Lucas Morningstar

Ding-!

A loud mechanical bell chime rang in my ears awakening me from slumber.

'Does someone has a death wish or what?' I thought to myself as I lethargically got up.

I rubbed my hazy eyes and carefully scouted my surroundings through my bleary eyes. My entire body was stiff as if I had been sleeping for days and my head ached a lot.

I found myself in a one-bedroom apartment which was quite clean and had a luxurious interior. It was far cry from the room I was familiar with.

Wait a second...Headache? Stiffness? Didn't I die though?

Memories of what happened right before I died came flooding into my head causing me to frown.

To me make sure that I wasn't hallucinating I pinched my cheek.

"That's odd, I shouldn't be remembering my past life." I said to myself as I looked around my room. Whatever happening to me right now was abnormal. But it was clear that this was the reality and certainly not a dream. Moreover, memories were still flowing into my head causing me a mild headache.

I strolled around the room which was filled with the scent of lavender room freshener and grabbed a book from a bookshelf beside my bed.

Just as I was about to read the contents of a random page I opened in the book there was an another mechanical bell sound.

Ding-!

I looked towards the source of the sound only to see a blue translucent screen appear in my vision with another bell chime.

Ding-!

"What the hell is this?" I spoke out loud not understanding the scene in front of me.

Is this really my next life? Maybe this is all an hallucination?  I thought to myself since even after regaining all my memories I couldn't explain the phenomenon happening in front of me.

I decided that I needed more information before I start making any conclusions. Just then I remembered about the I was holding and looked at its cover.

The title [Global Military Academy: Course 1] was printed on the book's cover.

Military Academy? I was puzzled at the unfamiliar words that sounded like a title from a fantasy Korean novel. If I interpret in those novel terms, then this would be a possession and the holographic image in front of me would be a status screen.

I walked towards my desk at the corner of the room which had a mirror attached to it.

After I stood in front of the silver-bordered mirror and gazed at my reflection in the mirror, a slight groan escaped my lips.

"Ugh.."

I clutched my head with both hands as the another headache assaulted accompanied by another wave of memories flooding into my head. No more like awakening from within my mind.

I continued to look at my reflection in the mirror which was the trigger for this headache. I had pale skin, as white as snow, that emphasized my merlot-red eyes. My previous dark black hair was replaced by shiny silver-white hair and my body was a bit small and less firm than in my previous life.

I wore a black shirt with white buttons paired with a plain black jogger. The sleeves of my shirt were folded back and buttons were left open until my collarbone was visible. Even with poor fashion sense I could tell that this was a weird combo.

Little by little all of the memories had reawakened and now I had a clear idea about the current situation. There were the memories of two people within me. One was of the Lucas Morningstar while the other was of Vincent Frost.

I've been reborn.

To be precise, the memories from my previous life as the Vincent Frost awakened in the Lucas Morningstar.

I had two pressing questions regarding this situation: One, Why did I regain my memories from previous life? Two, Why at this point of time?

If you think about it, regaining your past life memories doesn't real. Even though reincarnation sounds plausible, reincarnating with your memories is something that only happens in fantasy.

Even if we believe in the possibility of having memories from your past life, it would be more convincing if I had regained my memories during infancy not in my teenage.

Well, even though I am curious about the answers to these questions I am in no rush to find out quickly. I walked back towards my bed and sat at the edge as I began thinking about my current situation.

"Ehehehe~"

I unconsciously let out a soft giggle.

....Yes, I was laughing.

Why?

Because this situation is soo exciting.

The headaches accompanied with my memories awakening was a clear sign that someone has either messed with my mind or my soul or even both. Just thinking about uncovering the mysteries regarding this unknown person makes my blood boil.

In my previous life I had everything I could have asked for. Wealth, Fame, Power, Authority or anything else for that matter was easily obtainable with just a few words of mine. The life I had to live to achieve those things was certainly thrilling at first but as time went by I began to lose my emotions and everything from that point was bland.

Perhaps it is because of the human emotions I had as Lucas Morningstar that I am able to feel a little excited for the first time in a while. But it wont be long before I lose my emotions again since that is who I am 'a cold-blooded monster'.

After that I began to reminisce the life I had lived until now since I had a near perfect memory. I Lucas Morningstar belonged to one of the ruling families― the elite house of Morningstars, also known as the House of The Wolves.

I was one of the second-born twins of General Reynold Morningstar.

I was pathetically weak person who used to do whatever I wanted due to my backing.

This was further fueled by my father who kept on suppressing several of my small crimes committed by me in the past.

It was not because that bastard of a father loved me or anything. On the contrary, he neglected me and treated me indifferently.

All he did was to preserve the name of his family.

In short, Lucas was just a disgrace to the Morningstar family.

Before coming to this Global city, I was excommunicated by my father.

It was at that moment a disturbing memory came to my mind. The sight of me trying to assault a girl. I clenched fists tightly that they started to tremble. If there was one thing that I hated the most in my previous life than that was disrespecting women. I committed one of the worst crimes I could ever imagine.
