Chapter 49

Kelani's POV

I wasn't ready to go in.

I was scared out of my mind. What would Draco say? How would he react?

What do I even say to him, how can I explain?

"The longer you stand outside wondering what if, is the more you're gonna want to run," Alana says from behind me and I sigh, turning the knob. It was eerily silent, the TV subtly playing in the background, I step inside completely.

"Tequila?" Alana calls, and I bite my lip as fast footsteps and a loud crash following it as Tequila enters the living room, her eyes wide.

"Oh... Oh, Kehlani." She breathes, pulling me into her chest, and I resist the urge to cry. "It's okay sweety. It's alright." We stay like that for a moment before letting me go and wiping her own tears. She looks at me sadly before stepping away. "He's upstairs."

Gulping, I nod, taking a deep breath as I passed the help, sending them small smiles. His door wasn't closed, wide open in fact, and I stood like a coward as his back stayed facing me.
