Their Vulnerability

Arya looked at her beloved in disbelief. She never thought of the word trauma bonding nor had she associated it with their relationship.

The two stayed silent for a while. Levi started second-guessing everything he had said. Although it was the truth, he was afraid that his words would hurt her.

Contrary to his belief, Arya wasn't hurt. Rather, she suddenly got an epiphany. "Let me get something. I will be back." She removed her frame from his lap and walked off.

Watching her back turned to him and her feet walking further from him, he was once again filled with regret. It was probably too early to say all that to her. What if his words broke the newly found bond they created again?

He fell into a trace beating himself down. Arya returned and watched him from a distance for a while. Despite the resolve she had worked up, she suddenly had cold feet.
