chapter 2 inside the nightmare

(Emilia pov)

I wake up in darkness all I can see is my own body no ground, no sky, nothing but darkness and sadness. I start walking after a few minutes I see a cage in the distance rather large cage I adjust my eyes to see a person sitting down in the corner of the cage as i run to it.

I look at the girl who is bruised, cut, bloody, also filthy and looks to be starving and is frail looking, I could probably count her bones. I look the cage door over but I cannot locate a lock of any sort.

" hi I want to hep you, do you know how we can open this cage" i said

The girl slowly raises her head and all the air left my lungs as I see Tai looking back at me as tears sting my eyes.

"how are you like this, why are you like this " I said

I start yanking on the cage door and shoving it it as hard as i can and my heart is on the verge of breaking. I start ramming the cage with my shoulder, I look at the hinges to see if any will open and then I try to pull the hinges out but they wont budge. I use a fire spell but nothing happens it's like my magic is turned off or gone.

"please help me with the door " I said

as I slide to the floor hitting my knees as tears run down my cheeks as Tai looks at me I see her suddenly stare behind me as fear is written on her face and eyes, As her body starts to shake.

I sit there then feel a chill run down my spine, I quickly snap my head back to look behind me as I see my love standing in all her beautiful glory nothing is out of place and she is whole as well as healthy. I scramble to my feet as I slowly walk to her as my heart is nearly jumping out of my chest.

"Tai baby your ok, I've missed you and where is thi place" I said

I watch her as she stands there not even opening her eyes to look at me and in my gut I can feel something is wrong, as I'm a few feet away from her a loud bang from behind me grabs my attention. I turn to look at the cage seeing the caged Tai trying to get the door free.

('two of them in a place like this I must be dreaming I can't believe I didn't notice earlier..i feel like a airhead') I thought to my self as I felt the temperature drop down all around me as if I'm surrounded by ice. To where my teeth clattered And my body shivered from the ice cold air that I felt.

"Emilia get away from it" (caged) Tai said as i watched her ramming the door again and tears run down her face, as she slowly got the door to crack open.

(Something doesn't feel right) I thought

as an oppressing feeling overtook my senses, as I felt the hair on the back of my neck standing up and my breath getting caught in my throat. it's as if a predator was about to attack behind me and I felt the darkness that was behind me as well.

I slowly turn back around, I see Tai standing there with her eyes wide open with no color at all except black orbs staring at me menacingly, I see a wide sneer appear on her face as it stretches inhumanely possible from ear to ear as I see razor sharp teeth as she smiles wider at me.

I glance at her body again and I see claws on her hand, a tail flicks from one side to another behind her and then I hear a whooshing sound as wings spread out from behind her.
