Chapter 3 – The Thing That He Lost

'A mission?' Akira had an interest in this thing. He was a boss, a giant boss to be precise. It's been tens of years since the last time he got something like order or assignment. Usually, everything he does is all coming from himself, not from others.

But now, he didn't know anything about this world. He lacks information. So, he thinks that following the system would be the best course of action.

He didn't know where the Castle Town is, but he just needs to find a village to ask the villager there about the direction to Castle Town. It's the capital of a Kingdom! So, he didn't think there is a village where no one in that village knows the direction of the capital. At least one person should know where it is.

Unless...they were not in the Melromarc Kingdom right now, but were on another kingdom.

'System, what country we're in right now?' Akira asks anxiously, if he's in another country, it would take long to reach his destination.

Akira then felt someone tugging his clothes from behind.

"Master, let's do what the system said. We can do it slowly. If your wish is a happy and fun life. Then I will even destroy the world to make it happen!" He looked back and see Abby smiling at him.

"I'm happy about what you've just said, I'll just hope that you didn't need to destroy the world." There is a hidden meaning behind his last sentences. A hidden meaning that only they both know. Abby just smiles and nodded cutely at her master. He didn't prohibit her!

Akira didn't know, that a part of him has been erased by god. A part that made him called an international hero on earth but also a part that will prevent him from getting a happy and fun life. A part, that cared for people, especially those that didn't have anything to do with him.

Akira then proceeds on his journey to get out of the forest slowly with Abby, walking beside him. While they were walking through the forest, the encounter many monsters.

Abby is a Foreigner class. Most of the monsters in the forest are of berserker class and her attack will deal double the damage when attacking them. The beast will be considered a different class if they used a weapon and mastered it. The example is the goblin archer. It knows how to use a bow but didn't master it. The goblin just randomly shoots arrows at Abby without proper technique.

As for Akira, he didn't kill anything. No, he CAN'T kill anything. Even when he used the legendary Aegislash sword, Abby didn't let him to be in any kind of danger. Before he could move, the monster will already dead. Even when they were surrounded, she would just summon some butterflies to blast of the forest.

The pufferfish moaned while eating the carrot. Akira watches it with a displeased face. He never sees something as absurd as this. He quickly slashes at it before he suffered some more just from hearing the sound.

2 Hours have passed and they were at the end of the forest. Then, they took their first step on the new Un-forest land. The land looks like a dessert. The soil was dry and cracked. There's no plant on top of it. They continued to walk forward in this land. They rarely encounter a monster, not like when they're in the forest.

They didn't need to worried about food because Akira who's not fighting at all was collecting some fruits that look like a normal apple from all the trees in their way. At first, he was wondering how to store the fruits. So, he asked the system.

The system answered that there is a thing called an inventory slot in the shop. One inventory slot was priced 1000 system points. One inventory slot can only store one kind of item, but that item can be stored infinitely no matter how much it is. So, he bought five of those. Leaving only 4900 System points remaining. He stores all of his apples and his Aegislash in the inventory slots.

They keep walking and walking until they see some buildings from far away and walk there. It's already night-time. So, when they entered the village, they start to search for an inn. They didn't see any people walking outside, so they knocked on the door on one of the houses there.

"Excuse me, is there any inn in this village?" After the door was opened, Akira starts asking about the information that he needed. The man who opened the door was very skinny, the bones look like it gonna pop out from his body. Even opening the door makes his hand trembling.

"No, there is no inn inside this village. Are you guys travelers? Did you have some food?" The man answered him and immediately asked him questions with a hoarse voice.

Akira started to think. Then, he got an idea.

"We do have food, but if you want them, let us stay in your house for one night. We don't need a bed"

"Okay, okay" The man slowly nodded one time, and that is because he didn't have energy. If he has it, he would've nod tens of times and as fast as lightning.

Akira and Abby walked inside the house. It's not a big house, and even some part was cracked. But it surprisingly clean. The owner must be a diligent man to make his house as clean as this even in his condition.

Then, the man led them to a small room with nothing inside of it. He said that it was actually a room to store foods. It's so sad. Akira then gives the man 10 apples on which the man takes with a trembling hand. He kept thanking Akira for his foods and start praying so that Akira and his sister will be blessed by god.

Akira didn't even tell what's his relationship with Abby and the man already think that Abby is his sister. But, he didn't fix the man's misunderstanding. How else can he explain it to others? Would he tell them that Abby is his servant? NO!

Akira asks the system to buy two futons and two sleepwear, one for boy and one for a girl from the shop. Akira already opened the store option once when they were still inside the forest. And there is a problem with the shop. It sells too much stuff. It's pretty much uncountable. So, when he wants to buy something he just told the system of what he needed. And the system will search for it.

He knows that there is futon and sleepwear to sell because he bought mirrors before. And yes, he's right. The futon cost 100 system points each. And the sleepwear cost 50 system points each. He bought them. The sleepwear he bought for Abby is sleepwear for kids. He gives one of the futons to Abby. He laid out his futon on the floor and then Abby lay out her futon beside his.

"I want to sleep near master~" Before he could say anything, Abby already strikes him, it's a critical attack!

"Ok" That's what all he could say. They eat some apple first and then change clothes with their back facing each other. Of course, there's nothing happened. They both didn't get embarrassed. Abby is a servant and all she cares about is her master's safety. It's just less than one day that she is known of him. Meanwhile, Akira is a man with tons of experience in life even though he's still a virgin. Wait.... That's a story for another time.

After they have done changing their clothes, they both sleep in peace.
