Chapter 9: Rescue (1)

Henry took a deep breath of cold air. He doesn't want to hear Louis's words. It's too cruel. He couldn't imagine how miserable James and Monica were at that time. If only he was there to save them. Now, even though he was mad, he still couldn't fight back.

"You let Roy go. I'll stay here in return." Henry repeated his request once more. He was also silently calculating something in his head.

"Haha, you think I'm an idiot Henry? Let Roy go so you can counterattack freely? Haizz the truth is, I can't beat you but in terms of cunning, you are not as good as me."

After watching Roy and Henry leave, Alice was still worried. It was like there was a fire burning in her heart. She had to ask the nurse to take care of Clara for her and immediately took the car to Raymond's house - the manager of the Moonlight pack.

"Oh, why are you here at this hour Alice? Is something wrong?"

Raymond smiled at Alice standing in front of the house. He was about to invite her into the house to sit down, but was interrupted by her urgent voice:

"It's not over, Raymond. Henry and Roy went to find Louis."

"What? Why did they go there?"

"Everything I will tell you on the way. Now let's hurry up. Let's get there quickly… otherwise, the two of them will be in bad luck."

Raymond clicked his tongue and let out a lament. Then he turned went inside the house and called a few other werewolves. When he was ready, he took the car keys from the table and went to the door. Raymond saw Alice's worried expression, so he spoke to reassure her:

"Don't worry, Henry isn't that weak..."

"Okay, let's hurry."

Alice interrupted Raymond's words and dragged him by the hand towards the pickup truck parked in the yard. She knew that Henry had strength, but no matter how strong he was, he could not defeat the vast faction of witches. They are too crowded. One against ten, think with your knees to know who the loser is.

Raymond sympathized with Alice's anxiety. He started his old car and immediately sped off. The speed is quite fast compared to normal. More than fifteen minutes later Raymond and Alice ran to the area where the witches lived. The air was murkier than a graveyard. Car lights from the pickup shone in a straight line. A moving cloud of dust could be seen in front of the car's headlights. The houses around were all plunged into darkness. The wind blew sideways with a small "hissing" sound. Alice suddenly felt a chill down her spine. She unconsciously shrank back into the car seat. Eyes always looking outside the car door, mouth asking:

"What do we do now?"

"Wait for a few more people to come."

Raymond put his hand on the car door while scratching his chin as he replied. He glanced around. Less than five minutes later another car appeared. It ran to the parking lot next to the pickup truck. The three men in the car got out. Seeing them, Raymond and Alice also hurriedly got out of the car. The air was chillingly cold. Alice recognized them. Mark, Kevin, and David. All three are powerful warriors of the Moonlight pack.

"How's it going, Raymond?"

Kevin asked. He had only been briefed by Raymond just now. Seeing the manager's urgency, he knew he shouldn't ask too many questions. Then he immediately called two more of his friends and rushed here. Alice did not wait for Raymond to answer, she said:

"We talked as we walked. If you wait, there will be death."

"Okay, let's go."

Hearing that, David frowned and nodded. He was the one who volunteered to take the lead. The other four followed. Mark and Kevin are responsible for observing the surroundings. If they were to be attacked suddenly, they could still avoid it. On the way to Louis Miller's main house, Alice quickly summed up everything. Her voice almost broke into tears of worry. Raymond had to use some threatening words to reassure her.

"It's come."

David spoke softly, loud enough for the four people behind him to hear. Alice was about to say something when suddenly a "Boom" was heard. It startled her. All of them quickly hid in the dark. Their hiding place was a small street next to Louis Miller's house. From this position, they could see what was going on.

Henry is being controlled by red light magic. Countless ghosts are flying around. His large body shrank into a round mass. A groan of pain came through. Interspersed was the gloating and evil laughter of the witches.
