　　“I’m talking about those times you barely escaped. Whenever you tried to plot something, like that assault on Kaiser Klef that you failed to hurt him. Trust me, he could have easily turned the tables on you, but he was probably too horny. Think your plan worked that day? He took advantage of you, that’s what.”

　　“And you followed me? You saw everything but didn’t do anything?” I almost bellowed in rage. “Jacques Jones, you’ve gone too far!”

　　“You were willing to have intercourse with him,” Jack stated flatly. “Even if I intruded, you would have chased me away or not listened to me. So what else could I do but follow you into that hotel to watch over you?”
