Chapter 5

"Will we meet again?" Amaara asked choking on a sob that struggled to burst out.

"Of course, baby. We will meet. Definitely. I'll bring your grandpa over and we will have snacks party. You just have to call out to me." Ella stroke her back gently.

"Does mom know about this?" Amaara realised that she was still in the dream and her mom was in a different continent and her grandma must have reached there too through the ambulance flight.

"No. She is not aware of these all. And your grandpa also didn't know about this till his demise." Ella responded calmly.

"Okay.... How will you go?"

"I'll die, of course."

Cough. Violent cough.

Amaara was so shocked hearing her mentioning the death as something so trivial. She choked on her spit.

"What the hell are you saying?" She cried out.

"Amaara, sweetheart. I'm telling the truth. I shall die in this world. As in, I will ascend to the upper dimension along with your grandpa. Then I shall be able to manifest in front of you out of thin air." Ella explained to her.

Amaara calmed down slightly after hearing this.

"But mom is trying so much to save you. How will she respond to your 'ascension'." She exclaimed with animated quotation marks with her fingers.

"That is why I performed dream walking on you. You transferred me to Monsora, and in Imperial Hospital where there cannot be even a chance accident, it being a medical city. So, you shall go to Monsora tomorrow. You will reach there in maximum 10 hours. Accompany your mother and take care of her while I shall release my last breath. Ta da. It's easy peasy." Ella stretched her wings and narrated with a satisfaction of a screen writer.

Amaara gnashed her teeth at this shameless casual lady.

"So, you want me to comfort my mother while her mother dies, knowing she did it intentionally? Can't you do it yourself?"

"Hm~ Yes and no." The old hag hummed with a smile.

"What? But you can come into my dream to talk. So, why can't you do that to mom?" Amaara cried out exasperated. Why is this old lady so adamant on making her middleman and ruining her newly brought adulthood?

"You want me to tell my precious daughter that Imma suicide tomorrow! Take care!! Imma go up there in heaven for honeymoon!!! Do you want me to traumatize her in one blow?" The said old lady screeched so hard, the birds stopped chirping for a moment!

"So, you chose to traumatize me instead? Didn't you think for a second that I was daughter of your daughter? Um, precious to double?" Amaara questioned her sharply.

"Honey. You need to understand the concept of generational wealth here. Not the antique collection." Ella pointed out.

Amaara was confused: "What? What do you mean?"

"Oh sorry. My bad. I forgot that your major is archaeology and not business management." Ella shook her hand exaggerated.

Seeing Amaara raising her eyebrows, she coughed and said.

"You see, there are many family-owned business conglomerates in Rosineo. Only 7 out of 10 of them manage to maintain or increase that wealth till third generation. So, in our conversation, I am like those other 3 people."

"Uh, why are you laughing, honey? Okay, I'm getting late. You just rub that bracelet I gave you a couple of times. I shall understand that you have reached to my body. I mean, to your mother. Okay. Bye, sweetheart."

Amaara laughed angrily. Her expressions were so dark, so distorted, Ella considerately took the safe road and ejected from her dream as soon as possible.

Amaara massaged her temples. Her head was aching so much, like she had gone through hours of journey in public vehicle and motion sickness. It must be that old lady's fault. She remembered why the old lady met her the dream.

Getting up, the first thing she did was to call her mom about going to Simhaan City to see her and her grandma. Her mother naturally agreed and also booked tickets for direct flight considerately. Those direct flights were very costly and were arranged with more time gap because of various reasons. If you are in hurry, you will have to change two flights inbetween. Which will make it difficult to reach other side in a same day. That's why her mother couldn't come here immediately but chose to transfer her grandma there. Today was lucky as she could catch this flight.

Tring....

The Ambit was buzzing loudly as she came out of bathroom after a shower. It was her homeroom teacher, Mrs. King. She quickly contacted her back. The virtual screen showed a middle aged tiny lady with immaculate appearance sitting at the desk with solemn expression.

"Uh. Good morning, Mrs. King." Amaara greeted her.

"Very good morning, Miss Thanatos. How are you doing?" Mrs. King asked gently.

"I'm good, Mrs. King. How are you?"

"Well, missing you brats, of course. (chuckle) Anyways. I heard about the accident. It was very unfortunate thing to happen to your grandma. We sincerely hope that she recovers. I called you to convey this message on behalf of the school that, if there is anything in need, we shall help you. Please feel free to talk to us." Mrs. King started softly.

"We care about psychological health. And if I am aware, Mrs Thanatos is not here. So, you should take care of yourself. And if you find anything wrong, you have my personal contact. Alright?"

"Yeah. Don't worry, Mrs. King. I'm fine. Grandma was transferred to Imperial Hospital in Simhaan City yesterday. Mom is also there with her colleagues and a team of specialists." Amaara responded with obedient nods like chicken pecking rice.

"Well, that's good. By the way, the school will hold graduation convocation and farewell eve this weekend. And you have to be prepared because you are chosen to give the closing speech." Mrs. King dropped the bomb at last.

"What? What did you say? Closing speech? When did I agree for the public execution? Who decided this for me? I do not remember giving this power to decide anything on behalf of me? Amaara spouted nonsense animatedly.
