Rica scuffed as she watched as his figure disappeared through the trees. She noticed a tall large building that was coming into view in the distance and she guessed that was where he resided.
She didn't care what he said she was goignto womr on her own and prove to them that she could survive. She had lived a worse Fate.
She didn't know why but she felt somewhat drained because of everything . Like everything around her was calling down on her and she didn't know where to turn.
But it was as though there was something that had snapped deep inside of her. She couldn't sit around and continue to live in fear anymore. She knew that she hsd ro stand up and keep her head strong.
She looked around the forest as she smiled when she spotted a hollowed out tree in the distance. She felt a sense of hole d come over her as she found herself making her way toward ut with a grin on her face.
She found herself sitting against the bark of the tree and she hoped that when she woke up that it would all be over.
…
"What do you mean that she is dead? I told you that we should have Sent that attack out yesterday." Her father yelled.
She was stood behind one of the thick curtains of the pack tents as she listened in on his conversation. She knew that it would get into trouble but she hadn't seen her mum all day and she was starting to worry.
"Chief. Your wife went out there and they decided to make an example out of her that isn't our fault. I am sorry to say." The general said to him
"And that was why I told you guys that we should have attacked yesterday. Before they learn about us. The death is on your shoulders, not mine. I can't even look at you." he spat.
Ricea gasped at his words as she felt her eyes begin to water. She didn't want to believe that her mom was gone. It just couldn't be possible.
"That is because we wanted not to risk the lives of our men. But I heard that you were in the forest with her when it happened so how about you tell me the reason why you made it out unscathed." He asked.
"Are you implying that I had something to do with her getting killed? '' He roared. Rica gasped loudly causing them to still.
"There is someone out there." Her father announced.
…
Rica gasped for breath as she sat upon the floor abruptly and clutched her chest to still her racing heart.
She hadn't had that dream in a long while. She knew that her father was a lot of things. And one of those things included him being a monster but most often at times she preferred to push the thought to the back of her head.
In a sense she wasn't terribly dad that Lust had killed him. It wasn't as though he were a good man and it may have seemed insensitive lf her to say it but in a way he did deserve it.
She stood up on the ground as she heard the sound of her stomaCh gurgling and she realized the fact that she hadn't eaten anything all day.
She had to find something for her to try and keep herself full.
She scanned her eyes around the wooded area and it was to her dismay that she couldn't find any animals. To her relief though she found a tree that had a few bushes with strange fruit on it.
She knew that it was a risk eating from it but she didn't have much of a chance. She Liked towards the large castle above her and she hoped that he would be happy if this ended up killing her.
She was surprised at the somewhat tangy taste of the fruit. It was a bit like a blueberry and when she felt as though they were not enough and hurried to scarf down the rest of them.
She sighed in relief as she let out a sigh from her lips. She knew that her next step was for her to get some water. She was able to sleep in the bark of the tree for a whole but she wasn't sure if she could exactly turn it into a home. She had to find something that was more secure for her.
She headed through the forest as she tried to listen for the animals but to her relief her ears picked up the sound of running water. Her louth dried up almost constant as she found herself making her way through the trees quickly and she fell upon a small stream.
Without warning she lowered herself to her knees as she took in large gulps of the water. She felt as though she could breathe properly again as she loved away from the stream and calmed her racing heart.
But her relief was short lived as she heard the sound of a loud growl coming from behind her. She tensed up as she swiveled around quickly to face it. Her body trembled as she let out a lis squeaking sound at the sight of s large black wolf with vibrant red eyes.
She knew that he wasn't going to let her go and all that was left was for her to close her eyes and accept her fate. She could feel it racing towards her as a tingling sensation came over her from the behind. She found herself struggling to move as she realized that they must have been poisoned.
She was left frozen as it charged towards her, clicking its teeth as it drooled. She shut her eyes tightly waiting for the inevitable. And just as its teeth skimmed her neck she heard it whimper,
She opened her eyes just long enough to see another large wolf bite into its neck.
