Chapter Two

Today was the happiest day as we gathered round the majestic glittery hall as Mrs Akira made an announcement concerning the resignation of Mr Gabriel as cries of happiness resounded round the hall

"I know some of you are happy,but Mr Ferdinand over here will be taking over" she continued as she looked at the man next to her.after much introduction we were finally dismissed

" Best news ever " i yelled jumping up happily as we made our way to the school stadium

" But don't you want to know why he resigned" said Zina with her eyebrows raise

"Don't know Don't care" i replied with a shrug

"Yeahhh what's there to know?" asked Tiana "at least he won't be here to make college life hell" she completed

"You're just saying that because he was diligent in his work" Zina said as she increase her steps

"What's with you and Mr Gabriel " yelled Tiana as she move her fiery hair away from her eyes

"Oh now you think there's something between me and him because i defended him" asked Zina as she spined around facing us with a glare

"Calm down" i said trying to diffuse the tension " Tiana was just joking"

"Oh i was not" replied Tiana as she glared back at Zina " we always seem to fight when it come to Mr Gabriel and i don't know why"

"Maybe it's because he is a good man,but you guys can't see that " she yelled flapping her hands around

" I thought that after yesterday fiasco you must have gotten your senses back,but i was wrong" yelled Tiana as she moved closer to Zina

"And i thought that after yesterday's event,you must have had a rethink,guess i was wrong to" Yelled Zina as she shoved Tiana away from her

"Don't think i am Carly that you can push around" Tiana said as she pushed back with Zina hitting her back on the wall

"You know what? To hell with you" Yelled Zina as she moved away from the wall walking away

"Yeah keep walking" yelled Tiana with her middle finger pointed at Zina's back

"What just happened?" I asked reeling from the shock

"What happen is that Zina is no longer our friend" replied Tiana as she grabbed her ipad from her locker " I don't think i can be able to go to the stadium,see you later Carly" stated Tiana as she plugged in her earpiece walking away

"Bye" i yelled as i made my way towards the music room ,i walked over to where the guitars were kept grabbed one walking toward a chair as i sang the lyrics to 'Hello' by Adele while i string my cord

They said that times suppose to heal ya...🎵

I sang as i play my guitar recalling today's and yesterday event,music always helps me whenever i am sad.

The door quietly swung open revealing Zack as he slowly walked in shutting the door behind him gently so as not to disturb Carly as he watched and listened . 'she is good' he thought with a smile

But it done matter cause clearly it doesn't tear you apart🎵 i sang in a high voice as i played my guitar

"Woww that was nice" yelled Zack with a whooping noise as he clapped for me.

"Zack?" I yelled in shock" when did you get here? And how did you know i would be here?" I asked quite shock to see him

"I've been here for some minutes " he replied sitting down beside me " just didn't want to disturb you,and i knew you would be here" he stated looking at me.

"How was it?" I asked

'it was magnificent,you have such a lovely voice" he answered holding my hands which rested on the guitar

"Thanks" i said with a blush looking away

"You don't have to be shy,we are friends" he muttered turning me to him

"Thanks.its just i think Tiana arguing with Zina was somehow my fault" i said tears polling in my eyes

"Hey hey hey" he said softly wiping my eyes with his thumb "what happened wasn't your fault"

"I don't know but it just feels like it" i muttered standing up

"No.. don't do that to yourself " he said as he stood up walking towards me

"Can you go. I need to be alone" i said softly looking at him

"Sure but if you need everything you have my number" he said as he walked towards the door,gave me a warm smile before going out.

After listening and hearing nothing,i walked over to a chair landing on it with a thud as i cried out with my head bent, i slowly raise my hand to my mouth to muffle my cries as it grew louder.

"I thought i told you to leave?" I yelled immediately i heard the door open

"Opps..am sorry i didn't know it was preoccupied" he said

My head shot up as i heard the strange yet familiar voice "you?" I whisper yelled as my mouth flung open

"Me" he replied with a smirk visibly on his face

"What are you doing here?" I asked as i turned away from him wiping my tears

"Just came here to relaxed" he replied 'are you okay?" He asked standing in front of me

"What?" I gasped wondering how he got there

" I asked if you are okay,and yeah i walked to you" he said with a laugh

" Duhh i know you walked " i replied gently pushing him away from me as he laughed " I'm fine.its nothing stop looking at me like that" i continued when he gave me a knowing smirk

"Am just worried" he replied with a sigh

"Why?you don't even know me" I yelled as tears gathered in my eyes

" Then let me know you" he said coming closer

"Why?" i asked softly

"Like i said I'm worried" he replied

"That's not an answer" i stated giving him a duh face

"I trully am worried but maybe part of it is because i like you" he said holding my hand

"What? You know what I can't deal with this i need to go" i replied tugging my hand away from him as i ran to the door

"I am serious,and i will always be here to prove how serious i am" he yelled as i ran towards the hall way bumping into someone " am sorry" i whisper as i got my balance

"Are you okay?" The voice asked

"Sorry just need i go" i said as i ran until i was finally outside Campus ground,i hail a cab

"Hernandez resident please" i said as i got into the back seat of the cab

"Right away ma'am" the driver of maybe thirty replied as he input the address on his map and then zoomed off filling his GPS.

'what's wrong with him,deciding today of all days to confess,and we barely talk much' my eyes closed thinking about the conversation in the music room.

