Prowess of Blood Refining Realm

As the dust settled and the remnants of the defeated army lay in ruin, Azrael turned to Bianca with a determined expression. He knew it was time to address the issue at hand.

"Honey," Azrael began, "I think it's time I have a word with our dear prince here. It might be best for you to step aside for a moment."

Bianca, aware of the seriousness in Azrael's voice, nodded in agreement. She trusted him implicitly and understood that there were matters he needed to address directly. With a parting glance, she moved away from the prince, allowing Azrael to take the lead in the next part of their encounter.

The prince's arrogance had been replaced by abject fear as Azrael's lifeless eyes, like an abyss devoid of emotion, locked onto him. His previous bravado crumbled, and in a moment of terrifying realization, he emitted a high-pitched, horrified "Hiiiik!" that echoed through the eerie silence of the Corrupted Region. The encounter had taken a chilling turn, and the consequences of his actions now loomed over him like a dark, looming specter.

The elder cultivator, Kal Y Senobia, was left utterly speechless by the stark contrast in the prince's behavior. He could only shake his head in disappointment, taking a deep breath before stepping forward to shield the prince.

"I am Kal Y Senobia, the protector of this foolish prince," he introduced himself, his aura resonating with the strength of the Profound Sovereign realm. "Please, spare him."

Azrael, with an amused tone in his voice, responded to Kal Y Senobia's plea. "Do you think I am a forgiving person?" His words hung in the air, leaving a sense of uncertainty as to what the outcome of this encounter would be.

Kal Y Senobia uttered, "I see," acknowledging the situation and the challenge before him. He then took a fighting stance, his movements fluid and poised, ready to defend the foolish prince.

"Is it worth it?" Azrael asked, his voice carrying a sense of incredulity. "Is it worth it to serve this foolish prince?" His words lingered in the tense air, prompting a moment of reflection on the choices made in the name of loyalty and service.

Kal, resolute in his defense of the prince, stated, "Yes, it is worth it. Believe me or not, the prince is not originally arrogant by nature. He is a kind-hearted and naive child who grew up in a toxic environment. I have watched him since he was a child, and his innate kindness touched my heart. I treated him as my own son. But, no matter how my feelings are, reality is often cruel. I lacked the influence within that palace to correct his path. The people there only poisoned this kind-hearted young man."

The prince, moved by Kal's words, "Elder..", uttered a response with a hint of moisture in the corner of his eyes.

"Interesting," Azrael remarked, his gaze unwavering. "If you are that willing to die for the prince, no, for your son, I will gladly take you on. This is also the perfect timing to test how much my Blood Refining realm cultivation can fare against the Profound Sovereign Realm."

"Blood Refining? That's new to me," Kal responded with a hint of curiosity.

Azrael simply replied, "Because it's new." His response carried an air of confidence as he prepared to face Kal's formidable Profound Sovereign cultivation

As the battle between Azrael and Kal commenced, the Corrupted Region bore witness to a clash of extraordinary powers. Azrael, confident in his Blood Refining realm cultivation, chose to rely solely on the prowess of his physical body, while Kal, with mastery over Wind-type techniques, utilized the elements to his advantage.

Azrael, with his immense strength and agility, moved with remarkable grace and precision. His movements were a dance of power and control as he deftly dodged and countered Kal's gusts of wind and cutting whirlwinds. Each strike from Azrael's physical body resonated with incredible force, causing tremors in the surroundings.

Kal, on the other hand, wielded the power of the wind, creating a breathtaking spectacle as he conjured fierce gales and sharp currents to assail Azrael. The air became charged with the raw energy of their clash, and it seemed as though the very elements themselves were engaged in a furious duel.

The battle raged on, with Azrael's physical might meeting the elemental finesse of Kal's Wind-type techniques. The Corrupted Region bore witness to a contest of extraordinary abilities, and the outcome remained uncertain, with Kal pushing his limits to gain the upper hand.

With each punch, Azrael's physical strikes were imbued with a reddish energy that served as a clear testament to the essence energy he had unlocked upon entering the Blood Refining realm. His blows possessed incredible force, enough to disperse the tornado cast by Kal. The Wind-type techniques of Kal's 5th Profound Sovereign Realm cultivation seemed at a disadvantage against the sheer power of Azrael's physical physique.

As the battle raged on, Kal couldn't help but be baffled by Azrael's capabilities. He marveled at Azrael's physical strength, which far exceeded his imagination, and was achieved without any Qi reinforcement. Kal's thoughts raced, attempting to decipher the source of Azrael's power and the unusual energy that seemed more suited to the body than Qi.

