The first adventure

I could only 'see' the inside of his bag, but I felt his descent. I decided to add some railings to the sides to help people get in more easily, once the elf was done with this experience. I felt him walk deeper in, and then stop at the crossroads. Why wasn't he moving towards the his goal? The temple would be fine. I continued my expansion above ground, spreading over the grassland curiously. Fairies had started going above-ground now that they could, and seemed to enjoy it.

He took the center path, and felt confusion turn to worry. I mentally summoned a water celestial in the crystal's lake, getting an angel. That was probably good... I left it there, giving it the duty of guarding the cavern and the crystals from thieves and invaders. I readied my next summoning while he slowly walked forward. It took him two hours to get to the final cavern, which bothered me.

I'd thought it would take them less time... but then again, he was being ridiculously cautious, and seemed confused that he hadn't met any monsters or traps yet. I remembered the chest the same time he did, saving half of my mp, I first created an amulet and two rings out of living wood. If planted, these suckers would grow into Fae trees. I then enchanted them.

I shoved pure mana into them, as much as possible without me fainting, and then enchanted the necklace with the ability to- like a dungeon- summon plants and animals- the kind linked to the kind growing in my dungeon. Then the rings... I enchanted one with the territory skill and one with the absorb skill.

These enchantments I forced into the very essence of the living wood- and the materials accepted them. I now had a reward, a treasure... and I suddenly wanted to keep it safe. I waited, letting him inspect the room and wasting a full half an hour. I had almost halfway recovered to my maximum mana when he approached the chest, beginning to inspect the lid. After fifteen minutes, he knew the chest was safe and started to open it. eighteen hundred mp into a single summoned creature later, and a celestial formed- a water demon.

He looked absolutely terrifying, the only differences from the elf holding onto me being the blueish color of his skin, the clothing he wore- non-existent, though I'd fix that at the very first opportunity- his long white hair, his sharp teeth, and his red eyes and clawed hands. He watched the elf, then cleared his throat. I poured the remainder of my magic into shaping moss and vines into an actual shirt and simple kilt, the same style that those ancient Egyptian men wore- I'd barely managed to finish forming it before I brought it into existence around him.

That knocked me out, though I was just in time- the elf finished turning around and saw a clothed demon. Then I fell unconscious, though I didn't need to sleep too long. just until my mana recovered. Until then, though, life didn't just stop- The elf was faced with a low-level celestial guarding a really old looking chest whom was wearing clothing made out of pressed and woven plants. Oh, I wish I'd been awake enough to remember what they did...

Trital

I woke up in a room with an elf man and a chest, my master weary from summoning me and close to falling unconscious for a very long time. I cleared my throat once my master gave me my purpose- to protect the chest from any enemies. There were only two chests in this whole dungeon that he could be referring too- and this man was an enemy so that ruled out my preferred option.

I suddenly felt clothes on me- living plants woven oddly- and felt an odd feeling of warmth inside. Master cared enough to protect my body from the eyes of the elf, which confused me and made me happy. Normally one would use a demon's natural charisma to seduce their victims. It appeared I'd be using my words and weapons.

"You shouldn't be touching that. My master warned me enemies would come to take his treasure, but you don't seem like a true enemy. Are you certain you want to rob him and truly make yourself an enemy?" I spoke calmly and gently, my light blue skin showing I was bound by someone- dark blue or scaled skin would've denoted a free demon. He watched me for a minute, wary.

"No... but who are you? And where is your master?" He stepped back from the chest, the lid barely moved. I could still sense my three treasures hidden inside. I carefully and reverently closed the lid, bowing to him.

"I am the guardian of these treasures... you may call me Guardian, if you need a name. Please, sir, I won't harm you while you are on a quest for the master. Although, I will defend these treasures with my life from all but the master himself. Please, feel free to explore the rest of his... home..." I smiled sadly, knowing my master didn't consider it home yet.

He nodded, slowly backing away. "Alright... I'll go then..." I waved, watching him turn and leave. Then I looked behind me to inspect the chest and... the treasures were gone. I pulsed out my power and found them being taken to the man by some beast. I roared and chased after them. I could feel him start running, clearly not having expected me to discover the trick so soon.

I hid my clothing, sending it to my own personal void to await my summons again. I chased him and caught him in the transition room. I leapt and roared as I felt my master begin to feel pain- an enemy territory pressing against his actual body. I leapt past him, twisting in mid-air and casting a spell that made the water form a wall that no one could pass through- trapping him with his death. The beast- some kind of rat- attempted to bite me and I stabbed it, consuming it in front of the elf and gaining it's skills.

That was why demons were terrifying. We gained the skills of the creatures we consumed- as long as they had a high enough intelligence. He grimaced, stepping back and pulling out a scroll. He opened his mouth and I screeched at him, forcing his lungs to lock up for a few seconds. I stole the scroll in that time and banished it to my void.

