Mated

As soon as she woke up, Cristy saw her wrist was twitching in pain. She used the pain-free hand to scratch her eyes.

"Take care of yourself. Hold your ground," a man's voice commanded.

Darwin had wrapped her wrist in a simple white bandage when she awoke. While doing so, he was glaring at her hand. Because of the blood she'd shed, the sheet where her arm was lying was scarlet.

Inquiring, "What's going on?" she massaged her eyes. Because she never wore makeup, she never had to be concerned about staining her face.

"Would you rather hear a long story or a short one?" He finished wrapping her wrist before laying it on the bed for her to rest her hand on. While standing, she bent over and kissed her knees to the ground.

"My desire is for the truth. "

He drew a sigh of relief. "The truth is out in the open. Once William, the alpha male, has mated with you, you become his… The bite on your wrist marks the commencement of the claim."

She shook her head in amazement as she inquired.

"Is he a lunatic?" For her to be paired with William, that was completely out of the ordinary. She had no idea who he was.

"Furthermore, you have an antipathy towards him."

She insisted that there had to be a mistake.

"There was no blunder. William and his wolf found you in the kitchen. It's impossible to stop the biting. William, he likes you."

Cristy shifted her position on the bed in an effort to avoid hearing him.

His opponent, on the other hand, could not possibly be her. She wasn't going to take it, not even for a second.

Once she was up and moving, she made her way to the door. Darwin halted her as she tried to leave the room.

The fact that he was holding her in the room behind closed doors befuddled her, so she confronted him.

"I'm not letting you go outdoors," he said.

"Why wouldn't you? Seeing as how I have an appointment with my father and I need to work at the diner," she chimed in.

His arm shot out again as he tried to stop her. "The orders of Alpha. You are not allowed to leave the premises."

Cristy pushed his arm. Darwin didn't move. Her arms were lifted in defeat as she walked over to the bedroom window. She witnessed the villagers getting ready for the feast after the pack finished their run.

A few minutes later, she returned to her desk and sat down. "You don't intend to take the leap?" Darwin inquired.

She gave him a scathing glance. "Fuck, I'm not that helpless."

After feeling the hardwood bed creak under his weight, she did her best to ignore him.

After a few moments of silence, he asked, "So, how does it feel being William's mate feel?"

"I'm not certain. Inconvenient. a minor setback."

She swiveled around to face away from him in an attempt to keep him quiet.

"As his spouse, regardless of your opinion, I suggest you to do what is best for him."

Cristy was furious and yelled at him as she was led out from the diner.

"William is someone I've never met in real life. I've never met him, but I know who he is. There is absolutely no way that I am his girlfriend. I am human being in this society."

"I know, how could we forget?" William said.

As soon as she heard his voice, she swung around in her seat and looked at him. The person was in the middle of the room.

Nothing but baggy jeans covered his entire body. That was an incredible display of his upper body. His large forearms were adorned with a variety of tribal inking. The tattoos couldn't disguise anything about his physique. Their size and might made them capable of decimating many of his competitors. She had heard a lot of talk about his sway. Some said that William's strength could crush another wolf if he only used it on himself. There was a rumor going around, and she opted to ignore it.

She took notice of his toned abs and six-pack. After focusing on something other than the pleasure she was experiencing from his body, she shot him a look. His face, with the exception of his eyes, was as stunning as the rest of his body. The color of his eyes frightened her. When he looked at her, she thought his eyes were black and was terrified. It seemed to her that the safest place to look at him was past his shoulder.

Inquiringly, she knelt down and inquired, "What does that mean? Instead of avoiding eye contact, why not try looking me in the eye when you speak to me?"

In her fury, she stared out the window as she turned around to face him. This was too much for her to bear. William, the Southern pack leader and alpha, had kidnapped her from her job and intended for her to be his mate.

William told Darwin to get out of the house.

A few minutes later, the door was locked shut. Despite the fact that she was unable to hear him, she was aware of his presence behind her. His breath caressed the fine hairs on her neck as he exhaled.

"I'm assuming Darwin revealed my true identity to you?" He asked.

He burst out laughing. His hand caressed her upper arm. His contact caused her arm to tingle with goose bumps. When she was near him, her nipples swelled, and the sound of his words made her pussy melt. She has no business behaving in this way. She'd never had such intense feelings for a man.

This man, William, is more than a man at all.

Taking a break from her introspection, Cristy went back to staring out the window. "Cristy, I've bite you because I chose you to be my mate."

She clenches her teeth and licks her lips. Cristy shook her head. "No, that is not feasible. That's not going to happen."

He raised the following query: "Why fight over something that is natural to us?"

She laughed heartily. She questioned, "Why fight it? There are a slew of good reasons to take action against it." Cristy was shrieking at the top of her lungs a lot. When she was anxious or felt limited, she cursed. William, who was also in possession of her.
