a gossip partner.. Steph is her everything..

As she stayed on her bed reflecting, she had this feeling that things were about to be different for her..

she hoped whatever it was, it was gonna be laugh, love and life she smiled knowing she had heard that phrase somewhere, maybe in a book..

 PHILIP'S POV

Son, we got you a gift." Dave said smiling

"Dad, tell me it my dream car." Philip smiled looking at both of his parent

Mary laughed out loudly

"Well the gift can't pass through the door, we would have to go out to check what it is"

Philip swiftly stood up, dropping his game, and followed his parent.

As he saw it, his mouth went wide open it was 2020 Hyundai Elantra..

He couldn't believe it...

immediately the thought of not being their son slid in, he quickly pushed it away..he can't think about this now..

He went towards his parents and hugged them both...

"This is my dream car, I have had nightmares cause of this, I can't really say how grateful I am"

Philip said almost getting emotional.

"Oh Son, you've always gotten straight A's".

I and your mom don't know how you do it, but you do it, You get into trouble but not that much..well we can see you've been a good son and you deserve this."

As Dave said this they all laughed

"Dad, Mom , the boys must hear of this." Philip said joyfully as his mom handed him the car cars

"Can I take my baby for a ride" 

that was the last thing, Philip said as he drove off.

Dave and Mary laughed out loud while looking at each other proud, that they could a smile on his face

PHILIP'S POV

"BOYSSS, you all have to check out my new ride"

Philip beamed while proudly showing off his new car to Jay and Sunny..

"O boy, your parent went all big for you." Jay said while examining the car

"Mahn, you are gonna let this college girls know our boy has landed." sunny said while shaking Philip's hands playfully

" Boys hoop in, let's go and take this baby around town!!..." 

They hopped in and Philip put on some rap music as they ride around town.
