Investigation....but no lead
Daniel looked up at Eric,
"Eric, what the hell are you saying "
"Yes Boss, I was a little uneasy about this accident, so I investigated and found that the footage was tempered, and Madam as also received a call before the accident...but it's an unknown number, I have asked someone to check "
"But why didn't she say that to me"
" Did you listen to Madam...Boss"
Daniel stood there dumbfounded... At Eric's question, it was true...he didn't even give her a chance for, but he just yelled at her, as soon she was awake. How can he be so stupid, then he saw Eric with a complicated look, when he wanted to ask a few more questions, Eric said
"Boss, let me check this properly... Before you tell anyone "
Daniel nodded and went back to the ward, Megan was sleeping with her hands hugging herself, Daniel would see how lonely she was, he walked to her kissed her forehead, and walks to the washroom, when he left Megan opened her eyes, few drops of tears flicked from her eyes, even she didn't know what she was thinking now...then she slowly closed her eyes, and slept for real when Daniel walked out with his PJs, he saw her tearful eyes, he walked to her, wiped Megan's eyes, and he quietly laid next to her hugging, Megan in his embrace....
The next morning Megan opened her eyes... To see Daniel sleeping next to her, his handsome face looked grave, Megan thought to herself,
Daniel must be disappointed in her, as she failed to protect the baby, and she too blamed her for that, if she would have just stayed in the hall, the accident could have not happened and her baby would be alive... it's her mistake for being more careful, She got up and went to the washroom to wash, Megan was so weak, she didn't even have the strength to stand firm, Ahe collapsed on the floor, hearing the noise, Daniel woke up, and rushed to the washroom, to see the fainted girl on the cold floor... He carried her back to the bed and pressed the emergency button, a nurse rushed in and asked, what happened in... Daniel explained everything to her, and the nurse said,
"Sir, she has lost a lot of blood, and have no stamina, to walk alone, please take care, if she needs to use the washroom or anything, please call for help, we will help her"
Daniel nodded but felt helpless if only he was careful, and used precautions or at least taken proper care of her... Megan would have not suffered this, he cursed himself and thought what Mr Felix said was true... If he had not asked her to marry him...whole his thoughts were drafting, He got a call from Mr Cam...he walked out to talk,
" Morning, Mr Can... How can you help you"
" Daniel, Mr Sol, wants you to accompany you with him on a business trip to M city"
Daniel rubbed his forehead and asked
"When should I leave Mr Cam..."
"Tonight, be ready I will pick you up in your apartment, ask Eric to take care of your work here"
Daniel didn't know what to say, he just agreed, but said to pick Him in the hospital, Mr Cam thought, that he was accompanying his mother, but didn't know that Megan was in the hospital... Daniel went in to see Megan again trying to get out of the bed, he signed... And went to her and asked
"Why do you always make me worry, where are you going now"
Megan bit her life a and said
" I want to use the washroom...can you please call a nurse to help me"
Daniel shook his head, bent down and carried her to the washroom, Megan held Daniel's neck in reflex... Daniel put her on the toilet seat and tried to remove her pant, when Megan held her pant and looked at Daniel in embarrassment... Daniel looked up at his little wife and asked
"What's there to be shy... Tell me which part of young have not seen"
"Then too... You leave, I will call once I am done"
Daniel got up, tapped Megan's forehead... And walked out, closing the door for her, when he reached out he saw Mrs Felix and Mr Felix...placing a huge hot box on the table, Eric walked in with a file and said
" Boss, this is the file you have to carry with you, it's the project file at M city..."
Daniel nodded and took the file, and said
"Eric, get my bag packed and bring it here, I have asked Mr Cam to pick me in-hospital "
Eric nodded...he was very frustrated that he was not able to find that number's owner and also he had found a new number calling Johnson... But when he tried calling the number it was disabled... He was stuck with no clue, and was worried. As he was in his thoughts, it was Mrs Felix who spoke,
" Daniel, are you going somewhere... "
"Yes Mom, I am going on a business trip to M city"
When he finished his words, he turned to see Megan standing in the washroom door, her eyes were a bit clouded, but she managed herself well, and came down to her bed, while Adam helped her on the bed, Daniel tried to explain, but didn't know how... When Eric was about to leave, Megan spoke
" Eric, stay for breakfast, it's from our house...it will taste good"
Eric nodded and went to help Siya, who was taking out the food... She somewhat liked Eric, he gave the family feeling, both Eric and Siya spoke and arranged breakfast for all, Daniel came out of the washroom after wash to see... Megan was been fed by her Dad, he was already in a bad mood, to leave her and now, it was again...his wife been stolen by her Dad...with a grampy face he sat next Eric, Who happily eating, while talking with Siya..
Siya served Daniel his breakfast, it was Megan's favourite...
