to you” Jo explained calmly.
Jay's curiosity heightened, he swallowed, staring at the lunch box with great interest, “Who prepared the food for you?” he asked.
“Is a secret” Jo answered.
He tried persuading Jo, but he didn't give in, he finished the food and reclined on his chair “so, you were saying?” he asked, feeling relaxed, and full.
Jay pointed his finger at him “you are not a nice friend” he accused him, and left his office slamming the door.
Jo shrugged his shoulders, and decided to go see his father with a file, he was having complications with.
Amanda's stomach grumbled, her worms have started agitating for food, she bit her lower lip, and regretted trading away her lunch box, she was in a great discomfort.
Jo strode in, and met her, holding on to her stomach, she beamed and straightened up when she saw him coming “Mr. Jo, you brought back my lunch box?” she inquired, with a trace of hope.
Jo nodded and dropped the lunch box on the table “Yes, you are a great cook, why don't you teach me how to cook better?” he asked, Amanda was surprised.
“Me?”
“I will leave you with that” he said and walked towards the door leading to his father's office, Amanda grabbed her lunch box and opened it quickly, hoping to see little to eat.
But she sighed in resignation, when she saw it was empty, Jo witnessed her action and chuckled, he ordered food online for her.
Jo was surprise not to see his father in his office, he gritted his teeth, the old man must be punishing him, he thought, he brought out his phone and dialed his father's number.
The call connected.
The old man's voice came from the other end immediately.
“Thank God you called, Jo, I won't be coming to the office for some time, I am leaving everything to you, I went to see my doctor, and everything isn't cool” the old man voice was low.
Jo's heart twitched, he became agitated, “Dad, are you alright? Should I come and accompany you? Or, I should send Jeane?”
Before he could get any response from the other end, he heard a faint voice “The drink …” and the voice trailed off, Jo's face darkened, realizing that, the old man is tricking him.
“You don't have to worry, you are such a filial child, I don't need anyone to accompany in the hospital, I will talk to you later, the doctor said I should get ready to be examined”
Before Jo could say anything, he heard a beeping sound from his phone.
“Hospital?” he snorted, and stamped his feet on the floor, he turned around and headed towards the exit.
Amanda looked at the package on the table, that was delivered to her, she was unwilling to touch it “why are you looking at it like that?" he asked, wondering why, she isn't eating yet.
Amanda sighed “the delivery boy, said, my boyfriend bought
