Fail and Water

It had been a few days since the launch of the game. During those days, other than morning training and rune study, all Adam did was play games in his room.

He played with George whenever the butler was free. When I was alone at home, I played alone. It was like a child who had just received a new present.

Oliver came over to talk to him a few times, and they played a game or two. The visits were mainly to talk about the success that today was being.

''It's an absolute hit.'' He said, as he played a character card. ''If we keep this up, we'll need a new stock soon.''

Adam listened and made his move before answering. ''In a few days, I'll have a form so that the energy runes can be charged without my presence.''

''Oh really ? '' Asked Oliver excitedly. '' With that in hand, we can expand sales to other countries, I'm sure we would sell millions of copies that way.''

''Yes'' Adam nodded.

In the little time he'd spent studying runes these last few days, he'd been working on creating a large core that could serve as a place to carry the other runes.

The problem was that he was still having difficulty getting the rune to absorb the magic energy from the environment.

While I couldn't solve this problem, I would need to reload manually.

Oliver didn't stay much longer at the mansion. Adam told him that from now on, Oliver could pass the reports on to George.

''It won't be long before school starts again,'' sighed Adam, putting the game away. ''First I'm going to finish creating this giant rune of energy. And make some preparations before classes start. ''

Adam knew that this year, the dangers that would surround Hogwarts were those involving the chamber of secrets.

''A basilisk and a horcrux diary.'' He murmured with a smile. ''Welcome to Hogwarts, Britain's best and safest wizarding school.''

Laughing, he grabbed his briefcase and headed for the training room. ''Nothing like being the only school in the country…''

With the events that took place every year at Hogwarts, being the only school was the only reason to hold these titles.

Adam wasn't worried about being attacked by the basilisk, he was a pureblood. Of course, there was a chance that he would bump into the giant snake in the hallways and end up being a victim. But the chances were very low.

''If I stay out of trouble, I can end the year without even seeing the basilisk's tail'' Adam, said those words with a wide smile on his face, he knew himself. It was impossible, that he had no interest in what was to come this year.

''Something that hatches from a chicken's egg hatched by a toad, and a diary that holds a wizard's soul and memories? I would be a fool not to want them.''

Every moment Adam had thoughts of magical experiments, his mind came up with crazy ideas.

'Maybe I can make a basilisk too? No, no, that's illegal.' He shook his head, as if dismissing the idea, but the glint that passed through his eyes was still there.

Adam spent the next few days working on the energy rune, when he finished he had created five of them, and they were all already charged with his magic.

After asking George to send them to Oliver, he finally had time to finish his preparation.

Adam was in front of a mirror, wearing only his underwear. His body with small muscles drew a little attention, but even though he had trained his body for a long time, he was only eleven and the muscles were just 'visible.'

'So, will I be able to imitate shape-shifters, or will I have to use enchantments and spells?' He remembered the great ability that this type of wizards has.

''Maybe I should get one to run tests later.'' He muttered. Studying a metamorphmage seemed like a good idea.

''Come on. Enough stalling.'' He said concentrating.

Adam closed his eyes and felt the magical energy in his body, following his will the energy focused on his hand.

It was difficult at first, and he could feel that if he pushed harder, his hand would explode.

'' Less concentrated energy and more dispersed … ''

He withdrew the excess energy and gradually added it, first he pushed all the magic up to his little finger, and when he felt it was 'full' he stopped.

Adam kept his eyes closed and tried to feel his finger, he wanted to feel every part of it. With little time he could feel his skin, muscle, fat, bone, even the blood that circulated.

When he felt enough, he gave the command for his magic to move his finger. It wasn't a direct movement command for the finger, but rather for the pure magic within.

Adam felt the energy respond and 'take over' the finger, then he felt a funny sensation. It was as if his finger was being controlled by someone else. Feeling finger move, he managed a smile, which quickly faded.

''That was — AHHHHHH, fuck!!!, damn!! Motherfucker.''

Adam fell to his knees clutching his hand, screaming and cursing, his eyes watered, and he wanted to cry. Blood trickled down his hands.

He had never felt so much pain, since he arrived in this world he became practically untouchable. The most pain he felt was from magical exhaustion.

But there was no way to compare, maybe it was because he hadn't suffered anything in those eleven years, but at that moment he thought he had seen the light at the end of the tunnel.

Some time passed before he learned to resist the pain.

Trembling, Adam plucked up courage and moved his hand to see the damage.

''My poor finger… '' He said, with a hoarse voice, when he saw his little finger on his right hand, or what was left of it.

