  At the sound of my voice, Erin walks out of the room. Closing the door behind him. The human nowhere in sight. He must have known there was trouble from the scream from the intruder or something Erin did.

  "Answer my questions." I say, my hands apply more pressure and i force him down to his knees. His mouth was wide open and a piercing scream tears out of it like smoke.

  "Check if you can find anything on him." I tell Erin.

He does not need to be told twice, his hands work expertly, looking for any sort of identification on the intruder. 

  This just had to happen on the one day we sent the guards home. How did they know there were no guards here at the moment?

  "A rogue." Erin tells me. He did smell like a rogue, but I was not expecting it to be true. I assumed I didn't perceive right with all of the rogues parading around the pack these days.
