I walk into Wingstart and get greeted with a familiar face.

"So, what can I f*****ng get you."

Yup.. Blonde works here now apparently. This isn't even the first time i've saw her while she was working at some job.

Fifth time now?

'Is there anywhere you don't work?' I asked her.

"They're called jobs. Something a f*****ng bullock like you wouldn't know anything about." She said while looking down at the register.

'Oh right, I have a pickup for Gemini.'

"It'll be ready in five minutes. By the way I can't f****ng believe you actually got a male to be in your presence for more than ten f*****ng minutes." She said while looking directly at me.

'How do you even know about that now?'

"NEVER F*****NG MIND HOW I KNOW THAT. What do you have to say for yourself!" She lowered her voice slightly.

'Um-'

"Maybe it's high f****ng time you took a look in the mirror before you reck havoc on another person."

She then looks down then up at me

"Also, your hair is getting shaggy."

'It is?' I said in a soft tone while scratching my hair. Then I go to a seat and sit down. There wasn't anyone there but a few people waiting around in seats. I guess no one cared about the employer cursing in asterisks.

'Pick up for Gemi-hoe is ready.' I of course know who that is. I forgot she would be the one calling me.

I get up and walk over to the reception area to get your food and order.

We exchange eye contact but don't say anything. I grab my food and begin to head out. I already paid when I ordered earlier.

I walk over to my car and put the bag on the backseat, leaning sort of against my seat.

It smelled absolutely delicious. I don't get why people say Wingstart is overrated and is mediocre. I think I just have a lower sense of taste than most people...

I unlock the door then put the bag on the table. Closing it soon after that and taking my shoes off. I start to unbutton my vest and toss it to the couch. Then I go over to my bedroom to check up on Chrollo.

I crank the door open and see Chrollo awake, while having a blue notebook next to him.

Then it applied to me what the gravity of the situation was. I leave my little notebook on the bed or near it most of the time. So anyone could easily see it and just pick it up and start reading.

Hahah.... oh no....

'Hi Chrollo... I got some food for the both of us. It's in the living room. We'll uh talk once we both get there.' I said while looking at my notebook.

I didn't notice but he was also doing something on his phone. He then looked up at me.

"Good evening Gemini.. Well.. let's eat and discuss." He said while looking at me in a strange way. It's like he was mentally processing something about me.

Which means he definitely read though it.

'Chrollo, just... please don't go around looking in stuff I write in okay.... I know you were curious and it was in plain sight but still...' I said while putting my hands on my chest and putting one leg back a bit.

"I'll keep that in mind then. I hope you didn't mind me washing your sheets earlier since you proclaimed that you had "creamed" your pants a little and didn't wash the sheets. I don't know exactly what the means but I figure it's a little mess haha.' He said while giving a little smile.

"Can you explain what that exactly means though? I'm not completely fluent in English."

'Um. yeah. um. uh. um. like. like. um. it's like. like.... no.... yes... uhhhhh.' I said while moving my eyes in a 360 degree motion every millisecond.

"You shouldn't use words you don't know of Gemini.. Oh I get it, that's very embarrassing then Gemini. I didn't take you for someone who-"

'SHUT UP.. um... let's stop talking and just eat up.' I said while adverting my embarrassed gaze to the floor. Then I start to head back into the living room. Chrollo soon follows after me,

We wash our hands, then grab paper plates. Then sit down on the couch.

'Just so you know.. I bought a 16 piece, so 10 of those will go to me. Although you can just give more pieces to me and i'll gladly except!'

"Alright then, I read your handwritten note detailing what you will do when i'm asleep. Did you make any progress?"

'Chrollo, three things. Yes, I actually found where this guy should be and we're leaving out in a few hours. Two, did you get plenty of rest? Three and most importantly, I'm the type who can't eat while talking. I'll eat up fast so we can talk.' I said while having a chicken wing in hand and not moving.

"Alright then." he said before glancing down and grabbing some pieces.

I toss the plate away and grab some water to drink. Chrollo was still finishing up but he'll be done soon. Right after that, he tosses his plate in the garbage.

"You've improved your dining manners. Is it because of observing me?"

'I guess so? I think i'm starting to pick up a little from you now.' I said while raising my eyebrows up.

'Oh right, let's exchange phone numbers.'

"Right."

While still standing up, We both put our phone numbers in each other's contact list. Then we started to sit down on the couch. I was directly facing him on the opposite of the two grey, modern couches.

