Chapter 37  Camping

In 3013, the Earth's climate had changed drastically compared to a thousand years ago. The continental plates were unrecognizable, and the oceans had covered the land. The polar ice caps had reformed, and the four seasons were no longer distinct. There were 7 and a half months of cold weather each year, with February being extremely frigid. Even the best hunters would stay at home throughout the entire month of February. As a result, the New Year celebrations were held in this month. Nature's arrangements were always unexpected, and a bit of warm weather was added to the second half of January between the two extreme cold spells. The animals naturally had high body temperatures and didn't enjoy the 30-degree heat, but this time, they were willing to accompany Happiness at all costs.

The radiant sunlight spread across the land, and the lush green grass sprouted from the melting white snow. Through the window, one could see the once frozen lake shimmering with ripples. Happiness was so excited today that she didn't even want to write. Early in the morning, she squatted by the window, waiting for Alexander and the others to take her out. They had planned to go fishing and have a barbecue campfire!

Happiness didn't feel melancholic for long when Eliot knocked on her door and brought her a surprise.

"Happiness, get ready. We're going to the lakeside tonight." Eliot smiled and handed Happiness a few pieces of clothing, saying, "It's not appropriate for you to wear a dress outside, so I made you a set of men's clothing. Try it on, see if it fits."

"Now, now?!" Happiness excitedly took the clothes with both hands and looked up, only to see Alexander and Ben smiling as they entered the room.

"Alexander, you finally came? I thought you forgot!" Happiness playfully complained with a smile.

"Forget? How could I forget? We need to be safe when going out at night. Hurry up and change clothes." Alexander said. Tonight, he was wearing the same sharp black uniform that Happiness had seen before. The dark iron buttons shone slightly. Maybe because it was hot, he rolled up his sleeves and loosened his collar, revealing his strong, bronzed chest and tight, powerful legs.

Happiness was a bit stunned. If this high-quality handsome man had been in her previous life, where would she have stood a chance? Although this handsome man could be very lewd and vulgar at times, this big dog belonged to her alone, always loyal to her. Even if he was a bit perverted, it was within an acceptable range. With excitement, Happiness pounced into Alexander's arms, and the sweet and warm breath made Alexander momentarily stunned. The little creature in his arms rubbed against his face and praised, "Alexander you look so good." This little girl quickly forgot the pain and had already forgotten the times she wanted to bite off Alexander's fingers.

Happiness, dressed as a man, was still full of makeup. Her two chubby bunnies were stuffed into the clothes, and her round little butt was cute. Her waist was slender, and a few strands of hair hung down from the hat, falling on her fair neck. Happiness felt uneasy and said, "Is it weird?"

"No, it looks great!" Ben firmly said, covering his nose and desperately inhaling, saying, "Why do I feel that Happiness looks even better in this outfit than usual?"

"From a psychological perspective, when we see Happiness wearing the clothes we are used to, it will cause varying degrees of visual impact on us, and then create an illusion that she is being embraced by us. We will want to take off layer by layer the hunting uniforms that represent killing and power on her body, and further explore her delicate body," Eliot said seriously.

"It feels like that..." Ben nodded.

"According to ancient texts, Happiness's current behavior is called uniform temptation," Eliot said seriously.

Happiness could now effortlessly understand their conversation. She grabbed the wall with a black line on her head. Could they please stop associating everything she does with that! She would really feel embarrassed!

Alexander frowned and loosened the tight buttons on Happiness's body, so her curves weren't so obvious. Although it made people imagine even more, at least it didn't make people want her at first sight.

Anyway, a group of beasts accompanied a little animal, and finally they left the house bustlingly. Happiness had a feeling of going to the night market with her classmates. She insisted on carrying the fishing rod that Alexander made for her. It was made of some kind of metal and was lightweight and small. It almost felt weightless on her shoulder.

As soon as she stepped out of the hospital gate, the long-lost fresh air with the moist fragrance of grass hit Happiness's face. She blinked her eyes to hold back the tears and even prisoners could go out for a walk every day, while she had never even set foot outside the courtyard.

Stepping on the grass, following the small path created by Alexander, Happiness walked forward happily. She greedily looked at the trees around her. With the starlight as the lamp, she didn't even need a flashlight.

"H-h-h-happiness, you're just right." Andy approached eagerly and said, "I-I-I-I want to hug you."

"No!" Happiness decisively shook her head and smiled at Andy, "I can walk by myself. My legs don't hurt at all."

"This path is not long and flat. Let her walk by herself," Alexander didn't realize that his eyes were full of doting as he looked at Happiness, "She rarely gets to go out and play."

"In the past half month, we have often taken her out to play. I'm more worried about the extreme cold in February. I wonder if the heater is working," Damian said.

"There's no other choice. We can only take turns using body heat to keep her warm when the time comes," Abyssyus said with a hint of regret.

Eugene smirked. He had clearly obtained a batch of high-quality down and fine cotton for Eliot. Eliot was probably already making winter clothes for Happiness. These beasts seemed to be looking forward to her staying in bed for twenty-four hours. Well, he admitted, he was looking forward to it too!

"I walked alone on the small path in the countryside, bringing pastries for grandma to taste, yay!" Happiness happily hummed a very fitting song. Indeed, she was much cooler than Little Red Riding Hood. Not only did she have a wolf by her side, but also a dog and a leopard! It's a whole animal world.

The crisp and sweet voice echoed on the path. The other animals didn't understand what Happiness was singing, but her behavior was inappropriate. If other animals heard her voice, it would be a big problem... However, relying on the large number of animals, Alexander and the others didn't stop Happiness from singing. Instead, they all listened carefully to this rare melodious sound.

After walking for about twenty minutes, Happiness saw the big tent on the grass by the lake, as well as the large barbecue grill outside the tent. The neatly stacked logs were used as fuel for the bonfire. Lus stood outside the tent waving at them. Just as he did so, a fish took the bait. With a flick of his hand, a large fish was pulled out of the water, leaving a shiny trail as it fell into the bucket.

Happiness howled and ran over. This vacation was rare, and she was determined to enjoy it!

Eugene and Abyssyus followed along. The two animals earnestly taught Happiness how to bait the fishing hook. Alexander and Ben unpacked bags of meat and snacks for the barbecue. They brought over hundreds of pounds of marinated meat. Damian took out a lighter and ignited the bonfire under the grill using dry straw. Soon, the lakeside grassland became even livelier and brighter with the glow of the fire. Eliot and Andy set up a large table for outdoor use, but where was Lionel? He casually found a place to sit down, staring at his computer without moving. He's really funny. It's rare to come out and play, but he still brings his computer. It's better for him to stay at home and guard the door!"
