The Results of Effort

After logging out, Adam inmediatly fell on his bed.

Hours of sleep later, he woke up and took a shower.

He looked at his image in the mirror and noticed some changes on his body, they were very small but there was some improvement.

The biggest change was on his mental state, he felt much better and stronger than before.

A moment later he eat something, currently he had a small amount of credits, it was uncertain if he would make it to the end of the month after buying the gaming capsule, so he just had a to be stingy with meat.

That was because the previous Adam eas practically abandoned by his parents.

All they left for him was some money, that cheap IA msid and four months of free rent on this apartment.

They never approved his lifestyle, first he did bad in studies and spent most of his time lazing around or playing games.

It would be acceptable if he earned good money through games but he was just an average player that could barely sustain himself like that.

They were also disappointed by his lack of interest into training his body, in this society such a thing was very important.

This time he was more generous with his food, with the items he had obtained in the game it would be more than enough to obtain a good anount of credits once he sold them.

On the other hand, he was making more plans on what to do. First, he was thinking of changing the AI maid.

His maid could only cook and clean a bit, it couldn't compare to the most advance ones that could even repair the house.

There was almost no difference between the materials used in a basic to advanced AI maid, the main difference was the AI installed on them, but with his system it shouldn't be hard to improve his maid functions.

He was even thinking of selling updates for a lower price, that way, anyone with a basic maid could get the functions of advanced one for a much lower price.

This could be a decent way to earn some extra credits.

He returned to the game again.

"It seems the black pig hasn't respawned" Adam said exploring the sorroundings, it was an habit that he got from the previous body. He would sometimes say what he is thinking.

He needed to return to the town first so he made his way.

On the town, he started selling high quality equipment and materials, accepting credits or coins.

At some point, he made contact with a merchant player. Adam was surprised to find a player that has become a merchant already, moreover, this person didn't seem to belong to any guild.

Agil was even more shocked at the amount of items that Adam had so sell, large guilds still struggled to obtain bronze rank equipment.

Agil was the player that payed the most so Adam tried to sell most of his items to him, once Agil ran out of coins and credits, they signed a contract.

Agil didn't come from a rich background as Adam expected but his class could obtain better prices with npcs, less fees in the auction house and more benefits. He obtained class exp an reputation trading and fulfilling quests.

After the contract was signed, Adam gave him every item he wasn't going to use and left. Agile would pay him once he got the money.

Next he followed the process to learn the Chef profession.

Adam laughed at how foolish the lifestyle system seemed.

Each time a player succeeded in crafting an item he would obtain some experience and skill proficiency, one required proficiency to increase his profession rank.

However, as realistic as the game was, the crafting system relied on success rate, even if a player ability was low, he could still succeed in crafting because of this.

Not that he complained though, he just adjusted the cooking success rate to 100% and it worked.

The good thing ablut cooking is that he didn't need to stay in a room to cook like some other professions.

Next he asked Agil to buy some tools for him.

Agil happily went shopping to npc stores. It wasn't easy to expend so many coins this early in the game. Even if he didn't obtain coins, he gained exp and some merchant reputation.

He was puzzled as to why Adam asked him for so many cooking tools.

It would be fine with using a grill, but ten of them? And large sized, even. He also asked for a few iron bars, skillets and many more tools.

Altough the tools were nothing special, it was quite expensive at the end.

After a while, Adam rewarded him some coins, he was happy now that he could learn to cook a bit.

He liked food the most since he arrived.

'System any news yet?' He asked, he reached level 9 already, considerably higher than the top player's level 5.

-System has altered some of host cells to absorb nutrients with higher efficiency, to a level similar to those top natural talented people- This Adam understood easily, not all humans were equal, some had a natural advantage which most people refered to as talent.

-Main God System will update the areas of level 40 and above as quite a few of them haven't been generated properly. One of the areas is at ten hours of host position-

Adam was happy that the system found something and asked

'Information about the area?'

-A temple has been generated there by error, it was supposed to be in a higher level location, however, the monster or npc guarding it were indeed generated on that high level location. The temple is unguarded and still has its tems so the main god aystem will fix it in the new update. Host is suggested search for it before that-

'Good, guide me there' He said.

Suddenly a map appeared on his interface, it was bigger than his previous one, and altough it showed some areas, most of them were blackened.

Next the system circled one area for him.

Knowing his destination, he cancelled his plans to sell food and started running to the other side of the town and then out of the town itself.

After hours of running he arrived at his destination.

He had died two times for not being careful enough on his way here, there was nothing he could do against level 60 monsters.

But he circled them and arrived at the temple.

It wasn't big, it could even be considered a small one.

He saw nothing alive around, just as the system said.

He pushed open the gates and entered.

Inside it was much bigger than how it lookrd on the outside.

Fancy paintings and decorations, but no valuable item on sight.

He started feeling that he was supposed to steal this items until he arrived at the last room.

Dozens of chests were organized in stands against the wall, a small eastern golden dragon that looked more like a snake waited there.

