The Beginning of Our Chapter

July 17 2019

I saw her standing there. She was on the edge of the bridge. I knew what she was about to do. Suddenly, everything went quiet. I saw her dark red hair fly up while her body went down. My heart started racing. I scream her name, "LUNA!".

August 21 2018, Morning

"It's my birthday today", I thought quietly as I look into the mirror, brushing my teeth.

"But it's also the first day of school", I thought. I always hated school. No matter how smart I was, I never enjoyed school. Maybe it's because I always been lonely. Nobody really talked to me. Only when they need help or just wanted an answer. Didn't have lots of friends either. I never been good with people. "All well", I thought while walking out the front door.

August 21 Period 1

I been at this school for only a year now but even I have noticed new faces. One stood out in particular. It was a girl, long dark red hair, freckles, and dark brown eyes.

I look at her with amazement, "she looks...beautiful" I thought as I quietly scroll through my phone while our teacher is teaching math.

Period 2

She's in my class again, this time in reading class. And unlike math, she sits right next to me. I suddenly feel nervous. "Why am I so nervous, I never been so nervous to anyone" I thought. And its true no one really liked me before and I usually gave up on trying to be in a relationship. The teacher stands up "Talk to your partners and get to know them because y'all will be partners for the rest of the year, unless any unfortunate situations happens". I turn to see her smiling with her glimmering dark brown eyes straight into my dark brown eyes. She starts to speak, "Hey I'm Luna. I like to watch TV shows,specifically on Netflix. I prefer to watch anime but I can watch any show. I don't go outside much, too hot and too cold. I was born with this natural dark red hair. How about you?". I start to speak, "My name is Louise. I like watching anime too. I don't go outside much either. I prefer to stay home, play games, and watch anime.

I don't have friends either. I'm not new is just that, nobody really pay attention to my existence". We sit there quietly." Well as long as I'm here, I'll always be your friend "Luna says. I feel this sudden feeling of acceptance and friendship. The bell rings, me and Luna walks to our next period.

I scream her name "LUNA!" I jump after her. I grab her and pull her close to my chest. We fall together. I whisper in her ear.

Her eyes start to water. And then we hit it.

August 22 2018

I was walking to 2nd period until I heard people laughing and a person crying. I peek the corner filled with curiosity, only the see it was Luna. Two boys were laughing at her while one other boy pulled her hair. "What a freak!", one boy say. "Yeah, you look like a tomato", another boy says. Then suddenly the boy who was pulling her hair let go, and was ready to hit her. My body acted on it's own. I jumped in the way and stop the punch. I never been in this situation before. I pushed back and fought for my friend. The two boys grabbed me and put me in a position where I couldn't move. The boy who was pulling Luna's hair came to me and punched me in the face until blood leaked out my face like a fountain. He then punched me constantly in the stomach until blood covered all over the floor. He stops, turns to Luna, and gets ready to hit her again. I break free from the two boys, punched the boy who punched me, grabbed Luna's hand, and started to run.

Me and her ran to our class as fast as possible. We told our teacher, Ms.Kastro, about the situation. She goes to the office while me and Luna was sent to the nurse.

Luna nevered let go of my hand. Even if we were safe, she didn't let go.

After School

We walk home. "Who do you live with?" Luna asked. "No one, I live alone. My parents pay my rent, I live in a house with two rooms,a living room, bathroom, and kitchen" I say. She grabs my hand harder. "Can I stay with you?" She asked. My heart pounds harder then a car going 100 miles per hour into a brick wall. I think about what happend today and how I feel like I can't say no to her. After what happend today I can't. "Of course but what about your home and your family" I say. She says this we tears going down her eyes faster than a stream of water. "My family died years ago, I live secretly in an orphanage but they don't know that". I think to myself, "Wow, she's been through hell. I don't ever want her to feel that pain again. I will be by her side no matter what, and when ever she's in pain, I'll save her". " Well, me and you, together, we can start a new family" I say as I stare deeply into her dark brown eyes. I lift my hand and run it slowly through her hair. "I would like that" Luna says with a smile. We go home , eat food, take a shower, and sleep. Together, me and Luna, forever.

I whisper in her ear " I will always save you". Her eyes starts to water, as I turn over to protect her from the damage of the water.