'To summarize, I went around in 24th residential area and found some guys. I beat up their asses and one of them tells me some info.. Have you completed most of your school work and slept for a little while?'

"I've completely approximately 93.7% of my schoolwork. Less than a hour remains and I'll be done with my current homework. Also I got around six hours of sleep. I actually woke up around 12 minutes before you came in."

'Great, you should be in condition to take a beating or two.' I said with a smirk on my face.

I then get up and sit next to Chrollo. I just need to examine if the tape is holding well and stuff.

'Alright, I need to check on the tape to see if everything is doing its job.' I said while looking at his shirt.

Chrollo takes off his shirt and I investigate.

'Looks fine, you can put the shirt back on.' I said while still looking at his chest.

My hair was leaning forward a bit because of my posture and I lowered my eyes and eyebrows.

I was thinking about how this night will end up. What the backup plan is. How likely of a trap this is. Etc.

I straightened my posture again and looked forward, directly at the monotone walls for inspiration. I keep all of the posters and artwork in my bedroom and bathroom. I should put some up in here though.

I look over and see Chrollo looking at me. Our eyes crossed destinations.

I was still lost in my labyrinth of thoughts and backups.

"Gemini, I know I haven't said this before but. You have a really gorgeous face. Especially with your dark brown eyes that are full of curiosity that blends together with your long black hair." Chrollo said while looking at me with his eyes widened.

Huh?

"Did I really say that.. pardon my sudden movements on you Gemini." He said with a slightly disappointing tone and face.

'You... really think so?' I said while my eyes widened and my eyebrows heightened.

I then grab a strand of my hair and twist it around my index finger since I didn't know how to respond. I also lowered my gaze.

"I'll apologize, Gemini. It was-"

'No, no. It's okay. I forgot the last time someone ever complimented me in a way that wasn't vague.' I look up at him with the same expression I had on but my eyes revert back to their regular size. I get my finger out my hair strand and put the hand on the couch near Chrollo.

Jeez.... I haven't gotten a legitimate compliment to my attraction in years. So I sort of stop functioning mentally because of that.

"That sucks. You may have a selfish and tempered personality, but your shyness is genuinely endearing. I like people like that. It's good to be around people who aren't the same as me socially." He said while looking back at the wall then my eyes with the second part of that message.

'T-thanks... although I don't like being shy and not being good at genuine conversations...' Chrollo is pointing out things no one ever does minus my father. People always focused on how flat my chest is, how small my butt is, how I have a bit of hair on my leg for some reason, how selfish and narcissistic my personality is, how i'm decent at killing people, how my voice sounds arrogant and cocky, how my face always has the same arrogant expression to it. but never about my interests or cute things about me... I feel tingly...

"You can use shyness to your advantage. You're very soothing and relaxing to be around, you're a good listener, you also make better decisions in general because of you thinking more about the benefits and consequences.. I could go on but you get the point."

I feel guilty... Also that shyness sometimes is borderline social anxiety but if people like Chrollo are my friends.. then maybe I can get over it.. Sort of...

I lean over and hug Chrollo. He hugs me back me. We don't exchange any words after that. The sun was starting to rise from behind me. The orange light was shining on the two of us. I physically felt warmer as the rest of the apartment got darker around us.

Such warmth.. such compassion...

I just want to never let go of this warmth.

It's like a classical painting.

A beautiful and bright painting.

Showing the most important concept in the light.

Basking in the sun's light.

Everything seems to stop.

Just like a painting.

Three minutes go by and I back up. My face felt relaxed. My eyelashes cover my eyes. My eyebrows lowered. My pursed lips were idle.

Chrollo looks at me with a similar expression. Is this what peace looks like?

I smile with my lips still closed and eyes become even more narrow. I get tingling from my stomach.

The sun was starting to dim rapidly and soon we would have to turn the lights on to see.

We still have around a hour until we would have to leave out. Less than that since I want to get there early.

I look back up and Chrollo looks at the flat screen TV that I have in my living room.

Oh right, now is probably the time to tell him.

'Chrollo, you can take a warm shower now. I'll warm it up.'

"Thank you."

I start to walk over to the bathroom, turning on all the lights in my apartment in the process. Then turning the silver nob until it was getting decently hot. I Went back into the living room to tell Chrollo and he stands up and heads to the bathroom. I then sit down in the couch, grab the remote, and start watching TV.

I'm oddly fulfilled. Neat.

This night will definitely be interesting though.