"What is this?" Kal pondered. "Who is he? Is it possible to cultivate the body in this manner? Impossible! That's simply impossible. I have lived nearly 400 years, and this is the first time I have encountered this. Unless this is a new cultivation system..." His train of thought was abruptly cut short as Azrael, with astonishing speed, appeared next to him and delivered a devastating kick that sent him hurtling into a nearby forest. The impact razed the surroundings, erasing the small forest and sending shockwaves through the nearby cultivators, who were left in awe of the astounding display of strength.

As Kal struggled to regain his composure and coughed up blood, his body battered and broken, he mustered the strength to ask, "Who are you?" He could see Azrael standing nearby, seemingly unfazed by the brutal kick he had delivered.

"I am Azrael," came the straightforward response.

Kal, his voice strained by pain, couldn't help but inquire further. "Your cultivation..."

Azrael interrupted, "It's new."

Kal's eyes went pure shock. "How did you discover it?"

"I didn't , I created it." Azrael said confidently.

The shock that had been painted across Kal's face earlier now transformed into sheer horror. The revelation that Azrael had not merely discovered a new cultivation but had created one left Kal in utter disbelief. He didn't press further with questions, for the notion of crafting an entirely new cultivation system was a feat beyond comprehension. Beings could only cultivate existing systems, or so he had believed. Azrael's revelation had shattered his understanding of what was possible in the realm of cultivation.

The universe had its fixed rules, and one of them was that cultivators could only cultivate Qi. It was a fundamental principle that had been followed for ages, and it applied to both humans and monsters alike. Human cultivators focused on refining their Qi, while monsters, who were innate by nature, channeled their energy into developing their physical bodies. They couldn't cultivate Qi, but in return, they gained extraordinary physical prowess and the ability to unlock unique energies and powers specific to their lineage.

Azrael's revelation that he had created a new cultivation system challenged these established norms and left Kal in a state of profound astonishment. It was a paradigm-shifting revelation that shook the very foundations of what was believed to be possible in the realms of cultivation.

Kal, slowly standing despite his injuries, remarked, "That energy, it seems it's more closely related to what monster energy is."

Azrael smiled slightly and explained, "Well, technically, yes." He extended his hand, forming a small ball of essence energy. "Because this energy came from my body."

Kal, still puzzled by the situation, questioned Azrael's choice of using this new energy against him. He coughed and continued, "I see, so that's why it's more suited to the physical body. However, I am puzzled. Why did you use it against me? From my point of view, your physical body alone was sufficient to defeat me, as evidenced by the kick earlier."

Azrael, with a genuine tone, explained, "Well, I simply wanted to test my current cultivation's prowess, and out of respect for your resoluteness."

In truth, Azrael possessed the ability to conceal his cultivation, and Kal wouldn't have been able to discern the true extent of Azrael's strength or the nature of the power that had struck him. Azrael had chosen to reveal a fraction of his capabilities to gauge his new cultivation's effectiveness and to respect the elder's unwavering loyalty to the prince.

"Kal, I'll give you a chance. Do your best," Azrael declared confidently.

"Are you sure?" Kal inquired, his voice still strained from the battle and his injuries.

"I don't need concern from a dying elder," Azrael replied with a sense of finality.

With a few labored coughs, Kal reluctantly accepted Azrael's offer. "I see. I'll do my worst. Prince!!! I hope we become a real father and son in the next life, my son!!!" His voice resounded through the Corrupted Region, reaching the ears of the prince.

Touched to the core by Kal's words, the prince's eyes welled up with tears. The elder's genuine love had shattered the prince's arrogance, and he bawled while running towards the two cultivators.

"Please, young noble, spare him," the prince implored. "This is because of my foolishness! He didn't do anything wrong..." The prince's emotional plea was cut short as he lost his balance and collapsed to the ground.

"Unfortunately, I can't ignore his resoluteness," Azrael admitted.

Kal gazed lovingly at the prince and nodded in gratitude. With unwavering determination, he uttered the name of his technique, "Tempest Dragon!" The wind around them changed direction, and a colossal eastern dragon made of tempest was conjured. It loomed with a menacing size, its maw possessing the power to annihilate powerful foes.

Azrael, on the other hand, closed his fist, gathering momentum. A concentrated essence energy formed at his command. The tempest dragon lunged at him with immense force, and in response, Azrael struck the air with a powerful punch. The essence energy flew directly towards the tempest dragon, shattering its defenses and dispersing its formidable power. The energy continued its path and blasted a hole through Kal's chest, ending the battle.

[A/N: I really enjoyed writing the outline of this chapter, at last we saw what the new cultivation system can do, of course, even this cultivation system is Op in itself, Azrael is just anomaly, because he tempered his body with great dao's power, he was able to leap a huge steps and fight a Profound Sovereign Cultivator. I hope you enjoyed Kal's brief but impactful(?) appearance. Thanks for the support!]
