Chapter 23

Tyler wasn't okay inside,so he decided to go out and have a smoke.He walks with snow crunching under footsteps as he sees at the end of the cliff was Hadrian.

Tyler decided it was the best time to apologize

,Hadrian could hear seagulls cawing,waves crash on shore roaring water.Tyler spoke up"About the comment,it was pretty insensitive."

Hadrian nodded and replied"I was pretty annoying too."

Tyler gave a small smile,as Hadrian noticed the cigarette in his hand and questioned"So you smoke?"

Tyler nodded and answered"Sometimes,I guess."

Hadrian took out a pocket light with emblem was the Deathly hallows on it.Hadrian with flick lit the cigarette for Tyler who smiled at him,as he noticed the symbol on th lighter and he saw Hadrian had same symbol tattooed on his wrist.

The Elder Wand was represented by the straight vertical line, the Resurrection Stone by the circle surrounding it, and finally a triangle enclosing them both to represent the Cloak of Invisibility.

Their small talk was broken by voice behind them"You wouldn't do that

if Dad were still here."

Tyler turned around seeing it was his sister sighs and replied"If Dad were still here,

we'd be in Seattle, dum-dum."

Kinsey with a serious tone asked"Serious question, Tyler.Are you okay?I mean, I know none of us are okay, but...you seem really far away.I know you and Dad were fighting a lot

right before."

Kinsey was really worried asked once again"Are you okay?"

Hadrian heard everything decided to pitch in"I shouldn't meddle in your business,but you know take it from someone who stuffed everything inside him instead of asking for help or confronting it.You atleast have your family to talk too,some don't even have them,so cherish it."

As Hadrian walked back to the Key house.Tyler eyes widened,so after some thought with deep breath said"Yeah, I'm not okay.I miss, Dad and everything seems so broken."

Kinsey felt slight relief seeing her brother open up again as she spoke up"We can talk about it."

Tyler nodded as Kinsey added"I can't believe that guy at the ice cream shop already knew who we were."

Tyler shrugs and replied"Get used to it.Tomorrow at school it's gonna be even worse."

Kinsey takes a deep breath,

slowly exhales and said"You wanna know something real stupid?when I saw this place,

the first thing I wanted to do

was text a picture to Dad."

Tyler looking at view from the cliff said"He'd really like this."

Kinsey then made up her mind and said"You know what?I think we should.Come on."as both of them pose for the camera,the camera shutters showing the picture was taken.

After that little talk Tyler was more friendly with Hadrian,while Kinsey also made slight conversation with him.Hadrian seeing Nina come in spoke up"I am going to town to buy some hardware and groceries,do you want something Mrs.Locke."

Nina smiled and replied"No,I guess their is nothing we need atleast for now."

Hadrian nodded and added"I will be back by night time.So you don't have to worry about dinner."

Nina was really grateful smiled and replied"Thank you for everything."

Hadrian had to get a few of his stuff from Peverell mansion too.But during this time,Bode is drawn to the Well House which sits on Keyhouse mansion and, when he calls into the well, he receives a reply from something he initially believes to be his echo. The reply scares him, and he runs back into the house, perplexed and scared he tells his family about this,but after they check out the well nothing is their.They all dismiss it as a prank by Bode and by the time Hadrian returns no one speaks about it.
