She woke up sometime later, her stomach growling from hunger. As she tried to get up, she could feel the heaviness that weighed her down.
She was a light sleeper. The kind that doesn't turn without being conscious first. Albeit the heaviness she felt on her head, she could also feel something warm on her forehead.
Her eyes peeled open with some difficulties and were greeted with darkness. She didn't need to think too far to know what had happened.
She recalled the event that led to her current state quite vividly. Sarah was aware of the warm body that lay beside her own. She turned around as carefully as possible and almost winced at the pain that shot through her head.
Her migraines lasted for a long and we're always incapacitating. She turned anyways and rested on her hand ensuring that the warm heating pad was adjusted.
