Everyone is distanced from one another. Families separated, friendships broken. This is the future society. Government corrupted, leading to a new way of life for its citizens. Rationing of food, no more liberty for the young society. Students are now used only for their intelligence. Education becomes harder, and those who fall behind, are left to the end of the totem pole. There are no second chances. At least, that's what Huang Renjun was told. But that was before he met Lee Jeno in an alley way walking home after school. And after Lee Jeno showed up, his best friend, Na Jaemin, that he's not supposed to have, eventually made his appearance. Renjun knew it was wrong. But how could he not? He finally found the bright colors to liven up his dull gray life he had been living. What he was 'given.' If they get caught, a whole new case will form. And they might be the guilty party.

- eleven -

Renjun had been sitting inside of his room, waiting for the system to boot up. He had been sitting in the large uncomfortable chair, waiting for the familiar clicks and fans running in the computer, when the siren went off.

At first, he paid no attention to it, until he recognized the first name called out, and he knew.

"Lee Jeno. 00-04-23."

Renjun glanced up at the speaker in his room in confusion, until the second name was called.

"Na Jaemin. 00-08-42."

He froze, fearing the worst. He didn't know why they were being called, and who else were to be called, but he felt incoming doom lingering around him. He shivered, a cool sweat starting to form.

Then it came.

His worst nightmare.

"Huang Renjun. 00-00-01."

If he had been standing, his knees would've given out, but being in the chair, he only felt lightheaded.

He knew what was going to happen, and it was the worst thing that could've happened.

All three boys shared the same thought.

"The Chamber."

All of a sudden, while Renjun's eyes were becoming glassy at the danger heading in his future, the two other boys burst through his room, fear written on their faces.

Jaemin and Jeno had no idea what the chamber was, never had a lesson on it.

Renjun smiled weakly at the two, deciding to speak up first.

"You guys will be fine," he reassured.

Jeno was frustrated, running his hand through his hair, messing the dark locks up slightly.

Renjun and Jaemin's gazes followed the action, but remained quiet.

"I've seen what it is. It's a chance, nothing scary," Renjun told them, knowing time was running out.

The Capital's men were coming soon, the siren only a warning, so he was trying to calm the other two down so they wouldn't fight back when those men did come.

"How do you know?" Jeno looked at Renjun, frustration lacing his voice, but the frustration wasn't pointed towards Renjun.

"Chenle went into the Chamber. And when he did, I input everything about the Chamber to make sure he wasn't hurt. Please, Jeno, trust me," Renjun said, sitting up and went to get out of the chair.

The other two boys looked at each other at the mention of their friend's name, wondering why Chenle didn't tell them this.

Renjun stood next to them, pulled each one of their hands into his own, and pulled them towards the door. The younger two were shocked, but in the seriousness of the situation, they needed the guiding.

They slowly descended the stairs, all the other students stood in there spots frozen. None of them have seen Renjun, all except the time when Jaemin and Jeno first saw him.

His gray uniform still strange against the white walls, making him stand out. But what made him stand out the most, was the fact that he was holding the hands of two of the most known students in that Hall.

His soft features turned stone cold, trying to get the fact that all of those students were staring at him, and tried to stay emotionless. That was until he saw Chenle.

"Ge-ge," the familiar language rung out, and Renjun spun his head to his direction, eyes wide.

The tears started to form and his stature started to crumble.

"Chenle?"

His soft voice seemed to flow through the silence, the sweet tone traveling all the way to Chenle, making his eyes started to water, and his heart swelled at seeing Renjun. He thought that he wouldn't ever see the older ever again.

Renjun forgot his grip on the other two, letting go, and rushed down the steps quickly. He needed to get to Chenle. He made it to the landing, and the other students seemed to clear a straight path between him and Chenle.

"Where-? How-?" Renjun asked, walking briskly to where Chenle stood, not realizing he had switched to Chinese. It just flowed to him, seeing Chenle made it all come back to him.

Chenle had grown. That was evident, to Renjun.

Tears began to run easily down Chenle's face, smiling brightly.

"Ge-ge, I thought you were gone forever," Chenle said, Renjun stopping before him, "After that day, I knew nothing. They took you away from me, ge-ge."

Renjun now had tears flowing down his face as well, Jeno and Jaemin coming up from behind, watching quietly.

They both looked at the other three boys across from them holding the same awestruck face as they did. Donghyuck's face in revelation as to who his dongsaeng had always talked about so enthusiastically, but with a little pain laced underneath.

Jisung looked at his friend in slight confusion, not seeing the usually bright and loud boy look so emotional. Also in confusion because of the sudden onslaught of Chinese, but mainly because of the first reason.

Mark had concern in his gaze, but knew this was a peaceful reunion, nothing too dangerous.

Chenle continued to look at Renjun, as Renjun did the same.

They both smiled at each other through the tears, and collided in an expressive hug, long overdue.

They continued their embrace crying and mumbling apologies in Chinese.

It was until the siren rang again, that caught every one off guard.

More people? Mark thought as all of the people looked back at the ceiling, towards the loudspeaker.

It stopped and started once more like the first time.

Then the tinny voice returned.

"Park Jisung. 02-02-14."

The boy looked at the others in shock.

"Zhong Chenle. 01-11-30."

Renjun felt the younger shudder under his embrace, and squeezed his arms tighter around the older.

"Lee Donghyuck. 00-06-58."

Donghyuck immediately looked at Mark, sharing a concerned face with the older boy.

"Mark Lee. 99-08-100."

To say that Mark was concerned was an understatement, he was shaking, but held Donghyuck's hand to try and comfort the younger, as well as himself.

It wasn't until the men in all black rushed into the School that his breath became shaky.

Disoriented, Renjun could hardly feel the harsh pulls and pushes of the men, only barely hearing Jeno and Jaemin calling out to him.

Before he was able to register the glint of metal, the familiar pinch at his neck made him flinch.

Vision blurry, he tried to look for Jaemin or Jeno, but not quite being able to make out any solid figure. He had been ripped away from Chenle, but mind hazing, he couldn't remember where the younger was.

Distraught, Renjun felt his body loosen.

It wasn't until the last moment that the men had all the other boys, doing the same to them.

Then the darkness surrounded him.
