*Morpheus pov*
I sat on top of my bed why chin resting on my intricately locked fingers, a frown gently forming on my face.
Alrazad, if he's already on earth that means he convinced a human to summon him. Which means he took the time to transport his cunning voice beyond the veil.
Usually, Alrazad waits for the veil to weaken and then travels to earth, or he waits for a strong enough wizard to summon him using a powerful ritual. With him being here now and in America he most likely knows I'm here and in Hogwarts.
His method of getting information is astoundingly strong.
Sadly, he has something I want and to trade for it I must give up something in return.
Alazard isn't a simple demon, he is cunning beyond belief, and he rarely ever makes a deal that isn't in his favor. The last time we traded was when I did something I maybe shouldn't have done. Since then I have used his ritual twice and both times he didn't answer my call from hell.
But, this time he is on earth his body is too weak to resist the ritual. That's why he is in America.
While I thought about Alazard Negary crowed once more, this time I smiled. It seems the Angels also are around, Negary picked up a couple of Angelic auras when searching for demonic ones.
The thing most don't understand about Angels is the fact that they aren't the ones described in Holy Scripture. There is no Lucifer or God at least that I know of, everyone has a right to their beliefs.
But these two races are just that; a different type of magical creature.
Angels are tricky, some are as pure as can be benevolent in nature; and some worse than the foulest creature you can think of.
Their egos, that was the worst part about them they thought of themselves above everyone else.
Shaking my head and dispersing the distracting thoughts I stood from my bed and went to my desk. Opening the drawer I pulled out a stone tablet.
It was the same stone tablet that Negary brought me before winter break. This was important but, sometimes one has to make sacrifices and today is that day I make one.
If this is the war that ends it all I must go all out and leave nothing up to chance, I must seize every opportunity I can and this is one such opportunity.
I laughed aloud, "Alrazad, do not disappoint me,"
I will summon him tonight, and I will use the chamber of secrets. The chamber was specifically made by Salazar with the function in mind to allow him to perform a vast amount of rituals and experiments.
When I was down there last I noticed the wards were still intact, well the wards I need. Once activated they will isolate the chamber from the rest of the castle, allowing for complete secrecy in my ritual.
*Narrator pov*
Inside the Chamber of Secrets, the air was thick with an eerie, ancient magic. The walls were lined with serpentine carvings, and the soft, echoing sound of dripping water added to the mystique of the place. In the dim light, a cloaked figure, the pale wizard Morpheus, stood before a massive stone altar.
Morpheus began to set up an intricate ritual. He carefully arranged candles in a circle around the altar, their flames casting flickering shadows that danced upon the chamber's walls. He then laid out an assortment of rare and exotic ingredients, including crushed moonstone, powdered phoenix feathers, and a vial of dragon's breath.
As the candles flickered, Alaric chanted incantations in a long-forgotten language, each word resonating with power. Symbols and runes glowed around the altar, and the air grew charged with energy. Alaric traced intricate patterns in the air with his wand, directing the flow of magic towards the center of the altar.
At the climax of the ritual, Morpheus raised a crystal amulet high above the altar. The amulet refracted the candlelight into a dazzling array of colors, and as he brought it down, a swirling vortex of energy formed above the stone. From within the vortex, a shadowy figure, a skinny humanoid figure began to materialize.
Morpheus's heart raced in excitement as he completed the ritual. The figure, a blood-red-skinned creature with glowing yellow eyes slowly stood atop the Alter.
The demon looked around before locking eyes with Morpheus, a scowl immediately appeared on the demon's face.
"You DARE!" the demon roared in anger
"AFTER WHAT YOU DID!" the demon roared trying to rush forward but it was as if it hit a barrier
The demon frowned and roared in anger.
"Calm down Alrazad," Morpheus said calmly
"Calm down? The last time you stuck me In a ritual like this to make a 'deal' my heart was ripped from my chest!" Alrazad snarled
Morpheus shrugged, "You lived,"
"Barely, I was lucky enough to find my kin!" Alrazad replied seething in anger
Morpheus just smiled softly, "Anyways, I have summoned you to make a deal,"
"No, my kin already hate me enough you are on the no-deals list. Every race crammed into the veil has made it clear if I trade with you my life is over," Alrazad replied a little calmer now
"So don't tell them," Morpheus replied calmly while walking closer to the outer line of the ritual
"It's not that easy, and even if I could trade with you I wouldn't, I wish with every fiber of my being you die a painful death," Alrazad laughed darkly at Morpheus
Morpheus looked amused, "I guess you don't want this then, I'll just send you back," he took out the stone tablet and fiddled with it
Alrazad's dark smile faded instantly, "You bastard," he muttered softly
"Your 'kin' sure has trouble keeping track of important items," Morpheus chuckled darkly
"What do you want for the slate," Alrazad said darkly he wasn't in the mood for Morpheus's antics tonight
"Nothing major, just the Ruby. I know you have it and I also know you haven't touched it," Morpheus replied with a soft dreamy smile
"Impossible, that Ruby cannot be given to you of all people!" Alrazad replied darkly
"Why not? You don't use it in fear of its corruption and the thought that the one that shares my name will hunt you down, he already hates me taking it off your hands will be a favor," Morpheus replied with a smile
"The slate isn't valuable enough to trade for the dream Ruby!" Alrazad said
"We both know it is; the slate can do the very thing you desire most. To be able to travel freely through the veil at any moment," Morpheus countered
"I don't understand you Morpheus, you are willing to give me the slate something that could help my race invade your home for power? What happened to the man that would do anything to stop that? Pathetic," Alrazad sneered seeing he couldn't bargain for more
Morpheus laughed, "Do you want to do the trade or not? This item can get you back into the good graces of your kin,"
Alrazad fell silent.
"I will do the trade; give me the slate so I can return and get the Ruby," Alrazad said softly
Morpheus shook his head, "do you take me for a fool? I know you can get it without having to go back to hell, let's make this deal and in three days I will call you back the trade will happen then,"
Alrazad went quiet before saying, "Fine, I Alrazad demon of deals, collector of all things mystic strike a deal with Morpheus, in three days I will trade the Ruby of dreams for the slate of travel,"
Morpheus nodded in acceptance, "I Morpheus the mad wizard , the executioner, the one who sees all accept this trade,"
