Harem God: Leveling Up Yanderes in the Apocalypse

In 2077, the gods sent potential successors across the cosmos to Earth for the God Trial. The result: the apocalypse and the rise of history’s most unlikely Harem God candidate. Leon Traxler was a sociopath with a phobia of using women for sexual desires. Yet he chose the power to build an overpowered harem because finding strong, loyal companions during the apocalypse was unlikely. It was a calculated decision, but he got something he hadn’t bargained for. Emotions. With a power that leveled him up through emotional milestones and a system that made him feel them for members, he quickly amassed power and decided that the apocalypse was a blast. Driven by a desire to make his violent yanderes happy, a love for animal ears on women, and a narcissistic wet dream to be the only man on earth, he decided to partake in the God Trial. His strategy? To raise an army of women, build a city for his harem, and start a cultured civilization that would naturally end when he died. Join Leon as he becomes a celebrity on god social media, rises to power on earth, and lives life as a playboy in the apocalypse. —Story Notes— - If you like the story, check out my new story, My Yandere Harem, for ultimate yandere destruction. - Leon's technically a psychopath, hiding his lack of emotions behind a false, normal image. He's ruthless to men. - His phobia is the driving factor that makes women comfortable joining his city. Think about it. - The story starts delightfully chaotic but quickly matures into a real story. - There's strong character development before it's lemon picking season. No one-dimensional women. - There will be lemons. Truckloads.

Road to Paradise

Breakfast was a cultured event that Earth had never experienced before.

250 women picked up premade plates of food developed by the cooking team and enjoyed it with satisfied expressions.

During that period, everyone laughed and told stories about their wild party the night before.

Almost half of the—now—277 people present were not from Earth, so they were squealing in delight over Earthian food.

The same was true of Earthians, who tasted dishes from other worlds because the gods gave food supplies in the Sanctuary that all people could recognize.

As a result, it became a spectacular event that was good for everyone.

Over a hundred new people had come to the party. Watching their faces at breakfast, Leon was certain that most of the newcomers would join as haremites.

Once they were done eating, Leon stood up, and the area fell quiet in anticipation of his words.

"Alright, let's get started! Many might think I'm a lazy playboy. That's not true." Leon chuckled, "I'm not lazy."

The atmosphere was warped by the strange insinuation that seemingly contradicted his personality.

Leon chuckled and gave them all a devious expression.

"It's not easy picking up women; if you don't believe me, that's okay.

Just hold off reservations until you finish your first day on the job."

A chuckle.

Then another.

Two accompanied them.

Suddenly the area burst into laughter.

"Jokes aside, that will be most of your job for the foreseeable future." Leon chuckled.

"For those who don't want to fight or be in danger, plenty of work is available since we can specialize.

We'll need a team to do the cooking and cleanup. Another team must prepare for our trip out of here, gather supplies, and prepare routes.

We need coordinators and those who specialize in women's care. We need someone that can coordinate therapy sessions for all of our women. It's a miracle opportunity.

While many of us quickly adapted, I'm sure everyone has seen enough in the last three days to change them."

Countless women's eyes sparkled at the admission. Many women spent the party in solitude and only gave up their panties for free ones, knowing Leon wasn't trying to take advantage of them.

Hearing that they could get negative experiences out of their mind was a dream.

"For everyone else, we'll need scouters to find women on both sides trying to reach the Lemmox Sanctuary and people with defensive magic to protect them.

We need attack and retrieval squads. Lastly, the heavy hitters will join a team headed by me.

The most prevalent and important teams will be the women protection teams that will protect our women from Sanctuary groups seeking retaliation.

We can expect them to be our most pressing foes.

So expect to be on one of those teams if you're willing to fight. Our lives are more important than new women.

Lastly, we need all of the tamers in our attack squads. We'll provide you with full defense; your skills are vital."

Cynthia, the elvish woman with silver hair and amethyst eyes, raised her hand.

"Sir. Traxler, what about women traveling with men?"

Leon nodded to signify his understanding.

"First, know that our goal is not to save women in exchange for recruitment. Our goal is to save women if we can, so they have the opportunity to join us later." He clarified.

"We will not save men until there is a strategic reason to do so.

