My head hung low as the doctor continued to scold me like I was some kid. All I could mumble was "I'm sorry.
"You could have kicked the bucket if he hadn't brought you on time," he went on. "You should be thankful to him. He's the reason you are alive back then and now."
I raise my head at his words. He's right. I'm grateful he always finds me and rescues me every time but this time I didn't get drenched because I wanted to. I did it to save him. To save the man at my place, I have gotten so attached to him, I wouldn't want any harm near him. I can't let him die as my parents and uncle had died. Witnessing another death will lead me to eternal trauma.
"I know and I'm grateful to him," I smiled at the doctor. "Is he here? I wanna see him."
"I think so. He must be around somewhere in the hospital."
