"Oh, oh no! It looks like we arrived late!" Alfie commented.
Jake watched the couple lost in the glorious embrace of each other. His heart was gripped with sadness and regrets. He already lost Helen. 'She's never yours in the first place!' a tiny voice whispered in his ears.
"Shall we continue and make our presence known to Helen?" Alfie asked.
Jake shook his head. "No need. Let's go!" he said and turned around, going back to the entrance of the building.
"Where are we going?" Alfie inquired.
"To my Dad's office!" Jake replied.
A few moments later, Jake and Alfie boarded the car and left the building's premises.
Back in the lobby.
The reunited couple entered the elevator going back to the condo unit to have a serious heart-to-heart talk. They settled in the living room and faced each other, sporting a serious expression on their faces.
Peter released a deep sigh. "Where should we begin...?" he asked.