Adam looked at it with caution, he didn't want to die again.

"Adventurer, since you have passed the twelve trials, come for your final reward. You are allowed to choose three chests. Each one contains an item" The small dragon said with praise.

Adam was shocked, what trials? He just had to walk here...

'It seems the trials had not been generated properly, it's not the only error in the area, I even saw rocks floating in the air outside' Adam somehow tried to explain it to himself.

When he was closer to the dragon, his blood started acting strange, as if excited.

The golden dragon looked at him with surprise.

Adam couln't see any information about the dragon, not even a name, it was probably not even a real creature.

"I feel the blood of the dragon race in you, adventurer. As expected of someone that passed the trials, even with an unawekened bloodline" The dragon said.

"Unawakened bloodline?" Adan asked.

"Of course, you can't even transform in a dragon, do you? Thay is because your bloodline is not awake yet" The dragon explained.

"If your bloodline was awake, I would have noticed it the moment you entered this room. Since we are somehow related, let me give you an advise. That chest over there contains a dragon heart, it can help you awakening the bloodline further" The dragon said and pointed a claw to a chest on the top left corner.

"I see" Adam understood and looked at the chest and the information appeared.

The chest only contained a dragon card with a 100% rate.

"I'll choose that one first then" If the dragon suggested it, there should be a good reason.

Next, he started looking at every chest, all of the items inside had cool looking names, siren queen tears, archangel essence, hydra summoning flute, world tree fruit...

There was all kind of items in there, tools, equipment, recipes, designs, potions, Tier 5 Skills...

Any other player wouldn't be able to see what items the chests contained unless they opened them, at least he had that as a guideline.

'System, suggest some items?' There was too many items so he would accept some suggestions.

-Host can pick the Eden Pocket Dimension and the Dragon Ki skill tome. Actually any choice is good-

He was familiar with the word ki, altough all players had mana, his class had ki instead. Its function was seemed basically the same but he didn't have any skill that used ki yet.

He decided follow the system's advice, it would take forever for himself to decide.

"I want that one over there and that one at the bottom" Adam said and pointed.

"You surely know how to choose, young dragon." The golden dragon said with praise as he passed the chests over to him.

Adam opened the three chests one after the other.

The first item he took was a small gold and black heart.

[Dragon Heart]

Consume it to increase all physical aspects. Has a chance to give user a dragon bloodline.

He ready had a bloodline, but he still eat the heart, it actually didn't taste bad.

His blood rushed trough his body, his heart beated quickly, producing strong sounds that could be heard outside.

An overbearing aura came out of his body that shocked event the golden dragon.

Black and gold scales started covering his body and part of his head except for his face, his eyes now looked like the ones of a reptile and shinned with a gold color.

A pair of wings spread from his back

"This is the strongest bloodline I have ever seeing" The dragon said with shock.

After a while, Adam's body returned to normal.

He looked at his character information and was glad.

"My strength increase is at x4 now, other attributes increases x3. I even obtained a racial skill" He said, but the benefits weren't limited to this, his senses were much higher now, his mind felt more sharp than ever.

Requires Dragon Ki to activate.

Consumes 500 of Ki per minute.

He didn't have Dragon Ki to activate it but he should find the answers on tome he obtained.

Use to learn Dragon Ki techniques.

He just used the tome right away while looking at the golden dragon.

The small dragon had a face full of pride that made Adam feel warm inside, he felt very close to it, it was a feeling that even his parent wouldn't give him.

He was disappointed for a moment that the tome only contained three skill but that feeling disappeared the moment that he saw their description.

Triples ki regeneration.

[Dragon Roar] (Active, Special, Level 0)

Releases a roar that suppress all enemies in an area of 50 meters, reducing all attributes by 30% and applying mental suppression.

He was more than happy, altough dragon roar was his only attack skill, it was very strong. Now he could even use his demi dragon form.

He then looked at the last item he obtained as the golden dragon smiled.

It was like a miniature spherical world on his hand.

The item contains a space suitable to cultivate all type of plant lifeforms.

When activated, if a plant reaches past maturity, it'll die and release seeds. Number of seeds depends on the type of plant.

When deactivated, plants won't die after reaching maturity.

Sends user a notification when the specified plants reaches maturity or bears fruit.

He blood boiled with excitment as he read the item description. The item could grow not only herbs but also plants, flowers, trees and more importantly, vegetables.

The other feature he liked the mlst was that anything that survived until maturity would be perfect, this would mean high quality ingredients.

He didn't just tought with his stomach, he knew that the most profitable aspect was to grow rare herbs, but that was common sense.

"Thank you thank you" Adam said and looked at the dragon like a kid who received the best birthday gift possible.

"There is no need to thank me, this is the result of you efforts, now this place will close, you can come back in five years" The golden dragon said happily.

Adam felt like this litlle dragon has treated him even better than his parents.

"Oh right, you shouldn't show your demi dragon form casually, it may bring you unnecessary trouble" The dragon said that and space started to twist in the room.

Adam was teleported outside.
