Levi had nothing to say to that. He was still getting used to having a man in love with him. A stranger he came to know after his near-death incident.
While someone else would feel the urge to ignore it, he relished the feeling. Knowing that he was lovable healed a part of him he never knew was wounded.
"Was she happy with you?" He asked.
If he was asked this question before he knew what being in love was, the answer would be a solid yes. Now, he wasn't sure anymore.
Was she really happy with him? Hence he replied in a way that he thought appropriate.
"I don't know. What I can tell you, however, is that I loved her in my way. She never lacked anything. Be it physical intimacy or financial ones. I tried to provide them as much as I could."
Levi couldn't help but sigh at the answer. It wasn't his place to point out how much those things didn't matter where there was no love.