His whole finger was broken, there was a fracture and the bone was sticking out of the flesh, it was ugly, and it looked painful, the skin was hanging off and the blood was oozing nonstop.

''Water, my friend,'' I said, running to the bathroom. ''Please help me one more time, okay? ''

Adam spoke to the water as if it were alive. He felt that the wind was alive, and he could tell that the water was the same. At that moment of distress, all I wanted was for the healing powers of water to be more than just recovering energy.

Unreservedly, he dipped his hand in the water and hoped his finger would heal.

''Nothing?'' he murmured when he didn't see the finger heal.

Then he had a thought.'' Maybe I should me connect with the water? How did I do with the wind? ''

This was something he should have tried a long time ago. But since the water always healed him, he already thought of it as if he were making his special move. Forgetting that he could connect with .

What Adam hadn't realized was that his finger almost didn't hurt anymore, and that from the moment he put his hand in the water his wounds were healing, very slowly, but they were.

Unaware of this, Adam closed his eyes, tried to feel the water, his magic trying to connect with the water.

Interestingly, he didn't find it too difficult before he felt a response, but it wasn't from the water, and not from his own body.

Unlike when he connected with the wind, he didn't go into a trance this time, maybe because he didn't really connect with the water, so he could think while maintaining the initial connection.

'Why can I feel my body?' If he asked, he could feel that the water was serving as a connection between the energy coming out of his body and himself.

''It's almost as if I can touch the energy itself.'' He observed, curiously. The feeling he felt from the water now was that it was more than just water. It was almost like it was condensed energy.

''it's good... cozy''

Although he could feel the energy within his body and the magical energies close to him, or even when it fused with the wind, it was always a sensation.

But now, it was as if it touched the energy at its core.

''No, it's still not right…'' He murmured, frowning.

He had long since forgotten that his finger was injured. Adam was like that, whenever he found something new involving magic aroused his curiosity.

''I definitely didn't connect with the water. And although it seems, I'm not really tapping into pure energy… ''

''No, maybe I connected a little bit with the water, and that's why I can feel my hand... Like when I connect with the wind and feel everything it touches... ''

The more he spoke, the more confused he became. But I thought I had an answer to the first question.

Why, he can feel his body in the water.

''Although I didn't have a special connection, like when I connected with the wind for the first time at the top of the Astronomy tower, I managed to inject my magic into that small amount of water. Thus creating something close to my wind locating magic.''

He didn't know if it made sense, but that's what he thought had happened.

"But why does the water look so different? '' Wondering that, he opened his eyes.

The moment he saw the water, his eyes widened. The water didn't just feel different in feel, its appearance had changed.

''How beautiful… '' He murmured delightedly.

Water sparkled a crystalline blue and was brilliant.

Looking out over the water, Adam ended up looking down at his injured finger, and what he saw made him stunned.

He was healed, completely healed.

He took his hand out of the water and looked carefully at his finger, not even a single mark remained.

''It looks even whiter than before…'' He murmured, and out of the corner of his eye he saw that the water was losing its brilliant color.

From the moment Adam broke the connection between the water and his magic, the water returned to normal.

''My pure magic changed the water…'' He murmured, and checked his reserves of magical energy.'' Almost half gone… ''

Adam sighed at his magical reserves, any comparison to other wizards, even those older than he was. He would have a great level of magical energy.

But for things involving the elements and ancient magic, it always seemed so little...

''No, I'm thinking wrong'' He put his hand in the water, remembering what had just happened.

''It's fair. For what can I do…"

It was just a wild guess, and he would run more tests, but if the water with its magic, it really healed the rebound he suffered in his finger. Was there anything it couldn't heal?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Author's words:

One question, do you want the games he released and will launch, as well as books, to be linked to his real identity, Adam Davies? Or do you prefer a secret identity?

Yes, he will have a secret identity in the future.

For this specific game I was in doubt, the thing with the runes is something far ahead of what is current in the magic society. What do you think ?

This chapter was a little shorter, and I didn't have much time to plan it, I just wrote it, and I'll post it soon.

In the next few days I don't know if there will be chapters, I'm going to have a tight week, and I don't want to deliver something terrible. Mainly because your feedback is very positive, and to keep the story in the same rhythm I need to think before I write, hahaha.

I wasn't going to introduce the water now. It was actually going to be a thing for the future, but I decided to tackle it now, so I could write something I had in mind for the first legacy, second year at Hogwarts...

Thanks for reading.
