Hall Of Fame System

The Hall Of Fame, also known as the HOF, is a title given to athletes who have had a major impact or influence on a sport in a particular era. Kein Jr, or more commonly known as Nicolas Kein, has the desire to follow in the footsteps of his father, Anthony Kein, as an athlete to hold the title. It's just that there was a slight difference when Nicolas Kein chose to become a professional basketball player. That did not make his father, a former footballer, angry or force his son to continue on his path. Nicolas Kein went his own way after witnessing the glamour of basketball. He idolised the greatest three-point shooter in history, Stephen Curry. Nicolas Kein's determination and desire was further fueled when his family died in a plane crash while visiting his home country. Much of his father's legacy has been instrumental in his life as an athlete. But his journey has been filled with obstacles that he never expected during his basketball career, in order to earn a Hall Of Fame title like his father. *** The knee injury meant that Kein had no chance of playing in the Finals event that would have seen his team fly to America for the world competition. As a result, frustration shattered his mind and mentality and after his team's losing match, Kein received news from the national hospital that his family had an accident and died. Kein was increasingly helpless in the face of the harsh realities of his life. Losing the match in the final could be reclaimed another time, but what about the lives of their family? As time passed, he realised that he had found a capsule on the table in his room and ate it without regard for his health. Unexpectedly, the capsule flowed into his body and brought up a screen with his identity. ‘What is this? Why is a hologram with my identity appearing in front of my eyes?’ That morning was Nicolas Kein's first foray into the Hall Of Fame as a power-obsessed athlete. Perseverance, rage, and revenge will be guided by the ‘System’ of the mysterious capsule.

Capsule and Letter

Leaving the classroom after the siren signalled the lesson was over, Kein walked away from his classroom with a gloomy face and a dizzy head. In his life, he was used to worrying about things that really happened accidentally or intentionally. It was just that even though he had repeatedly experienced the same thing, it was still unavoidable because it was one of his obligations as a student.

"Damn it. Why do I have to learn such complicated things."

Kein did not understand why after being in the academy he had to learn all the science theories that made him have to think dozens of times to digest all the material. He understood very well why he hated it but his life wanted to teach him a lesson that had to be learnt even though Kein hated science.

The five fingers of his right hand massaged his head to reduce the burden that was so big and a little useless to him. There was no clarity or more information regarding the material to be learnt at the academy. If he knew that then he wouldn't have enrolled in this academy if he had to go through such forced hardship in such a short period of time.

Everyone in the world doesn't hate learning, it's just that what makes them hate it is having to learn what they don't enjoy, including Kein.

He went to a convenience store not far from the academy, grabbed a cold drink and hoped to extinguish the fire raging in his brain. Sitting relaxed while observing people who were also observing him.

When she tried to close her eyes using her backpack, it was suddenly pulled away and the sunlight hit her eyes. In front of him stood his room mate who always appeared wherever Kein was.

"What are you doing here?" Damian asked with an excited look on his face.

"I should be the one asking. What's the need for you to follow me? Want me to report you as a stalker?"

"Hey, hey, don't be rash, mate. I'm just curious about the look of desperation on your face. This is all because of the last lesson, right?"

Kein nodded, his fierceness suddenly turning morose. 'I'm sure that's not something new to you.'

"And you must be sure this is not a new stupidity or exasperation for yourself." Damian bared his teeth innocently.

Kein almost threw the chair he was sitting on into his friend's face. But his agility was immediately restrained after not a few people observed him. This became the subject of his thoughts and uneasiness.

"You seem to have quite a temper at the moment. Alright, I'll see you at the canteen. I'm going to play a game in my room,' Damian said as he pointed his thumbs back, indicating that he was leaving.

Kein rubbed his face repeatedly as the many distractions made his mood a mess. Moreover, one by one, the glorious gazes of others were fixed on him and two of them dared to approach while carrying a voice recorder.

"Good afternoon, Nicolas Kein. Introduce us from the news anchor..."

"Shut up and leave me alone. Whatever you want to ask, I'm not in the mood right now." Kein did not look at them at all. His annoyed face was already a threat to them and he left without a word.

When Kein decided to leave the convenience store as he was getting annoyed, he suddenly heard his mobile phone ring. An annoyed chuckle could be heard as he walked towards the academy and looked at the screen.

'Uncle Roberto?' Kein was quite surprised.

Not wanting to keep his uncle waiting too long, he picked up the call.

"Hello, uncle. It's me, Kein. What's the need to call me?"

"Kein, what happened to you? Are you okay? I was suddenly worried about you because you didn't reply to my letter a few days ago. Don't tell me you forgot my home address?"

Suddenly the young man patted his forehead with his mouth open. "How stupid of me. I completely forgot that you had sent me a letter. I'm sorry, uncle. I will answer all your questions now."

Kein reasoned that he had forgotten the contents of the letter from his uncle, other than asking for news.

"There's no need. Because from the sound of your voice, you've been well enough to carry out your training, right?"

"Of course." Kein gave a small smile. "I've recovered since you sent me the letter, uncle. I really don't remember, hahaha."

"No big deal. Just hearing you laugh got the answer I needed. So, are you getting used to it? Your friends still care about you, right?"

"They know but keep quiet. It's in the past and shouldn't be brought up again. My sadness in the future will bring misery to them in the grave."

"That's good. I just don't want your spirit of being an athlete to decline after being left behind by your family. Don't worry because you still have us. I consider you as my own son, Kein. Don't hesitate if you need help or something. I'll give it to you."

Kein was silent for a moment. He understood the meaning of his uncle's words which referred to the condition of his family who had died three months ago. Kein didn't get angry even though it made his mood worse, but he believed it was his uncle's concern for him.

After all, he didn't have a family that really cared for him at the moment, other than his uncle's family who continued to comfort him and were always there when he needed them.

"Thank you, Uncle Roberto. It was an unexpected coincidence that I had something to ask you about that letter."

"That letter? Is there something wrong with the delivery?"

Kein shook his head even though his uncle could not see his reaction. "What I want is the capsule inside the letter.

"Capsule? I didn't put any capsule inside the letter, Kein. Did you see it wrong?"

His steps stopped again because something odd happened when he was recovering. His brain had already run out of fuel when it was drained during the science lesson, only this was not something complicated but worth thinking about together.

"I'm not joking, uncle. I really saw the capsule in the letter." Kein said again after making sure he was not mistaken.

"Uncle is not joking either. Was there a third person who tried to slip the capsule in? What does its shape and colour look like?"

"It looks like a normal medicine capsule. I thought it was some medicine from the doctor who treated me. But a few days ago I got an answer that no capsule was given to me on that day."
