Year 2013, On one of London's streets,

"What is the situation here, sergeant?" Henry Dean, a chief inspector in London, asked a sergeant in a crime scene after looking around. Cheif Henry was having headaches those few days because of the new serial killer, who was roaming the streets of London. "Did you clear the crime scene?"

Sergeant Emma James turned around to look at the chief who had just arrived at the scene preparing to give her report. Emma had followed Henry in tracking this serial killer, and she was the second most involved person in this case. "Yes, chief. We are now collecting evidence, but it is likely the smiling Max who did it. His signatures are over the place, and he was the most active killer nowadays."

"That motherfucker, how can we not have any lead to him, even after all this time? Is he a ghost or something? How can he escape every time like this? Damn, I regret taking charge of this case," Henry said with a complicated expression on his face as he looked at the dead female student on the ground. His heart hurt him every time he saw this scene, and he did not see it only once but many. "How many did that shit kill until now? The higher-ups are asking me for answers, and I don't have anything to give them."

"This is the seventy-six victim that died on his hand, sir. All of them are females between the age of nineteen and thirty-five years old. He killed men too, but it seemed that he killed those because they tried to stop him from kidnapping those women. The problem is that he did not just kill them, but those men who stopped him had it hard, even in their death, because Max cut them into parts before leaving his signatures. Everyone in London is afraid to go outside," Said Emma with a heavy expression on her face with some tears in her eyes. She hated that Max because of what he did to those girls. She did not think that any man in his right state of mind could do those things. "He even raped those girls before killing them."

"What a headache? I need to drink something," Said Henry with a gloomy expression before going to the nearby bar to drink something. That was his way of doing things when he came to a tough case. He could not think of anything without a drink in his hand.

Emma did not say anything because she knew the chief way of doing things. That did not mean that she thought that was right because she knew drinking during their working time could lead to a disaster, but chief Henry was one of the best inspectors in the city. Emma asked the other sergeants and constables to continue their work before following Henry.

"A glass of Bitter, please." Said Henry as he took a seat in the pub while thinking of a solution to this problem. He had come up with many ideas, but all of them failed miserably to catch that Max. He could not think of anything that could help them any longer. Whenever his plans fucked up to get Max, Max would start a massacre where dozens would die. "What do you think, Emma?"

"He must have a man inside," Emma said with a sad expression on her face. The chief had thought of something like that before, but they could not get any clue after months of investigations. Emma seemed a little hesitant before opening her mouth to speak. "I have a plan, chief. But I don't know if it could work."

"Say it," Henry said as he turned to Emma to hear her little plan. After listening to her words, Henry had to say this plan could succeed. He thought of this before, but he could not find someone brave enough to do this job. If the plan failed, they might lose another person to that madman. And if Max found out about them trying to get him again, he would start another massacre.

In one of the offices belonging to the victim support,

A young man in his twenties was working non-stop taking care of the victim's families with a smile on his face. He was talking to a young lady whose daughter had died at the hands of the serial killers a month ago. This old lady liked to come to this office and talk with this young man specifically because she found some consolation in her heart when she spoke about her daughter in front of him.

"I am sorry for your loss, Mrs.Hill. I wish I got to know your daughter after hearing how amazing she was. Please, take care of yourself," Joey Clark said as he patted the old woman on her back before sending her away. After coming back, he prepared to leave the office since he finished his work for the day.

"Leaving already, Joey," Summer Wills said as she came close to Joey while laughing. This girl had a crush on Joey for two years. She continued to work here because she wanted to get close to him, but Joey was not into any kind of relationship because he was a victim himself when he was young. That was why Joey worked here. "Can you give me a ride today as well?"

"Sure," Joey smiled as he left the office with Summer, but before he got out, he heard the police report about the murder case.

"Another talented young woman, Aimee Rees, was killed today at the hands of the serial killer, the smiling Max. We ask every woman to take care while traveling alone.

In another direction, Emma Fox, a young athlete from London, broke the world record for five thousand meters long run," The reporter said as she read the most important news.

After hearing those words, Joey's eyes shined a little before continuing on his way to his car with Summer. It did not take long before Joey arrived at his house. He did not stop for a second before going to the basement.

The basement did not look like anything a normal man could have. It was filled with tools that would make any normal man vomit. The torture tools and the different types of knives were enough to tell that this man smiling and joking with everyone was a killer or a madman.

"Let's start the hunt," Joey said with a sadistic and sinister smile on his face as he held one of the knives in his hand before licking it with his tongue.

Joey Clark was a man that was born to a wealthy family and had everything that he wanted in his childhood. But everything changed when he was fourteen years old. Because of his family's wealth, a gang waited for him one day in front of his school. When they saw him coming out of the school, they waited until he got in his family's car and moved a little away.

When they reached across, they got down and killed the guard and the driver before kidnapping the young Joey. Joey's father did not like it when he got the threat from the gang and tried to delay paying them the money. Of course, he thought that they would not harm his son because they wanted his money.

But this was not how this gang worked, and some perverted man who liked to hear the children's scream did not like how Joey's father, Joseph, tried to play with them. For more than a month, Joey experienced hell at the hand of that gangster, and he did not have any more tears. In the end, he stopped crying and buried himself in his mind.

Because of all the things that he went through in his teenage, Joey built a strong mind where he could hide himself and his real emotions. He could always act calm even if he saw his arm get cut without even shedding a tear or opening his mouth. What happened next was due to his emotionless character.

The only emotion he could feel was happiness when he killed or tortured people. And he started doing the things in secret, developing this hoppy of his until he got found out by his father, who locked him up in his room for more than half a year.

The first thing that Joey did after his father allowed him to leave his room was killing his father after torturing him to death. The smiling Max, the serial killer, started his legacy at this point when Joey made his father the first victim. Joey did not feel anything but good when he did those things to his father. Joey did not stop and started learning many things that could help him. Joey even decided to work with the police in the victim support office. After killing his fifth victim, he found more joy in killing the young people before turning to the talented ones after his tenth victim. In the end, he decided to go after females because he could rape them before killing them.

After seeing the news report about Emma Fox, he decided on his next victim. After preparing his mask and his tools, he turned to leave his house after finding her destination through his resources.
