the alliance-the truth revealed - Gared and drew Aftermath
The rest of the trip to the other side of the world went by without a hitch and soon they were in a whole new world. Where they could make a fresh start.
The sun was just starting to set when they arrived but the sky was still bright. They had a lot of time so they decided to walk around the city and look at what it had to offer. There were people everywhere! It seemed like a street party was going on and it was the most exciting thing that Gared had seen in a long time.
Soon the sun disappeared and night fell
It was an amazing sight and they were glad that they had chosen to be there at that moment. The streets were dark but the city was full of life. The whole place felt like a fairy tale. It made him think about fairytales for some reason and he couldn't help but smile at the thought. It was a good day.
They continued to walk around and explore the city They didn't have a map so they just followed their noses and let their eyes lead them astray. They walked for hours before they realized that they had a new home!
It was a mansion!
The house was huge and it was the fanciest part of the city. They were thrilled at first but soon they grew tired and decided to go to bed.
It was late and they had a long day ahead of them tomorrow. They had to go to the Grand Alliance HQ and hopefully speak to the leader of the whole thing.
They went up to their room and got ready for bed. They looked in the mirror and were impressed with how good they looked together.
"You clean up pretty well," Gared told him
"Thanks"
"You're welcome"
They went to their separate beds and quickly fell asleep.
They woke up the next morning refreshed and ready for their day ahead.
After getting ready they went downstairs and found that there was something different about the house. It felt more... safe.
"Is this place haunted?" Drew asked him
"No" Gared replied
The world around them
Was changing and fixing it up its self
Rebuilding updating
Being reshaped for better things
"I like this place"
"Me too"
Soon the day came for them to meet with the leader of the Grand Alliance. They met in the large conference room downstairs. They were the first ones to arrive so they had the place to themselves.
"Wow" Gared whispered
"Yeah" Drew replied
Soon the rest of the leaders arrived and they all took their seats.
"So what's going on?" Drew asked
"You have noticed how there are things that are different and some things that shouldn't be there are?-that's because of the anomaly- that was caused by the three of us
Me Lucy and you-
I wish that you weren't a part of it but you were but unlike they make you believe it isn't your fault- it was mine and you were the main victim- and lucy is one as well- but I can not reveal who she works for
Because that is my job
I hate keeping it a secret from you- but- the reason you hated her- or disliked her was that you two are enemies
You work for two different corporations that go against each other well I am just meant to protect her- I was ordered to kill you-but then I ended up falling for you- but my plan was still in motion- I had a script to follow-I knew that lucy would active the bomb on accident
I planned it all-but I couldn't finish the job- I couldn't let you die- I didn't care if those were my orders- I love you too much-
I had to save you-"
Gared was crying.
"Lucy wouldn't have done that-" Drew replied
"Drew don't talk like you know- you know nothing about her
And like me- she has orders she has to follow- and she couldn't follow them because of me and if I didn't save you she would have been killed too" He replied
Drew wrapped his arms around him
"I never would've doubted you"
The crying continued.
Soon the meeting started and Gared and Drew sat quietly listening.
"We're here to discuss the anomalies that have been happening and if the ones responsible deserve to be punished or not-"
"Oh that's not the issue"
"Gared was it?"
He looked up at her.
"There are no monsters"
"There are and I have evidence"
She held up Lucy's profile
It showed that she wasn't completely human and that there was a beast inside her
Gared's eyes widen
"This is why you wanted her protected?"
"Your mission was to keep it at bay but now there is no saving her she can be brought back but she will not be the same-
Of course, you still have time until then-but this is only the beginning-"
Gared and Drew looked at each other
They had no idea what that meant
Soon the meeting ended and they all left the room.
"So what's next?" Gared asked
"Why do you keep all this information from me? What kind of danger is Lucy in?
What is her mission?" he asked
"It's classified" Gared replied
"Classified?" he replied
"Yes" Gared replied
"What is the harm in telling me?" he replied
"You were close to death before- do you want something like that again? But I can tell you the mission that she succeeded in" Gared replied
"But wasn't the mission failed?" he replied
"not in my book-she still brought us together-
I had asked for her to if it weren't for her we wouldn't have ended up together- I gave her that mission-" Gared replied
"Her mission was to bring us together? But the mission failed?" Drew replied
"The mission failed because of me but it was still successful in the end because we have each other now-" He replied
Drew thought for a moment "So she failed because she couldn't finish the mission but that's only because of me?
If I hadn't gotten hurt she would have-" Drew replied
"No Drew" he replied
"It's true, isn't it? She would have been hurt wouldn't she?"
"Yes-and neither of you deserved that- it should have been me that was punished- not you- and I failed because of you- I failed because of my stupid feelings"
Drew's eyes widened
"So did I-"
"Yes" he replied
"But we still love each other" Drew replied
"Yes we do" he replied
"So Lucy isn't a monster-" Drew replied
"No she isn't" he replied
"She isn't evil-" Drew replied
"No and neither are you" he replied
"I don't know what I am but I know that I love you" Drew replied
Drew pulled him close to him and kissed him
"I love you too" Gared replied
kissing him back passionately