'No no no I can't think about this now ' i quietly said shaking my head

"We are here ma'am" the driver said after some time

"Thank you" i said coming out of the cab " here you go" i handed him fifty dollars

"No ma'am it's too much" he replied shaking his head

"Just take it as your tip" i said my hand still streched out to him

" Thank you ma'am" he replied collecting the money zooming off.

I walked over to our gate , inputting the code as the gate slide open then hurried inside passing several beautiful flower bed which consist of tulip,rose and beautiful purple habiscus all thanks to my mum.i swung the door opened

"Am home" i yelled as i walked over to the fridge grabbed a chocolate ice cream and walked over to the kitchen counter as i took big scoop of ice cream

"This is what i need" i thought as i savour the taste humming in delight

"Where is everybody?" I asked as i looked around the empty home

"Mom....Freddi" i yelled toward the parlour with my ice cream on my hand

"Sis.youre back" a young boy with auburn hair and golden eyes said as he ran towards me

"Freddi" i said happily as i hugged him "where is mum?and let me guess you just finished playing video games?"

"Yes and Mum went groceries shopping " he said moving away from me with a cheeky grin on his face

"Okay.so how was school?" I asked as i sat down looking at him as i scooped my ice cream

"School was fine,miara said she likes me" he said with a blush as he sat beside me.Miara a year younger than freddi with black curly hair and brown eyes and also Freddi's best friend

"So what did you say or do?" I asked already imagining what my sweet little brother must have done

"I yelled and ran away" he replied looking away from me with his hands covering his face "stop laughing" he reprimanded when he saw me laughing

"I am sorry,that.was.the.most.adorable.response" i said in-between laughter as i scoop the last ice cream

"I'm going to my room" he yelled and ran upstairs

"Now i have to make peace offering " i said with a sign as i stood up from my chair throwing the finished ice cream cup away then went upstairs taking one step at a time until i got in front of a door written 'Freddi's room.Keep away'

'Freddi open up" i said with a knock

"Freddi am sorry for laughing" i said after i had gotten no response "please open up". The door creak as it sprang open revealing Freddi with a grim look on his face

"Thanks" i said as i got in,i made my way to his sporty bed

"Am sorry for laughing at you" i said looking at him at the far end with a pout on my face "forgive me?"

"You promise you won't laugh at me again?" He asked his doe eyes staring up at me

"Cross my heart and hope to die" i replied as i did the sign of the cross "come here" i motion,my arms open as he crawl on the bed towards me.

"As i was saying ,after she told me she liked me i ran,and since then i have been avoiding her" He said sitting up straight "i don't know what to do,i need my best friend back" he continued crying softly

"Am sure if you explain how you feel she will understand afterall she is your best friend and should know you more" i answered wuth a smile on my face.

"Thanks sis,i will tell her what you told me tomorrow " he said "you're the best" he yelled with a smile on his cute little face.

"I try my best" i said my face heating up "okay,time to do your homework" i said standing up from the bed and towards the door "I'll come check on you later" i continued shutting the door behind me as i made my way to the kitchen. I heard the door creak as it swung open revealing my Mum and two of her bodyguards carrying grocery bags

"Mum. you're back" i got up from the kitchen counter as i ran towards her,taking the bags from her

"Thanks sweetie" Mrs Hernandez said smiling "So how was College,and when are you going to move away?" She asked with a playful grin on her face

"Never,that was why i choose a college closer to home" i answered shaking my head as i checked what was inside the bags

"Thank you ,you can go back to your duties" Said my mum to the guards who bowed and left " stop scattering and arrange" she yelled hitting me with a spatula

"Ouch...The yelling was enough" i yelled with a pout on my face

"For you it wasn't " she said "where us your brother?"

"In his room doing his homework" i answered as i went about removing the yogurts,ice creams, tomatoes,milk,

"Arrange those things, don't just keep them in the fridge" she yelled looking at me

"Gotcha" i replied as i carefully kept them where they were suppose to be

"I need to get started on dinner" she said already taking out the pan

"And i need to go check on my baby bro" i said as i snuck in three wraps of orios and two cartoon of orange juice and headed upstairs

"Hey bro" i said walking over to his desk where he was sitted "here you go,you deserved a break" i said handing him two wraps of orios and an orange juice

"Thanks sis" he said with smiles on his face

"Let me see what you have done so far" i said as i flip through his assignment book "nice" i replied

"I don't go to the most sort out grade school for nothing you know?" He asked with a smirk

"Why ,you?" I whispered yelled ruffling his hair "Gotta go help mum in cooking okay?" I asked

"Sure,go on ahead" he replied as he tore through his second wraps of Orios

"Thanks" i said kissing him on the head then made my way to his door then downstair and finally towards the kitchen where Mum was already frying the Chicken

"Mum,i came to help" i said walking towards her

"Good, help me grab the source on the top shelf" She said turning the Chicken the other side

"Sure" i said, grabbing the source and giving her "anything?" I asked

"Just help me cut the Cabbage" she said as she sprinkled the source on the Chicken

"Done" i said after some minutes "when is Dad coming back?"

"Oh Darling your Dad's gonna be late" she replied wiping her greesy hands on her Apron

"Okay,i will wait for him" i said and headed upstairs, straight towards my room,banging the door shut.
