FROZEN HEARTS

"Wait, no." I heard Amaya say as she pushed me away.

As much as I wanted to take her then and there, I wouldn't force her to do what she wanted.

"I can't do this, not yet." Amaya said as she took a step back, inhaling deeply then holding her breath.

Goddess, I could smell her arousal. The room smelled like us. If anyone walked in here, they would think we had mated and I wouldn't have tried to change their mind.

"What do you mean?" I asked as I tried my best to calm my growing desire for her. If I had let my wolf and my desires take control, she wouldn't stand a chance.

"Things are too complicated for us." She practically whispered her words.

I couldn't help but feel frustrated, especially when I compared what she was saying with her actions. She clearly wanted me, but something was stopping her, something was pushing her away.

"Is it Ash?" I couldn't help but wonder if she was being hesitant because of her son, my nephew.
