A Day Out (1)

"Kenji-Kun are you going out today?" Izza asks with a curious tone in her voice.

"I'll probably go out for a little bit." I respond while shifting my gaze towards the window.

I've always hated going into the town but there is some stuff I want to check out myself. Some shops that have caught my eye for awhile now but I'm not sure I'll buy anything.

Swords have never been my type so that's out of the question and bows just take time to use.

Magic has always been my strong suit and my dad told me a long time ago that our magic is quite strong. I've not used too much magic yet but the times I did, it was crazy.

I've left quite a bit of damage behind when practicing before but luckily it's been on the land we own. Don't need nobles or even just the knights coming around bothering me about what I'm doing.

"That's good. Fresh air is always nice." Izza says while gazing out the window.

I got so lost in thought I didn't even see her get up.

"True. Why don't you come with me today then." I respond with an encouraging voice.

"Um if that's okay... Then I'd love to." She says with worried voice.

"Of course." I reply with a positive voice.

So just like that I helped clean up and then we left the manor, off to the town. I felt like it would be fair to bring her out so usually that's what I did on nice days.

People wouldn't do anything to her since she's with me but I do still keep an eye on everyone around me. I learned how to fight over the years so I got that covered, Dad knew a lot about martial arts so he showed me a lot.

Now I'm quite good in fighting and some magic but I've got a lot to learn in that field.

"The towns always lively." Izza says while standing close to me.

"It is, but we should be careful." I reply while looking ahead.

Ahead of us was the town known as Minver, which was a pretty known town due to some of the famous shops around here. Most having to do with ancient knowledge or even some magic books.

Not everyone is capable of learning magic without books and it's quite a common thing honestly. But I was lucky enough to get by without needing books.

But the town before us had plenty of shops and of course houses on the outskirts where the people lived if they didn't live within the town. It wasn't run down very much because they did well to maintain everything.

It was definitely a nice site to see, except for one place which was the adventurers guild. One of the biggest attractions here since they didn't have these just everywhere.

Most were in big towns or kingdoms themselves but I hated them. It's just another way for the kings to send off people to do their bidding without expending his knights.

Even if the people benefit from the rewards of these guilds it just seems dumb to me. Not everyone sees it this way though so they can do what they want.

"As amazing as ever." Izza says while in awe.

Sigh.

"What's wrong Kenji?" Izza questions with a concerned voice.

"Nothing just thinking." I answer while looking around.

We wandered around the town for a bit until finally I saw a shop worth looking in, it was a clothing store where I was planning to get an outfit made.

Something for the day I decide to go out on my own adventure.

As we entered the clothing store or tailor as it's commonly called, there was a few other people inside. One particular girl caught my attention and it was one with short pink hair that only went a little above her shoulders, green eyes, and of course she wore royal clothes.

A dress of sorts maybe, I'm not the best when it comes to girls like that.

But I ignored her for the moment and walked up to the counter where a burly man with no hair on his head was. He seemed like a nice man, he dressed quite nicely and even seemed to have a respectful demeanor about him.

"Excuse me sir, I'd like to put in a request for an outfit." I say with a respectful tone in my voice.

"What kind of outfit are ya looking for?" He asks with a strange accent.

"I'd preferably like a coat with a hood that can cover my face, a nice leather one if possible, and some black pants as well." I request while taking out my coins.

"Sounds like an adventurer. Sure I can do that." The man answers while giving me an odd stare.

He seemed more confused about why a beast girl was with me but as long as he didn't say anything bad we'd be okay.

"How much will that cost?" I ask while looking at my coins.

"6 Tinzer coins." He answers.

"Of course, here you go." I say while putting the coins down on the counter.

"Alright, come back tomorrow and I'll have it ready." He replies before heading into the back.

Before heading out the shop I heard the girls talking to the girl from before. I couldn't help but look once more, her beauty was definitely a sight to behold.

"Lady Riyori are you ready to go?" A man in knight armor says.

He didn't seem like any ordinary knight though, more like a royal guard if anything.

I'll remember that name for later if there even is a later on. She's got quite a figure as well but I doubt I'd even be able to get close to someone like her.

"Um..Kenji that girl is staring at you." Izza Whispers to me.

"It's okay, let's get going." I say quietly as we exit the shop.

Time to head back to the manor, I've been in this town long enough.