If a party of twenty is 50% female, it may be in our best interest to protect them until they reach the Sanctuary.

However, if there are twenty women with one man who is grossly overpowered, don't try saving them.

Get us. If the man's evil, Caitlyn will rip out his heart and save the group of women.

If he's not, there's no reason to get physical. We'll let him die of a broken heart when his women leave to join us after getting here."

The women burst into laughter after his remark.

"Okay. Let's start building teams. We'll start work in an hour." Leon announced.

"Although we're strong, we are still in the apocalypse.

So please take your job seriously and protect each other. I don't want any reported casualties today!"

—8:50 am. Sanctuary Barrier facing Kaskmont—

"What the hell is that?" Lindy asked with an irked expression.

"I don't know. Let's take a look." Caitlyn said.

He nodded, and the group flew into the sky.

With Reina gone, it was much easier to fly. Lindy was holstered to Caitlyn's chest like a toddler.

She didn't like feeling like she was on a rollercoaster. However, she couldn't care less because of what she was looking at.

The ten-mile strip that separated Lemmox and Kaskmont was reduced to rubble the day before.

Caitlyn demolished the area so thoroughly that the gods deemed it impossible to cross and called off the match.

Two titans, candidates of Atlas and Cronus, cleared out rubble the day before. Since the area was nothing but rubble, the titans cleared out [everything].

Now the group was staring at a post-apocalyptic death strip of dirt walled in by 100-foot piles of mangled city debris.

The [walls] were made up of buildings, trains, light posts, bridges, and anything else one could find in a city kicked into arbitrary piles by two titans.

The only thing visible from the road was black billowing smoke coming over the wreckage. So those on the road could barely see the sun over the walls and black fumes signifying a fire on the other side.

It was a highway through hell. Anyone who saw the road knew there was a 5% chance of getting to the Sanctuary alive.

Worse, Leon and Caitlyn could see what was over the [walls] from the skies.

Death.

The titans created 50-foot trenches and lit them on fire on each side.

On one side was the debris that separated the trench from the road. On the other side was an army of beasts, demons, insects, flying creatures, and oversized reptiles.

Luckily, the other entrance to Lemmox was closed off for the day, so they didn't have to worry about the nightmare before them and the other side.

"Why would they do this?" Lindy growled, "Getting to the Sanctuary is now impossible without us."

"Exactly. I think that the gods are making this into an event." Leon chuckled bitterly.

The gods have helped him considerably, so he was a fan of their [events]. However, he knew that nothing good would come from this event.

Leon pulled up his interface to check their position.

Note: The protection increases were calculated by forecasting the number of innocent survivors and candidates the people would have killed in the next two hours and adding them to the total.

Leon blinked twice.

"How did we protect another 269 people but only help 1 person?" He asked in confusion.

"Oh… yeah. So that metric involves the expected amount of people a person would have killed before dying." Lindy explained.

"Caitlyn killed everyone. The one person she saved was you.

In short, it proves that metric has nothing to do with saving people."

Leon chuckled with an evil glint flashing through his eyes.

Ding!

God's Announcement! New Special Event: Road to Paradise

Event Duration: 14 hours

Event Start: 11 am

-

Event Details:

To the south of the Lemmox Sanctuary is a safe zone with a ten-mile diameter.

It currently contains 500 male and 500 female mortal survivors, previously protected by the gods. It also contains 312 female candidates and 723 male candidates.

Only one road leads from the south safe zone into Lemmox Sanctuary.

Currently, it has no candidates, survivors, monsters, demons, or barriers barring travel.

The goal of the humanoid candidates and survivors is to reach Lemmox in two hours.

After two hours, the road will become open to all predatory beings and demons in the area.

There are large fire trenches that stand between the creatures and the road.

The goal of the predatory beings and demons is to make it over the trenches, scale the ruins, and make it to the other side.

If humanoids discard the mortal survivors and do not fight with each other, the event will be over in 30 minutes or less.

Good luck.

"Yup, they're fucked." Leon laughed while closing his interface.

"Who's fucked?" Caitlyn asked.

"The survivors." He replied calmly.

Chapter length has returned to a reasonable level. By other author's standards, yesterday had an extra three chapters. XD
