Chapter 6: The First Obstacle

[Azure Kingdom, Sky Castle]

Inside the huge throne room, Asagi was currently going on a face to face with Gabriel who she just had newly summoned from the system

At once within Gabriel's swift command of thought, he then casually conjured his very own armor all over his body, which made him look even more like a general than Michael

With a grin showing his canine tooth he then greeted Asagi

"Sky Queen Asagi... or should I call you High Sky Queen Asagi? Perhaps you prefer absolute ruler?"

Hearing that Asagi mentioned her composure of a dignified person as she replied from her throne

"You can call me anything you like, but I prefer Sky Queen since I'm quite used to such calling"

With that kind of reply, Gabriel then knelt on one knee before her as he said

"Then Sky Queen it is... my name is Gabriel, use me however you like"

At that Asagi then swiftly said

"Well there is a reason why I summoned you here, in fact its because Michael is gonna get busy at this moment due to having his own subjects under him"

"Michael? It seems im not the first summon your majesty made?" Asks Gabriel

"Well yes your right! I summoned you here to atleast share some of his work, so that load for you both will be lighter" answered Asagi

With that kind of answer Gabriel then slowly stood up as he confirmed one fact

"I can understand that your majesty! But when you said subject, does that mean that Michael person has a troops under him?"

"Well yes! Those troops are also newly summoned just like you, does that thick you off?" Asks Asagi

"Oh not at all your majesty! In fact I just wished that maybe at the future, you could provide me some subjects under me, since I'm also your general"

Hearing his words Asagi simply nodded at it as she replied

"I'll think about it! But for now you need to prove yourself first"

"Understood your majesty"

With that both Asagi and Gabriel talked all day as they waited for Michael to return from his assistance towards his own subjects

Soon after for what seems like an hour and a half, Michael then returned back to the throne room only to notice another presence inside the room

In swift action he then turned his head towards the window beside the throne room and saw Gabriel waving at him with a smile

Seeing that, Michael then concluded that Asagi must have summoned another servant, thus he didn't post a question which he already guessed

"Your majesty! I have returned, but I never expected you to summon another servant"

Hearing that Asagi simply gave him a wry smile as she said

"Well I couldn't help it! But anyway you've got yourself a co-worker, an another general class type servant"

Afterwards Asagi walked down from her throne and led Michael towards Gabriel, just like that both of them came face to face with each other, while Asagi introduced them

"Michael this is Gabriel, Gabriel this is Michael, from now onwards both of you would have to work together"

Hearing her Michael simply glanced towards Gabriel as he observed him from head to toe as if he's assessing his worth, of course the latter was also doing this to the former, thus ended up in a long session of observing

Soon afyer for what seems like a few minutes Michael greeted Gabriel

"Nice to meet you! I'm Michael the very first summon of her majesty!"

With that Gabriel greeted back with a smile

"I can't believe you put so much importance on arrangements, well anyway I'm Gabriel the second summon of her majesty, ill prove to her that I'm better than you in terms of leading, so you better watch your back"

"Hoho! I can't believe the newbie is such a competitive person, being in the lead is really a thrill" said Michael with a smile

"Well its quite nice if I have something like a goal right?" Asks Gabriel with a cheeky grin

"Indeed"

Seeing both of them seemingly understanding each other, Asagi simply smiled in between as she hopped off her location and went out towards the garden

But before she could leave, she of course reminded Michael of the thing she was about to do out of habit

"Michael! I'm gonna spread my wings for a bit! So I'll fly off for quite some time later, I'll leave the management of the whole castle to you guys"

Hearing her Michael simply nodded in understanding, as he knew it was bad for once health if one is cooped up inside a room without ever going out

One need to have a healthy lifestyle so Michael always reminded Asagi to stretch out her wings from time to time while the sun is still out

As for Gabriel om the other hand, he couldn't help but be confused on Michael's lax in this kind of situation, after all

Asagi is the current ruler of this kingdom in the sky, thus its only natural for one to have guards following her for safety

"Is it alright for her to be alone out there?" Asks Gabriel as he saw off Asagi who went out of the throne room

"It will be fine! You'll get used to it, plus our little queen is much stronger than you think, despite her appearance"

Hearing that Gabriel couldn't help but be confused of Michael's words as he asked

"Despite her appearance? Are you telling me our queen is watching stronger than we expected?"