Megan quietly ate, as she thought Daniel must be unhappy with her, as she first opposed him in having a baby and now she lost the baby in an accident... He must dislike her, as she looked up, She saw Daniel staring at her... Megan didn't know why Daniel was staring at her, but his gaze was helpless... Megan turned her gaze to her dad, while shook her head and said
"I am full Dad"
"You have lost a lot of blood Megan... You need to eat more now"
Megan nodded and said
"Dad, I want to go home, discharge me"
" But, Megan... The doctor said you should hire for a year"
Daniel said, Megan completely ignored him, and again pleaded to her Dad...
"Please, Dad..."
Adam had no way to refuse his daughter, so he agreed... Then he went to ask her attaining doctor if it was ok to discharge Megan...while Daniel looked at her, Eric noticed a heavy atmosphere and said
"Boss, I will get your things..."
Daniel, nodded his head... He can understand, that Megan was very much upset with him... So he didn't say anything else to make things even worst...
After a while, Adam walked in and said
"Meg, the doctor will observe today, if your vitals are good, will send you home tomorrow, and I have asked for a nurse to take care of you "
Megan nodded but still didn't look at Daniel when again Mrs Siya asked
"Megan, are you going with Daniel, but he is...."
Before Siya would finish her words... Megan said
" I am going home, Mom"
Daniel looked at Megan but didn't say anything, thinking it could be nice as he will not be here, for a few days... But didn't know what was Megan thinking... While Megan thought, that he hated her so much, that Daniel didn't even have any problem with her going with her parents... After some time Adam and Siya left while saying they will be back with dinner... As Siya as to stay with Megan for the night... Megan nodded, but Adam looked at Daniel and asked,
"Daniel can we talk..."
Daniel nodded and walked out with Mr Adam,
" Daniel, I have checked the CCTV footage, to know what exactly happened... But the footage was tampered with, and that one hour is been erased, what do you think about it "
" I had known it Dad, we are working on it... I will let you know as soon as I get some information "
Adam nodded in understanding... He tapped Daniel's 's shoulder and called her a wife... And left, Daniel walked in to see Megan talking with someone on her mobile... He sat on the couch and watched her, it was from Olivia... Megan speaking for few minutes when there was a knock on the door, Daniel got up and opened the door to see her stupid friends... Ray and Riley, but had a very serious look, walked in Megan saw them... When Ray walked close to her, she just hugged him and started to cry, she had controlled her tears for a long time, she was also sad and depressed about losing her child, she didn't cry in front of her parents, as she didn't want to worry them and Daniel thought she was acting... So it made no sense to cry in front of him... But this was her friends, where she can do anything, they will understand her... Riley also held her hands and said
" Megan it's not your mistake, it was an accident, so stop worrying....ok"
Daniel didn't say anything, as he know, she can only open completely with this stupid friend of hers, so he let her cry... So the heaviness in her heart can else a bit... By noon Eric came back with the lunch box which was sent by Mrs Felix, he set the lunch, Daniel was out to talk to doctor about Megan health, while Megan called him
"Eric, did you find who called me"
Eric shook her head and said,
"Not yet, but don't worry I will find out who did this, it must be on purpose they have done this accident"
Megan smiled bitterly, thinking who will be so heartless to harm her unborn child... And what will they even gain by that, Meanwhile, Daniel was speaking to the doctor
"So how is her health... Will, she is ok in few days"
"Daniel, Megan's physical health will be fine in a few days, but I am worried about her mental health... She is in a deep depression... I don't know what it is still, she's not opening up, but it's too dangerous for her"
"What are you saying, Doctor... So what are you suggesting I do, I will do anything to get her back to normal "
"It could be nothing much... You need to agree with her for few months, as Megan may think...She's been denied of all her wish"
Daniel didn't know what was going on, so he quietly agreed and walked out to Megan, when entered he saw, Megan was eating happily and laughing at Eric's joke... Eric was serving her the food, he was nearly three years elder than her... She treated him like a brother, but seeing Daniel, Megan became quiet... And ate her food, Eric looked at Daniel and walked to get him a plate and served him food...Daniel didn't say anything, as he only wanted Megan to be happy...
It was late evening Adam and Siya walked in with dinner for Megan and Daniel... After dinner, Daniel got ready to leave, he was in a navy blue suit... With his hair combed back, he looked elegant, seeing him Adam thought, Daniel was charming at the same time, he looked professional... He was happy to have a son in law like him, Megan looked at the man of her life, with complicated thoughts...Siya and Adam walked out to give the couple privacy... Daniel walked to Megan, held her nape put his forehead in hers and said
"I will be back in three days, eat well... Don't think about anything too much"
Megan looked up at the handsome man, and nodded... Daniel kissed her lips and said again...
"Wait for me, and be good..."
Megan smiled and kissed him back... But Daniel felt some things were not ok... He smiled and kissed her forehead and walked out... Megan saw his back and tears dropped... As she thought we will never be the same as we were before Danny...