"You will die- escape is forbidden." I kissed him, letting him know he'd be my next meal and marking him as such. Demons kissed those they intended to kill- if one ever did fall in love, they were always submissive and let their lover kiss them. That was the only way a demon could kiss and not kill- because a kiss left a mark, and if a mark was made by a demon hungry enough to be starving, it gave that demon a terrifying amount of strength and speed until their prey was dead. I had just been born, and that rat had been my first meal- I was still starving.

This elf was a dead man, and he pretty much knew it. He was sweating, and he lowered his hand, using the amulet to try and ensnare me. I was a water demon though- like air demons, we were immune to physical traps. I stepped out of the plants easily, then shot forward and pulled the rings off of his fingers. They could only be taken off by the actual owners of the ring- a unique effect of living wood. He suddenly didn't have extra territory, and the backlash made him whimper, my master ceasing to feel pain.

I then placed both on my own fingers, and clenched my fists. My territory expanded, and my killing intent latched onto him- my master safe from pain in my own territory. I expanded mine constantly while I spent an hour playing with my food, toying with him and cackling as he used spell after useless spell to try and kill me, eventually even an incredibly big spell. I killed him right before he cast it and the magic was suddenly released without any guidance, being absorbed by both me and master at the same time.

I gained all of his skills and became a level 3 water demon, just from the magic- gaining another four levels from actually killing him. I was even careful not to let any blood reach the floor. I carefully set master in his original place, licking my lips and washing myself in the ocean before returning to my place and putting my clothes back on, using the bones of the elf to begin creating something special. I ground them into powder so I could actually do it, smiling to myself happily.

My master trusted me, and I had my saved master. In my mind, my master was so wonderful that I decided to start creating something. He could make anything that entered his dungeon. So I would make bone powder, and then begin using it to cultivate a few of the rarer demonic magical plants. He'd gain access to them and possibly even gain access to demonic skills and spells. That would be wonderful for any dungeon!

I hoped he appreciated what I was doing for him- he cared for me, so I would care for him. No matter what, I would remain his loyal, devoted ally, and serve him for the rest of my existence.

Dungeon

I woke up suddenly, blinking in confusion as I was back where I'd started. The elf was gone... maybe he'd gone to tell other people what he'd found? I was confused, and a bit disappointed, but I was content with this. I could handle waiting.

I felt through my cave, noticing that my demon seemed stronger. I also noticed he was using the dungeon items I'd made, and figured he'd used them to feed on the hero. I felt a bit proud- that was actually clever. He was doing something now, but I was distracted by two icons. I'd leveled up again, and earned a new title. Another permanent one.

Title earned: Demon core

This is a permanent title and will be hidden once chosen. You have earned a demon's pure, unwavering loyalty. Through whatever actions you made to aid or be kind to the demon, you have earned his loyalty, and he would die for you. As such, you have earned this title. You now will also have a demonic aura now, something most people fear. In addition to this, you will grow faster over time and absorb the skills of any and all sentient creatures that die in your dungeon. This includes your monsters. This title will let you make skill books. These magical objects permanently grant a person access to the skill inside. In addition to the previous things, you will gain access to the demonic dungeon list, letting you create new plants and access new creations. Finally, all demonic creatures in your territory and near you will gain a bonus to their stats, and demonic creatures will feel drawn to your dungeon to try and live inside of it.

+1 random territory aspect.

Crystals in territory will now be enchanted with a random magical or elemental aspect upon formation.

I considered it, but didn't use it just yet. I didn't know how it would affect my angel. Actually, speaking of her... I created a drain in her area, keeping the water still flowing in from flooding and using it to create a spring on a hill above ground near where my temple was. That began creating a lake, and- not long after that- a river that lead to the cliff. I used the runoff to make a waterfall near the entrance to my cave. Now I just needed to make it better...

I added a filter to the pond in the crystal cavern- this one permanent and using living wood- and then channeled more ocean water into the lake, creating a slightly too-briny lake. Another two filters solved the problem, one half-buried to keep it from floating away, the other two trapped in rocks I formed for them. I could feel the fairies surrounding the lake, and seeming to enjoy it. I smiled, enchanting the filters with portal magic so they could keep open the portals to the sea and I wouldn't have to use so much energy. I smiled, then focused on the crystal room again and my angel. She hadn't moved much, and I was curious about why. I created some fireflies and glow-worms in that cave, ones that fed on magic.

My angel suddenly seemed more active, curious as she inspected the change. She must've liked the light... I created more living-wood spheres and hid them in indents in the wall, making them glow softly during the day and even softer at night, making the area much brighter. I hoped she liked it, and she seemed too. I was glad to make that cave prettier- besides, once the crystals started growing there, I knew it would make the place absolutely beautiful.

I started preparing for the next adventurer or party- beginning to more deeply learn about the water demons and angels so I would know how they worked and what they needed to live.