At that Michael simply laughed it off as he patted Gabriel's shoulder while stating a little fact

"Have you heard of the term feisty little monsters? Don't judge a book by its cover Gabriel! Or else you would see yourself totally humiliated"

With that Michael waved his hand up into the air as he left the room with only Gabriel being left inside, in that moment Gabriel's life in that kingdom will start with multiple questions in his head

Leaving all the matters of the castle to both Michael and Gabriel's hands, Asagi then silently flew off into the sky from the castle's garden, as she oversee her whole kingdom from above

Just like she expected, the whole kingdom itself have totally grown from just a simple stand alone castle, to a castle with houses and forest around it

No matter where she looks, she could see that the land was distributed evenly on all sides thus forming one huge circle if seen from above

Even though she lacks any kind of residents for now, she knew that it won't be long till her kingdom will be thriving with people that came from all direction of the world

But she wasn't in a hurry to develop her kingdom at all due to some reasons only known to her

Thinking it up till that point, she then flew down slowly unto one of the rooftop of a tower which is part of her castle and sitted down as she wrapped her whole arms around her knees

Feeling the breeze of the air brush past her face, she couldn't help but reminisce her past life and wondered whether she could feel this same way back on her old world

Different from earth, this world who's name she still doesn't know have a clearer sky, atmosphere, and wind, it was so refreshing that it almost actually lack of carbon

Unlike this world, earth isn't pure at all in terms of its agriculture, especially the case for their atmosphere, with the industrialization on the move, more of earth's resources is being depleted in every innovation that the humans think off, thus the once plenty air filter of the earth, is now being reduced into mere few patches of green seen around the world

This world however is like the younger version of the earth, where everything was clean and almost no flaws at all

The resources of this world doesn't rely solely on the condition of its planet alone, but rather also relies on the mana of the world

If the stories in theories were true about the conspiration that a world tree exist in every living world, then perhaps the world tree also exist in this world and the sole giver of mana

They say that a world tree can grow way higher than the heavens, which is quite amazing in terms of its size, but nevertheless it hasn't proven by any researchers nor scientist at all

With all of her work being pushed away to her servants, Asagi was then completely free of her troubles as she slowly closed her eyes and doze off her memories back in her childhood days

During that time was Christmas eve and there was a certain show quite popular during that time around the children's circle, of course Asagi herself wasn't exempted from that

At that time she was still living with her parents at the age of 7, at that time her parents were still alive, and living happily together with her on Christmas eve

Soon she could clearly see her mother holding unto her cold little hands as she smiled gently and asked her for her bucket wish list for Christmas

[Asagi's Mother:" Asagi dear! What do you want for this Christmas?"]

[Asagi:" Me? I wanted to have my very own castle and be its sole queen"]

[Asagi's Mother:" Queen? You don't want to be a princess?"]

[Asagi:" No! Being a Queen is much more convenient for managing a castle, also my castle isn't ordinary at all, I want it to fly into the sky above and own the whole sky"]

[Asagi's Mother:" Well that sounds lovely, I even want to join you on that"]

[Asagi:" Dont worry Mother! I'll bring you along and be my guest in my own castle, i guarantee that I'll take care of you"]

[Asagi's Mother:" Oh my! Well I'll be expecting that"]

In that moment she then opened up her eyes only to find herself reminiscing her past as a tear fell down her cheeks upon remembering her memories with her loved ones

Looking at her situation now and her words back to her mother on that Christmas eve, she couldn't help but pursed her lips in sorrow as she held herself tight and try to speak out the words that seemed to be stuck on her throat

"I have a castle which is floating in the sky just like I wanted mother, I just wish that you were here"

Unknown to her Michael had actually secretly followed her out of curiosity for what she's doing and unexpectedly

he actually heard all that she said and had concluded that perhaps, somewhere in Asagi's heart she's been longing for home

Of course he knew that for the past week, Asagi hadn't given up in finding a way back home, even though he don't know where Asagi's home is whether it is on another planet or realm, all he had to do at that moment was to support her

Bearing that as his responsibility, he then silently left her alone as she returned back down towards the garden, just in time when Gabriel had seen him landed

Seeing Michael's solemn expression and somewhat feeling complex emotion, Gabriel simply stayed silent as he moved out of his way while crossing his arms over his chest

Of course Michael never actually expected Gabriel to just stay silent, thus when he passed by him he then asked

"Arent you going to ask something?"

Hearing that Gabriel turned his head towards his direction as he replied

"Im not the kind of person who would pry on others business you know"

Upon receiving that kind of answer Michael was somehow taken aback before he completely left the place and roam the castle

As for Gabriel himself, he then looked at Michael's departing figure, before looking out towards the garden area, with a sigh he then decided to leave as he went inside the castle

With that the day had then passed without anything unusual happening and this goes on till one week had passed, which is exactly a month had been since Asagi arrived in this world

At the start of a new month, Asagi then suddenly woke up in a alarming state as the system sounded the emergency signal for everyone inside the kingdom to notice

Unexpectedly everyone was then riled up in that morning as they got up quickly and puts on their gear while heading towards the throne room for some orders or actions from their queen

At the same time as Asagi woke up from her huge soft bed in alarm, a system notification then arrived before her
