The girl's too naive

"so which movie should we watch?" Joshua asked, placing the bowl of popcorn on the table and sat on the floor beside Ariana.

"I don't know." She shrugged. "Sara recommended it a few months back and I didn't have time to watch it."

"Oh? Then let's watch it." Joshua said.

"Okay I'll play it." She smiled and turned on the TV as the screen lit up and the film started.

The movie was about a young girl who just moved to a new neighbourhood and attending a new school. In this new school of hers, she was liked by everyone except the CCP girls and the sport's team. The leader of the sport's team whose name was Ross, used to make fun of her for been middle class and that her look was average while the leader of the CCP girls was jealous of her beauty so she ganged up with Ross and played a big prank on her which later landed her in the hospital. Ross became nervous as he didn't want to be caught, he went to the hospital and that was were he found out that she was nyctophobia. Ross became remorseful and asked her for forgiveness and they later became friends. As for the leader of the CCP who liked Ross, they didn't get to know what happened because Joshua interrupted.

"Aria! What kind of movie is this?" He frowned.

"Um... it's a romance." She replied, her eyes glued to the screen.

"Oh?" Was his only reply as he thought of what Sara had told him. Wait! Could Sara have given this movie to her today or is this just a mere coincidence. That Ross guy is just like me and the girl in the movie... isn't anything like Ariana, not one bit. But the movie.

"Are you okay?" Ariana's voice sounded in the room as Joshua looked at the TV to see the xtras playing.

"Oh? It's ended." He said to himself.

"Did you say anything?" She asked.

"No, I mean did you enjoy the movie?" Joshua asked, smiling.

"Not really." She replied, as she grabbed a handful of popcorn and ate it.

"Why?" He inquired.

"The girl's too naive, if I was the one in that situation, I'll never forgive him." She smirked as Joshua remembered again what Sara had said about betrayal.

"Oh?"

"What about you...did you like the movie?" She asked, looking at him with a smile curved on her lips.

"Urm...yes it was good." Joshua coughed.

"I'll use the bathroom, I'll be back soon." He replied, nervously and ran away.

"What's wrong with him?" She shrugged as she turned back her attention to the popcorn on the table when Joshua's phone started ringing.

"Annabel?" Ariana said as she picked up his phone.

"Whose that?" She frowned.

"Could she be his girlfriend or something...I don't think I should pick it up." She thought to herself as she placed the phone back on the table.

"But what if it's urgent, I should pick it up." Ariana finally concluded as she picked up the phone again about to answer the call when Joshua suddenly came from no where and snatched the phone.
