Emergency quests are like random encounters inside the R*nescape game, but in the Harry Potter verse, these emergency quests are divided into two types. The first type is the quests that pop up due to an event of the main storyline. These quests generally will give quest point upon completion along with its rewards.

On the other hand, there are quests that are given when encountering events that have nothing to do with the main Harry Potter verse storyline. These quests don't provide quest points as a reward, but still gives plentiful rewards before disappearing like a random encounter.

An example of this type of quest would be the ambush at Hogsmeade. Pro also got another quest of this type when he encountered the kidnappers. However, his encounter with the dark wizards was actually a storyline quest!

[Dark Hands] You heard the discussion of two dark wizards. There seems to be a conspiracy and it has something to do with a person named Lucius. Find and meet Lucius.

Staring at this quest, Pro already had an inkling about what the quest was about.

"It seems I have clearly stumbled upon something to do with Lucius Malfoy, and it might lead to the events of the second year of Hogwarts. Perhaps, this is the time that Lucius was selling his dark magic items before his lair got raided?"

Still, Pro had no way to complete the quest at the moment. Probably the closest time he could complete the first step of this quest would be at Diagon Alley when Harry visits it later. It seems that he must write to Harry and schedule to meet up to purchase school supplies.

"Well, I'll write to him after he is saved from his room by the Weasleys," Pro decided as he moved on to his other rewards.

Pro had received a quest called 'Escape from the Mercenaries' when he encountered the kidnappers. It seems that they may not be normal kidnappers, but the system didn't have a follow-up quest so Pro didn't spend more time pondering over the secrets behind this.

Pro was happy with the rewards. It gave a hefty amount of XP for his strength, attack, and block skills. He hasn't been training them, but this event raised his strength from 30 to 31 and his block from 20 to 21. On a side note, his combat level is now 31.

Finally, there was an extra emergency quest called 'Underage Magic Error' which required Pro to solve the misunderstanding for the usage of underage magic of a wizard or witch that was affected by it. If this was following the main storyline, Pro might have to help Harry solve this issue, but Pro managed to complete this quest by helping Hermione.

Honestly, it wasn't too difficult. Perhaps, the Ministry of Magic would only bite onto the person like a rapid dog only if his name was Harry Potter. As for the still under the radar Hermione Granger, the Ministry of Magic easily let her go with the intervention of an employee, Pro's father.

With the completion of this quest, Pro surprisingly got a reward of 1000 galleons and 1000 magic XP, bringing his magic level up to level 29. This unlocked the general counter-spell and transfiguration spell, Reparifarge, which is used to counter the effects of a transfiguration spell.

After nodding in satisfaction, Pro finally focused his attention on his housing contract in his inventory. He had already saved 5000 galleons by borrowing from his parents, and now he had an extra 1000 galleons which is more than enough savings to unlock his house.

"Finally, let's purchase my first house. I wonder how much difference there is between this house and the Runescape housing system."

Using the contract, the familiar housing prompt popped up, but this time, it was a confirmation of purchase because he had enough money this time.

[Ding! It was detected that the host has not purchased a player-owned house. Housing contract can be used to purchase a house with a basic cost of 5000 galleons. (6015/5000)

[Host has sufficient galleons to use the housing contract. Confirm purchase of player-owned house?]

"Yes."

[Ding! Deducting 5000 galleons ... housing contract has been used ... generating house ... generation completed. House portal has been added to inventory.]

[Congratulations! You have completed First House Quest. You are awarded: 1 Quest Point, 100 Construction XP, House Portal, House Options Menu]

[Ding! New quest, First Room, has been added to quest list.]

There wasn't much fantastical effects. It was simply a bunch of system prompts in the chat box and the housing contract being replaced by a housing portal. Pro was a bit disappointed, but he still anticipated what is to come. The first step was to check out the house portal.

[House Portal] This item can be placed in the real world. After being placed, it can be used as an entrance and the exit for host's player-owned house. Only those with permission to enter the house can interact with the portal. This item is intangible and invisible to everything else. When the player-owned house is empty of living beings, this item can be picked up at the cost of 100 galleons.

"Oh! Unlike the game where the house portals are fixed in certain locations, it seems that I can select where the entrance to my house will be. The portal is also hidden by something similar to a Fidelius Charm, but more powerful. Even if the location gets leaked, my house will be safe as long as I haven't given permission from the house options menu."

With a hint of anticipation, Pro then quickly decided where to place his house portal, against the empty wall of his room. After all, the portal can still be moved afterwards albeit with a cost, so Pro can place it without worries.

