seems like peak masters gain a rudimentary spiritual sense after breakthrough, maybe that's why young-hoon is asking him to do the opposite which will make him enter the peak realm.

meh, at this point it just feels like author is delaying it for shock factor or something.

another thing I am finding frustrating is that he is not even trying to increase his talent. It not possible for there to not be a method or medicine to increase talent, its like author is going to only use the time rewind and nothing else, which kind of feels stupid.