With a thought, Pro saw a hologram materialize in the direction his hands was pointing. The image of the hologram was a large purple portal wrapped by rocks. With a grin, Pro carefully aimed his hands to set the hologram at his intended location. Then, with a thought, he tap the confirm button to place the portal.

Pro then watched in amazement as the house portal swiftly materialize into reality besides his room door. Clapping his hands with excitement, Pro took a step forward and interacted with the portal for the first time.

Of course, no screen popped up for visiting a friend's house. Pro simply silently disappeared from his room, leaving a glowing, purple portal behind.

Whoosh! Opening his eyes, Pro found himself in a small garden with lush green grass. There was also a couple of small oak trees and sparse plants decorating the area. He was now standing in front of the exit portal that was at the center of this small garden.

Sweeping his eyes around, Pro noticed an empty, lush field that seems to extend infinitely into the distance. However, when Pro wanted to walk out to explore, he was actually blocked by an invisible barrier.

"Unlike the game, it seems that I am only allowed to step into areas that belong to my house. I also start with a garden which is the default, but there is nothing else."

Pro was a bit disappointed as his house was too bland. Still, it was a safe area for him, which is a good thing.

"Well, let's see if I can build my first room. After all, I do hope to have more space."

Switching to build mode, Pro saw holographic doors appear on four sides of the garden. Walking up to these doors, a menu would pop up to show all the rooms he can currently build. With level 2 construction, he only had access to the parlour and garden blueprints, both of which costs 1000 galleons each.

"Well, a parlour is better than nothing," Pro muttered and chose to building his first room on the north side.

Pro then watched the wooden walls of a room materialize into existence. Clunks and thuds were heard from behind the wall for a while before everything fell silent. It didn't take long for a double door to appear at the center of the wall.

[Congratulations! You have completed First Room Quest. You are awarded: 1 Quest Point, 200 Construction XP, Apparate to House]

With a smile, Pro turned off build mode and reached out his hand. With a shove, Pro pushed open the door and stepped into the empty wooden room with a total of three double doors, one on each side except for the wall facing the door he just entered through. As expected, there was no furnishing in the room.

Turning on build mode showed all the locations he could build at; however, Pro noticed that the two other doors in the parlour didn't have an interaction for building. When he tried to push open those doors, he got a system notification.

[Ding! To unlock this area, please upgrade player-owned house to level 2.]

Raising his eyebrow, Pro pondered for a bit before he came up with a guess, "Well, it seems that I will need more housing contracts to upgrade my house in the future to unlock more rooms. Also, it seems I will need to build all these furnishing on my own. Or maybe I will need to simply import some from outside."

Walking back to the garden, Pro discovered that he could still build a new room in the other three directions of the garden. It seems that his house starts out with a plus sign as the default building area. After not seeing anything else interesting, Pro then spent some time and began to test out the other functions of his house.

The exit portal functions properly like expected, and there was no limit to entering and exiting. Unlike the game, Pro could also leave items inside his player-owned house and they won't disappear, but there is a restriction based on the room type.

For example, if Pro dropped a pen in the garden, it would automatically be sent back to his inventory once he left the house, but if he dropped the same pen inside his parlour, it would lay on the ground until he picks it back up. After a couple of tests, Pro discovered that the garden only stores garden objects and plants while the parlour can store books, stationary, and most small indoor decorative items. However, clothes, money, electronics, equipments, and food can't be stored in the parlour or garden.

"It seems that certain rooms must be unlocked to store certain items. Great. Another money pit and I am already deep in debt."

Still, Pro won't complain about an extra storage space. However, it would be messy if he just dumps everything in here. Also, it won't be as convenient to access the items if he stored it inside his house.

Pro also discovered that he can move the house-bound plants inside his garden, but can't bring them out nor move them into a different room. A small area around the exit portal also had a barrier to prevent the plants and items from staying there.

Finally, Pro decided to test his new 'Apparate to House' spell in his apparition spellbook. It was also restricted like his other apparition spellbook spells, and it teleported him next to his exit portal in the garden as expected.

With this test, Pro had already came up with a good plan to grind money over the summer.

"With a teleport to my house and a teleport to Hogsmeade, it seems I can try sneaking into Hogwarts' Room of Requirements to find treasures to sell!"

Of course, this was a bit risky, but Pro still planned to test it out later. After all, he was now a poor man with only 15 galleons, 421 sickels, and 632 knuts. He also still had a debt to pay even though his father said he didn't have to. Even if he doesn't pay his debt, he needs the money for more rooms.

"Well, this summer will be more busy than expected. Grind for more money, prepare items to save myself from the basilisk, vaccinate Hermione against Lockhart, train my skill levels, and more. Hopefully I still have time to keep up with my studies ... "
